I'm having a slightly annoying issue with EVNEW that is making the ships I'm creating look terrible. Attached are 2 images:
The first image is the mask file I select to import in EVNEW's RleD res editor, and the second image is what I get when the import is finished. I am having this problem with all of my masks, including planets, ships, and weapons.
Can someone please tell me how to fix this?

Try saving your original file in a black-and-white format. Hopefully someone more knowledgable will come along and help; it appears to me that EVNEW is converting the file to a black-and-white format and messing it up while doing so.

I don't have a whole lot of experience with this, but on a close look at your mask it isn't pure black and white. There's quite a bit of grey in there. I think this is why it's messing up.
Try using this mask: (url="http://"http://www.macfire.net/fe/mask.pct")http://www.macfire.net/fe/mask.pct(/url)
It wont load in your browser but that should work for you

I see what the problem was now, and now it works just fine. When I scaled my images down, photodeluxe created some grey pixels instead of pure black and white, but my problem is now solved . Thanks everyone.
