I just downloaded EVNEW, but I'm too dumb to figure it out. Is there some kind of tutorial-manual thing that could help me?

I don't think so. Plug-deving on PC with EVNEW is very recent, and not much documented. General things (that apply to both platforms and all editors) can be found in the Bible, that you find in your Nova distribution (a pre-release version can be found (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/news/upcoming/novabible.html")here(/url)), (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/ubb/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&forum;=EV+Plug-in+Developer+FAQs&number;=29&DaysPrune;=20&LastLogin;=")the plug dever FAQ(/url) (though it has been made for EV(O), the philosophy and some information it contains are still relevant), (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/ubb/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&number;=31&SUBMIT;=Go")Bomb's plugin guide(/url) (not that technical, but useful), and lastly, you can learn much only by spying how the data files (that specify the standard Nova scenario) works and implements stuff. As for how EVNEW in particular works, use its docs and trial-and-error (be sure to grab the latest version (url="http://"http://www.aznt.com/EVN/EVNEW/")here(/url) and remember it's an open beta).

The tooltip text is also helpful - just hold your mouse over anything in the EVNEW resource dialogue boxes, and a little box will pop up containing the relevant portions of the Nova Bible.
Welcome here, Belthazar! Thanks for adding this, info, I'v never actually used EVNEW (short explanation: the only PC I'm able to access, my school's ones, won't let me install Quick Time, necessary for EVNEW, as it would require admin powers).

Actually, Martin Turner somewhat recently updated it to include information about developing for Nova as well.
bond-jamesbond: Congrats on not coming in and saying "hey ken ne1 plz tech me how 2 mak plug ins cuz i would like to mak 1 but i dun no how plz hlp me".
To be more productive: Read the Bible a lot. It is your best friend. It wasn't until Nova came out that I got interested in plug-in development, and I used one resource: the EV Bible. I studied it inside and out, and everything eventually made sense. I easily movbed on to EVO, and now I'm developing for Nova as well as the next guy. Just make sure you don't look at the Bible and say "this is too hard to understand, it sucks", because, as I said: it is your best friend.
