Pirate ship names

I need ship names for my plugin, and I can't think of any.

I can think up names for people, islands, cities, ports, missions... you name it, but I can not think up ship names. This wouldn't be a problem for government ships, because the US named them things like The Constitution and The Patriot, but pirates named their ships The Bloodwake and others like that. I seem to have a block with these.

So, can someone give me a few cool sounding piratey names for me?

I want to help you, but I'm having enough trouble of my own for pirate (space) ship names. The few I have come up with I'm keeping secret.

Do you mean ship class names or specific ships?

Some of these can be used for either one.

The Pterodactyl (sp?)

I need ship names for the pirates in the missions, like:

"He leads you to his ship, The Black Swan , which you will be navigating blahblahblah..."

Since the player would be navigating ships occaisionally, a piratey name is essential.

Just to show how imaginative I am at ship names, The Black Swan is the only one I've come up with so far.

Blackbeard's Ship was the Queen Anne's Revenge.

Sir Francis Drake's--an English "Pirate" who is famous for raiding Spanish treasure ships--ship was the "Golden Hind". Technically, he was not a pirate, since Queen Eilzabeth I commissioned him as a privateer--he was a legal Pirate, pirating on behalf of the Crown.

Black Bart--Bartholomew Roberts--captained the Adventure Galley (url="http://"http://www.piratedocuments.com/pirates/bart_roberts_plunders_samuel_1720.htm")source(/url).

Here is another pirate ship names, taken from (url="http://"http://www.piratedocuments.com/pirates/document_list.htm")here(/url): Black Bull.

My contribution is "Threat of Blood"--it's the title of a book I saw in an article on Pirates I was scanning for this post.

More names can be found on the two web sites I mentioned. I mentioned names that I like.

Ahh, your the person whose doing this plugin. I heard about this a while ago, and It sounds very interesting. Good luck with it. As for Pirate ship names, 'The Sailing Reaper' I happen to like.

Out of curiosity, unless The Phantom doesn't want you to, couldn't you just use some of those names without the Hellhound or EMP torpedo concepts? I think most of them would still work.. Maybe not the Pirate IDA Frigate

It is not a cheat, I'm guessing this is the Total Conversion plugin that takes place at sea, not in space. And if he had released the plugin, there would be a link. Since there isn't, and the plugin isn't done, you're going to have to wait.
