I just found this out today, I figured that I would share it:
EnRle will not write output files if your resources that it works from are not named! It took me forever to figure that out this morning.
I don't know if anyone else has had this trouble or not, so I figured that I would share it.

It will. they are just called .RLED and .RLE8 and the OS doesnt like that so it doesnt show it. If you have ResEdit, you can find them and open them and there they are! Your RLE'd sprite.

The OS doesn't mind them, it just hides them. Any file beginning with a . is hidden, it's a UNIX thing
You can also use the Terminal to rename them in OS X, and there are a couple of finder hacks to show hidden files.

On a side note, does anyone have the link to the older version of EnRle that ran under OS9? It is not on wootware's page to my knowledge. I hate having to switch back and forth over and over to get things done! ( I ResEdit everything but the s˙sts, which I use Mission Computer for).

What version is it? Most carbon applications these days only work with version 1.6.
