I have a really awsome weapon sprite I made in photoshop. Its perfect for the TC I'm working on, the only way to spin it is to rotate it 10 Degrees thirty six times and paste it into a spin. But every, time I rotate the pic it gets smaller, after five rotations it can barely be seen! Can anybody help me? Do I need to do something else?

2D rotation is unadvised. Each time you rotate, some quality is lost. If you really wish to do that, I suggest you to take the original (that points up), copy it, rotate the copy 10°, recopy the original, rotate the copy 20°, recopy the original, rotate the copy 30°, and so on, this way nothing has been rotated more than once, which is by far preferable.

lol, I should have thought of that, I can make it better even. I'll increse the size a tad bit and then I shouldn't lose much. I hope this works. Thanx.
EDIT:It worked! when I merged the shot layer with the backround it didn't shrink and now I'm happily putting my spin together, thanks alot for the help Zacha! ------------------ Cmon people, the (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/cgi-bin/ubb/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&number;=20&SUBMIT;=Go")Chronicles(/url) are worth looking at.

I finnished the spin and it looks great. But I'm not here about that.
While testing the plugin I discovered that entering a negetive value in the mass field will make it so that when you sell the weapon you lose mass. Has anybody elso noticed this?
EDIT(why me):Just great, I'm having serios problems with weapon spins. Everything is ok when I shoot the gun at an angle, but when I shoot sreight up, or to the sides, the shot dissapears totaly, what the heck is wrong?!
About the new problem... I dont know.
Just a comment about making spins in 2d. Unless its spherical, or very very very small, its going to look weird against angled sprites. Even weapons sprites should be rendered out in 3d if possible
Also, we need to find a way to get that ship of yours over to me. I still havent recieved anything. Do you have an email address I could try sending to? I'll give you ftp details and you can upload it to my webspace

What did you expect? When you sell it, it adds to your mass. x + -y = x-y = loss.

yes of course it makes sense, but I've heard plenty about negitive values not working.
By the way, Thanks to the help I got from Zacha Pedro I have a new version of my TC for you to test out. Do you want it?

Sure. GO ahead and send it. Same email address.
If you add something in to give you more mass, then make sure you can't sell it, otherwise when you do, you'll lose the gained mass. Its like the mass expansion outfits in EVN.

Uhhh, which one is that? the one in your username?
Did you get my email? I have a suspicion that your email address doesn't work. Both mine work fine, and we seem to have no communication...

sigh ok, will do.
You know, if you PS manually to make each spin, it will look less realistic than a real 3D image spin. Mostly for one purpose, the lighting of the ship rendered in PS will rotate along with it. 3D however will keep the lighting fixed and the shadows will bend around the shape of the ship as it spins.
Just to let you know.
