I´m having a really diffiult time placing some beam starting points on my ship. Is there a secret technique, or is it just very hard, cause i can´t seem to get it right. The placement is perfect in the start, but then it rotates out of place.

I know that NovaTools makes this process indescribably easier, because in a couple seconds, you can test your adjustments. If you have a Mac and are not using NovaTools, I strongly recommend you do. In any case, that is the purpose of UpCompressX/Y and DownCompressX/Y. It performs some kind of correction I can't fathom. But if you use NovaTools, it will apply the corrections and you can easily see what needs to be made in terms of adjustment.
In any case, this is due to the fact that 45° sprites are not made to have the point spun around the default way. That is why, as the Bible describes, you should use Up/DownCompressX/Y for point correction in angled sprites.
EDIT: The newest version of EVONE may also be capable of this. I don't know if Jeff has finished the rlë8/D stuff yet.
