well, bascially, i was mdoing the sigma mission where i have to go to kontik to pick up palldaium. on the way back, i kept running out of fuel, so i decided to try and land, thi was rather diffeicult without being scanned. so one time, i was tring to land, before i did, i chjecked to make sure i hadnt been scanned yet, and started pressing "L" as quickly as poissible(i had allready been going slowly over the planet), but right before i landed on the planet, THEY SCANNED MY SHIP! i didnt have any time to react, and now the mission is lost forever. the reson im posting this here is, well, i was wondering if any of u guys would be kind enough to make a way for me to get that mission back. hopefully just make it so that hey never scanned me. thankyou.

Here's a tip for the future: the mission can be easily done if you have enough fuel to reach the auroran pirate haven... I think it's called houseless, but my memory is a little sketchy becuase I haven't played in a while. Basically, once you get there, find the wormhole and jump through it untill you get to the Sol wormhole. Easy way to avoid too much risk of scanning.

I just always do that mission in a Class IV Pirate Valkyrie and outrun all those poor bastards... Plus, the Pirate Valk, once fully loaded, has more than enough fuel and fuel regeneration to make it all the way there and back without landing, surprisingly. Just don't afterburn too much.

Next time, force quit. Nova doesn't save your pilot until you have taken off. But quitting won't work, that makes you automatically take off. And don't do this on an unstable computer, I remember how devastating force quitting was before OSX.

I would not recommend this. I have tried this in the past on 10.2 a couple of times and have had it corrupt the pilot file in question, the Nova Scenario Data, and the plug-ins I had loaded.
And Septcanmat, that is mild compared to my horror story. Try doing that run in a Leviathan. I never made it to Auroran space without being either killed or scanned. I ended up abandoning the pilot.
