I'm here on holiday in Saudi Arabia, and on an ex-computer of mine (the G3/292) I found a backup of a bunch of data for the Dreden Wars vaporware TC. All the Imperial missions that I wrote (about 2/3rds of the string), several ship descriptions, a truckload of bar descriptions...
...and the complete map to the Dreden Wars Universe.
Anyone still interested in putting this thing together?

Oh man, I know nothing whatsoever about the plug, but it has to be completed now! This is like stumbling on an ancient relic- or more like that super-rare silver dollar that was in the WTC and they keep hocking replicas of on TV! Man, if it survived this long, unfinished, that's sheer grit on it's part. It deserves a reincarnation!
Masamune wonders how many vaporware TC's are on the computers at his local salvage yard...

In the event that the TC isn't revived, I could probably use parts of it in my Firefly TC. Particularly if you've got any decent graphics----landscapes, planet spins, ships, etc. Heck, even planet descriptions would be helpful.
However, I certainly wouldn't ask you to share that kind of thing if there's any chance of a revival for your own plug.

Wow... now there's something! I was visiting our old development board not too long ago actually. I had thought of asking whether people wanted to restart the project for NOVA, but it was such a huge undertaking that I doubted anyone would be interested. I certainly wouldn't mind doing more modeling for it, and making NOVA quality versions of existing ships but I need to finish the project Im working on currently

Actually I should also add that I was speaking with Captain Carnotaur not too long ago and he still has all the development files. That would be everything made so far. I asked for the files but he had no way of sending them over (no web-space). Since I now have a **** load of space I might see if he could upload them to my northern swamp account. I would love to see the project finished for NOVA, and am willing to do some work on it once I've finished with Final Eclipse. What's everyone else's feelings on this?
The graphics would be quite straightforward to do since old graphics already exist. All that needs done is for them to be reworked in 3D. With the existing visual aids, this is quite straight forward!
I've never really heard of this plug before, but I need the experiance with the new Nova engin, and it sounds like it could turn out great. I'd love to see a vaporware plug come back into existance for Nova, especially so we can prove so many none believers wrong. I can do graphics and am slowly learning how to create mission strings. There are a few ideas I had on the Imperial storyline that would be right up Nova's alley.

I just tried to go to the forums we had again there, and it seems that they no longer exist! Rather unfortunate really since it had a lot of info on it. The site is down. I cant find it either...
I have no idea what this TC is about, and had never heard of it before this thread.
But if it's as good as Guapo's stories on the Chronicles board, I can't wait.
Good luck with it, it would be really cool to see a Vaporware TC rise from the dead.

Yeah, this will mean you dont get the descs! It would look really crap if two plugs were released with the same descs Besides, they will all have their roots based in the Dreden Universe and history

Ok, I'll slap something temporary up on GuapoHQ. No guarantee it'll be completely accurate...it's been a while. Carno, it's in your best interests to find this stuff eventually.

I recently stumbled across some of the Dreden War graphic files and got to thinking about the plug... we had a good project going (horrible though the original graphics were). I cannot commit to an EV-related project right now, but I honestly am considering working on Dreden War again.
I've been away from the community these last few months enjoying the time off. But the urge to start modeling again is getting the better of me.
