An EV-related project I am working with is in need of a few C++ programmers. We are, as of yet, keeping the project as low key as possible since it is still in development. We have an adequate number of graphics designers right now. In an effort to speed up our development, we are looking for an extra few willing and able C++ programmers on the Mac and Windows platforms. If you have experience in network programming and in graphics implementation, specifically openGL, we may be able to use your help. What is this project? I'm an experienced C++ programmer, and I'm learning OpenGL this quarter (sitting in the class this moment, actually). Mail me some details if you don't want to explicitly say cough multiplayer cough 3DEV cough.
Of course, my time right now is EXTREMELY limited... but I might be able to help a little bit.

And you can likely understand why I am not being specific as to the nature of the project in this forum. Expect the major advertisements in a few months.
I know a fair bit of C++ (as well as C, SML, and Java), but I'm doubtful whether it'd be enough to help out. I don't have much experience programming for graphics or OpenGL or whatever, but I can do data structures just fine. If you have need of someone to write a few small such functions, send me the pre- and post-conditions and I'll see what I can do.

I'm a pretty good C++ programmer, and I have some decent experience with Windows and DirectX programming, and a little with OpenGL. However, seeing as I already have my own projects to work on, I can't say I'll be able to help. I have a fair amount of experiance with C++ and several huge manuals if I get stuck. My father is a C++ programmer and uses it as his main programming language, so if I get stuck irriversably I can count on him. You give me an objective and if it can be done I'll get it done. I love EV Nova and well dedicate myself compleatly to the results, if only to prove I can do it.

I'm also competant with Java, if you need anyone that has those skills. You've said you dont need any more people for graphics but if you need a hand I can be of use there to. But I only do Ships and Stations. I cant do anything that looks natural for some reason, no good pictures in my mind. But if you wanna ship thats all curves I'm your man. I've read the Deatherstalker novels so I also have idea's and designs for ships that just dont look natural.

Haven't heard of Black Nova. Sounds interesting though. To answer your question, no its not Black Nova. Not going to say anything else publicly from this point because of the development team's desire to keep things low key.
