Hi 222, Welcome to the boards. The demo version will allow saves BUT if you are on OS X you need a work-around. Create a text file named something like "mygame.pog", then when you want to save, overwrite this with the pog save. There have been several threads on this topic. Use the search feature from the main screen (top, right) to get more complete answers. Look for topics about "save game" and "OS X" I hope that helps. ~RD

What version of PoG are you running?
The initial release of the demo had a bug where you could save your game but could not load a saved game. For this you need to browse your hard drive and locate the saved game file itself, then launch it by double clicking on it.
If you have a later version, or if you are using OS 10.2 Jaguar, then you will need to follow the steps that RD mentioned above.

Wow, when I had the demo I thought not being able to load a saved game was a restriction...

Depends which bug you are talking about. If it is the Jaguar bug the answer is not yet. If it is not being able to load a saved game then yes, this is fixed in the registered version.

I remember it saying that you couldn't load saved games until you registered though...although I got the registration code the day after, so it only did that once.

In Pog v. 1.0.0, you couldn't. In v. 1.0.2 you can. (don't know about 1.0.1)

Perhaps because you couldn't get very far in the game. I remember my first few games, I had gotten killed when two goblins attacked me at once (of course, I didn't know that you actually had to equip your weapons, but that's another story). As I got better at the game, I ended up getting killed by things like Red- coated theives. But I still got killed and had to start all over. So then I update to 1.0.2 and was able to explore furthur since I could recover from my errors. And then I realized how badly I wanted to register...
