Okay, and I think I have a policy for use down - Once I have them up, you're all free to take and play with them for personal use. If you want to use them in a plug, let me know which ones. (So I can keep track.) We'll talk about specifics (such as credits) in that email. Thanks. I'll post the URL's here when the time comes.**
I'd actually be interested in this. I'm trying to start working with Strata and I'd like to see how others have worked it. It'd be cool to be able to do my own models, too ..

Right now aznt is going to host it, but things aren't going so well with my ability to ftp in, so we'll see. If it plays out, I'll try and send you the 3D models. Email me.

it only works for 50 trys, or maybe 50 days. i don't know, i registered mine.
Edit: ok, i found it: (url="http://"http://filedudes.siol.net/mac/ftp/monica.html")http://filedudes.sio...ftp/monica.html(/url)
and here is a site with great information about it: (url="http://"http://www.blackdiamond.co.za/Monica/Documentation/MNSection6.html")http://www.blackdiam...MNSection6.html(/url)

Its been ready to go for the past 2 days, Im just waiting for Arion to send me the LASIKed version of his Minotaur ship and I'll upload it. I might delay it slightly while I get the Strata models section re-done... not sure yet.

Will do. Im going to see how EVula feels about giving me a free upgrade, otherwise I may need to find other means of hosting. I do have some free space left on my iDisk... I'll put them up no matter what

I think we have the uploading thing straightened out. One file got transfered, I've posted it to the webserver. Now that we know it works, more should be coming. (url="http://"http://www.aznt.com/EVN/")www.aznt.com/EVN/(/url) -Az

ok cool. i'm so impatient.
If you want to help, I need a unix or mac os X utility that will compress files. It must be free and preserve resource forks, there are no other requirements. It can be GUI or command line, I have no preference as to that.

hmmmmm.... i don't know anyoff hand, or what all of it really even measn, however i'm know far and wide in my town for my abilites for finding things over the internet. i will start the search for one such utility now.
ok, like i said, i am not sure about what it all is, however i think this might be what you looking for: (url="http://"http://download.com.com/3000-2232-10217425.html?tag=lst-0-1")http://download.com....tml?tag=lst-0-1(/url)
i'll keep looking just in case its not.
I thought stuffit could compress to a format that saved the resource fork, cant it? I would that that whatever is used by people to distribute plugins would work, because that has to preserve the resource fork. Isnt there also a format called macbinary? (*.bin)? Please avoid any MAC OS X only programs. I would be very sad if i couldnt open the files i am hosting. -Az
ohhhh.... ok. i was going to put up the links for the zip utilities, but i was not sure if that option had already been considered.
Edit: ok, here some non X compressors: (url="http://"http://download.com.com/3000-2254-5040047.html?tag=lst-0-4")http://download.com....tml?tag=lst-0-4(/url)
(url="http://"http://download.com.com/3000-2254-10185594.html?tag=lst-0-5")http://download.com....tml?tag=lst-0-5(/url)
(url="http://"http://download.com.com/3000-2197-10154073.html?tag=lst-0-3")http://download.com....tml?tag=lst-0-3(/url)
and of course, there is always Dropstuff, which comes on all Macintoshs (not sure about computers before the Performa Models).
Edit2: redid some spelling.
Edit3: grrrrrr... redid the spelling mistake in Edit2. ------------------ Finding the perfect signature bites. I quit.
Stuffit (which is supplied with OS X) is free and when you use .sit compression preserves resource forks. It is in the Utilities folder as default

All I see is the expander.
^Well, if a search doesn't turn up "DropStuff" anywhere, you can just download the free package from (url="http://"http://www.aladdinsys.com")www.aladdinsys.com(/url) . That includes the latest version of Expander, as well as DropStuff and several other things.
