Hey everyone!
I was wondering. Is there any way of preforming Lasik on an image using, say...GraphicConverter (or any other decent graphics application besides PhotoShop?).
Thanks for your time.
-And no offense, but if you don't know what lasik is, don't bother to ask.

The GIMP opensource package should do most of what you need for LASIK, I think.

Ah! Thank you!
Enter the realm of OS X...
Wasn't GIMP originally a Linux program? I could swear I've seen my dad using it before...
Well, it's Open Source, and consequently linux is the only platform you're Likely to see it on. To run it on OS X, you need to install Apple's (url="http://"http://www.apple.com/macosx/x11/")X11 server(/url) (easy) and then install The GIMP itself (a little tricky). The end result is... not pretty, but it's adequate, and free.
If you're brave, the best way to do this is with (url="http://"http://fink.sf.net")Fink(/url). Don't trust the MacGIMP people.

GIMP is available for Windows, precomplied actually. Do a search for "winGIMP".
Which, I guess, does you no good if you're on a mac; d'oh. I did a google for "GIMP Macintosh" and saw some hits too; what was the second result for me seemed to have a Mac version of it for free. I'd give that a try.
i suggest a search for "adobe photoshop warez"

Um, yeah, good idea...
Thanks all. Got the GIMP working (as well as OS 10.2) because of this post. Now, to see if this really works...
