Heres the problem, I am trying to make textures for my models in Strata, so I am using Adobe Photoshop 5.0 Limited Addition. I make a nice looking texture, and I try to save it, but it only lets me save it in the Photoshop format. When I try putting the texture in the Photoshop format in the Strata texture library, I open up Strata and cannot use my texture. I also tried to export it from Photoshop, but it exports it into a Gif format which doesent work in Strata either. So, Im wondering, what format do the textures have to be in to work with Strata, and how do I put my files into this format. I am using Strata 3.0.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, Im fed up of having to use other peoples textures.

Easy: go to the Layers palette in Photoshop and flatten the layers via the " v " button (it should pop up a menu with "Flatten Image" as one option). Then you should be able to save to any format.

Photoshop is weird. You have to choose "Save As Copy..." from the File menu to save it as another file format, such as PICT. I don't know what a good file format would be to use in Strata, but most 3D applications support PICTs.
Edit: erased some mild stupidity.

Thankyou!
Thanks very much guys, I've got it to work now. I've been struggling for ages trying to work out how to do that (don't laugh, Im new to all this )
Or, once you've flattened the image, Select All, Copy, and then Paste into the Strata Texture.
