EVONE is still in beta, it is not feature complete. The only feature complete editor is Resedit with Novatools.

The version of EVONE you have will only allow you to create resources it has editors for, which is not a lot.
Be on the lookout for the next public beta of EVONE which features some major improvements. It has a hex editor, a full template driver (to edit resources based on ResEdit templates), and a large number of assorted features. I can't say for sure, but the ETA should be just a few more weeks. The private beta cycle for this next release is winding down.
After this next public beta, I will probably declare it final and start working on more graphical editors.
Also, watch out for the release of a top-secret project called Luna around the same time

Heh, yeah, the problem is that the more time I spend on the manual, the less time for the program. Personally, I'd rather have a great app and a bad manual than vice versa. The manual for that beta, BTW, was finished at 2 AM on the day it was released. (It was released at 10AM )
Ya, and the one I did is just as bad....

Well, I hope that in the final application you explain the "basic" things like how you use the galaxy editor.

If you need any assistance whatsoever, please post at (url="http://"http://forums.ariossoftware.com")http://forums.ariossoftware.com(/url) EVONE's beta testers and myself would be happy to help you. You should be able to just drag things around in the galaxy editor to make it work, and click and drag between systems with the link tool to add links. Click with the New tool to add a new system. Please post any more specific inquiries on the aforementioned forums.
In a related note, if anyone has the time and the interest to write a full manual for EVONE, it would be welcomed. Contact me (jeffrey@ariossoftware.com) if you are interested.
Edit: UBB code fix.

Is there anyway to get it to work on OS 8.1? I tried it and it won't work. Is there any way you could make a 8.1 compatible version

it is possable, update to the latest version of Carbon Lib I belive.. please post that in the support forum on the Arios Software Forums, where you will get better help
If I recall, EVONE only works in 8.6 and above. 8.1 is untested, and thus unsupported. Perhaps Jeffrey will end up making a PPC version, but it will be a seperate download.

EVONE is known to work on OS 9 and up. At one point it was tested on OS 8.6 and worked and it is believed to work currently. It should work on OS 8.1 if you update CarbonLib to the newest version available. For instructions, please see the EVONE FAQ on the aforementioned forums.
EVONE is a Carbon app that works on both operating systems. A PPC version will not be released due to the substantial code changes required. In all likely-hood, future versions will only run on X. (Don't worry, not in the immediate future at all, but as the user base switches over.)
You mean once I get X

I tried to install Carbonlib 1.6 but it says that it is damaged or doesn't work on my computer.

What exact system version are you running? The system requirements for CarbonLib 1.6 are on its downlaod page. You may need to find an older version that works on your system.
You may want to try to get help with this on (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/ubb/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&number;=64&SUBMIT;=Go")Just Tech(/url) if you still have problems with CarbonLib (assuming it is supposed to be able to run on your computer).
