I posted this on the Nova baord, but it attracted little interest, and I unwisely neglected to post it here. So, here goes, come one, come all! ------------------ I think it'd be cool to make a plug of everyone's personal ship designs, such as one's they've posted in the gallery. I would be willing to make this plug if anyone who wants to participate would e-mail me their ships.
Try to make your ships interesting and cool looking, and please no uber-ships. I will limit this to about 20-30 ships, and the best ones will be accepted. I will make them available for purchase either during mission strings or at S7evyn, depending on the ship's charateristics.
To make sure things go more smoothly, please read the "ship" section of the EVN Bible.
To participate in this plug-in.... Send the following things to me: 1. The graphics for your ship. Please do not send the 3D model. Send either a movie file, PICT sequence, tiled sprite & mask, or Resedit files with Rle8s, RleDs, and shans. Be sure to include pics of the target, shipyard, and large shipyard shots. For best results, render with the (url="http://"http://www.evula.org/monster/lasik.html")LASIK(/url) technique.
2. Either a Resedit file with the ship resource, or an explanation of the ship's stats, including everything you see in the shipyard "info" dialog as well as weapons (limit of 8), outfits (limit of 8), variants (please no more than 4), and any other special features your ship has (escape ships, etc.)
3. The shipyard, escort, and comm descriptions, and the full name and subtitle(s) of the vessel.
Anyone is welcome, especially people who make those butt-whoopin' pics in the gallery. Weepul, Arion, Captain Skyblade, AAC, Matrix, this means you.

I've got the Krikkit ship I designed for the now-defunct HHG plugin I was making... it's got shield glows - are the allowed?

Mantaray, your ship is completely finished and added to the plug, along with your pers.
In case I didn't mention it, everyone who participates gets a pers. You'll be flying the ship you contribute and your subtitle will be a list of all the ships you authored in the plug. Be sure to include what you want your pers to say when hailed.
I'm rendering out my S.S.S. Falcon. Are we allowed to include custom weaponry? (this ship requires some, so tough. :p)
Hmm, we get to submit more than one? If I get the time, I'll make a new design...

I feel your pain. I have well over three notebooks filled with sketches/detail drawings of dozens of ships. Sadly I could hardly do justice to any of them in 3D. :frown:

And at this point, I feel that I must break out with a big ol' <cryptic grin>. Why? Only because I just got an idea, one that coincides with another plan that will hopefully be getting moved from the back burner soon enough...

Well, I never really made any descriptions for them... They were intended for other people's use and as such, they would make up the descriptions themselves, so Im kind of scuppered here. Give me a few days and I will email you some stuff, but intill then, Im not sure.
