I don't know if this is a known issue or a new one...
Creating a 100% 0 duration/0 pre/0 post crön entry that converts one outfit to another (o1 & !o2 enable, do1 g02).
Only problem is that it seems to work only when taking off from planets. Er. Wha?

hrm. Have you tried making a 1 duration crön to see if that works? I haven't fiddled with the crön resource yet, so I don't have much experience with them.
------------------ Smile, damn it!
I ended up making a 'post' duration of 1. I think the problem is some awfully strange self-interference getting set up.
It's not precisely the behavior I wanted, but it's good enough.
Basically, the oütf is a probe launcher. It's ammo is 'ready probe.' The crön transfers 'stored probes' to 'ready probe' if there is one but not the other, to put it simply.
As it is, probes are readied about 2 days after one is fired. This is good enough, though.
I've actually made a couple of cröns that have duration etc. all at 0, and it works fine, it just doesn't work when you're landed. It can be triggered multiple times (using iteration, at least) in a single day in space (proved to work with a Gxxx).
If you want an outfit converted as you buy them (not what you want, but another little trick), I'd recomend using the onPurchase field and a Gxxx set expression, combined with "Remove after purchase" flag.
------------------ Some call me strange. Some call me weird. Some just call me Normal Guy.
I think crons, misns, bits, etc only set when you're landing, on a planet, or taking off. So even if time passes by travel, the cron won't reset (as it seems is neccessary since there's no or little duration) until you've landed. Course I could be completely wrong - just an idea

No, that's incorrect -- they are triggered by travel time as well. That's how the Vell-os "mapping" ability is performed -- a crön grants a map oütf to the player.

Indeed, although at I said before, time does not actually need to pass to have a crön iterate.
