I am looking for a model of the Hawk from the original EV for use in EVONE's logo. I have searched the boards, and though Ambrosia has not officially released models of EV ships, it appears that a number of people have modeled them themselves and/or possess such models. I already have a model of the Voinian fighter and am not sure what I will do about the Starbridge. Does anybody have any ideas on how I should represent Nova in the logo? The reason I would like the models is because I need to render the ships at some specific angles on white instead of black.

You could re-model the Hawk. It's simple enough that an experienced modeler could re-create it in probably under a half an hour. All it basically is a cylinder and a sphere with wings and tails. Of course, you'd have to manipulate some of the points to make the model a bit more accurate, but that seriously wouldn't take long.

Thanks, I did a little work on it and now it looks pretty good in the logo.
Matt Dailey's also made a lot of really good remodels...many were featured in Pale.

You know it's funny, but the EVGE story line about an ambassador who was attacked plunging two nations into war, ended by a bold attack behind enemy lines sounds remarkably familiar. So does the prophecy about one who will bring balance to the advanced race or something... And that storyline for the EVGE was written ages ago. Is it possible that ATMOS is guilty of a little plagarism?

Another thing that's funny is the fact that on EV board, the idea that ATMOS got the name of the Polaris government recently came up.
But then again, I find it highly unlikely ATMOS tried to copy anything from EVGE, except its greatness.
And another thing that's funny, but not really, is how little your post has to do with the thread (well, okay, maybe you replied to the wrong topic, but we can forgive you for that).

The damn reason I posted that was because the guy above me posted a link to grand novice (the evge page) and I went there because I hadn't in a while, and I read the plotline again. So read the whole thread before you criticize me about relevance.

I think that's where the problem came up; while the plotline you gave is indeed from Grand Novice, the name of the plug-in is EVES, not EVGE. The actual EVGE plug-in hadn't come up in this thread, which is why Firebird thought you were off-topic.

Matt Dailey has done some more work on it since the site was last updated (he was going to be developing it for Nova at one point), but I don't think he's working on it right now. It's a pity - I've still got some of his old builds for the original Escape Velocity, and it was starting to look interesting, and the graphics are of course excellent (he also did many of the graphics for Pale, and two ships in Talon).
