new to developing

Ok I down load resedit and novatools and open resedit. I go to create new resource and no nove ones are there.

Did you follow the installation instructions for Novatools?

Even after doing the install, you may have to enter the type names manually. Just check the Nova Bible for the 4-character types.

As I posted in a previous thread:

a) Open the ResEdit prefs into resedit.
🆒 Open the NovaTools resource file (it looks like a Mac Jack-in-the-Box)
c) Select all the resources in the NovaTools resource file (they get outlined in black)
d) Hit Command+C to copy
e) Hit Command+V to paste into the ResEdit Prefs file you have opened. If it says you are going to replace any resources, just replace them.
f) Save and quit

Now when you run ResEdit, any Nova resources will have a plug-in icon.
