And because of this, i have some questions. One, in particular. How do you take a resedit resource file thingy and turn it into a plug? Also, I can't find the ship resource in the New Resource dialog box. Where is it?

1: In ResEdit, choose File > Get Info on (pluginname). Change the Type field to Npďf and the Creater field to Növä. To get the funk vowels, push option+u, let go, then type in your letter.
2: Just type in "shďp" in the editfield; you don't need to select it in the listbox.

The "ç" character is gotten by option-c. If you're running OS9, open up Key Caps and hold the option and shift buttons down (on their own and together) to see the full range of characters and how to get them. Dunno what the OSX equivalent is.

OSX has a carbonized copy of Key Caps in the "Utilities" folder within "Applications"

:frown: Well, one more question. I can't read all that code in the ship resource, so I try to edit it with ShipWrite. Well, it doesn't work, because my plug is "read-only". My question is how do you disable that?
You go into Getinfo For this file and uncheck Resources Locked.

...It is not checked. I even tried unchecking "Inited", but that did not work either.
Then select it and go under file to Shareing and see what your preferances are.

File -> Get Info -> Sharing
sighs I tried every file menu under every conditions possible, and there is no sharing option under "get info". Do I have to do this before it is a plugin file or what?
