I believe that strata was given on one of the older MacAddict cd's. You simply had to register, and you got the program. I dont know exactly which.. Ill search for it in my brother's archives - it might be there. if so, i'll see if I can e-mail it to you.

Well I have most of the early Mac Addicts... Just give me a cd number and I will till you if i have it. And I know i should look but you probly already have started and i dont know where half of my cd's are. But do you have the complete story of Hard Drive or something. The one about the virus.. I'm missing everything after chapeter 4.. Or something like that..
Found what CD it's on. August for the full version of Strata 3.0 from what I read... Which i dont have that cd
I downloaded the full version of Strata 3D base a year ago from their website, and all I had to do was register. I just don't see any spot on their website where you can get the base version anymore...

I found a link to that spot from another site. hey no longer offer the site. So i'm going to back order a copy from MacAddict. Though i will get it in a few weeks its better than nothing
Unless someone who has it would like to stuff it and segment it into 5 meg files and put it on the web for me. That would be better....
Download.com should have it. That's where I got the 3.0.2 base version from (which is supposed to be better than the 3.5 version).

It is. base was a cut down version of 3.5 pro , as was plus only to a much lesser extent. It really sucked and had quite a few less features that you really need than 3.0.2 free such as expert mode in texturing, and everything else that made 3.0.2 just such a great free program.
The reasonyou cant find it is that Strata now dont offer base. They stopped doing it about 3 or 4 months ago. Your best bet is to get a copy of 3.0.2 free and use someone else's preference files and stuff to get it working. I will give you my filesbut I cant provide the software (56k modem!).

Now this is b*tch. It tells me that I'm not connected to the net. When i prress continue after entering my code. Now what. I'm using 3.0.2 and the folder size is 35 MB. I'm sure i have everyting. Anyone want to help?

The software you want is Strata Vision3D 4.0 on macaddict #27 nov'98, it's green, black and white. The magazine cover reads Back in the Black.(I just realized this arrived in my birthmonth almost 4 years ago, what a gift) It also comes with VideoShop 3.0. the interface aint quite iMovie but it works on non DV formated and Sized movies. plus it does some things iMovie doesn't.
The installer is 25 megs, just a hair to large for an iDisk but I would be willing to AIM it to you, if you wan't to wait about an hour and a half for it to transfer. my AIM is ThorPrime1984. also, this version has nothing disabled. works on animations, all texture properties and doesn't ask for a stupid net connect to register. ------------------ (url="http://"http://homepage.mac.com/thorprime")NovaBurst Home(/url)

Dont stress... Firstly, what Sysyem software are you running? Strata requires Mac OS 8.5 or higher. Secondly, i dont think it will accept registrations anymore since it has been discontinued. I will send you my preference files. Check your mail.
All I had to do was restart my computer. They should make a readme in the installer saying RESTART NOW
