For those of you that frequent the boards, this is another request for a graphics artist. You see enough of these every week, and probably don't want to read further unless you are a graphics artist. That said, A friend and I are endeavoring to create a TC plug-in for EV Nova. We both have a quite a bit of experience with the programming aspect of EV (Though, a couple of the new features of Nova have been a bit of a challenge). However, neither of us has the software, experience, or software money to do the graphics required for a TC. In short, we need help. At current count we have some 45 ships and 69 weapons which require outfit/shipyard graphics, we may increase that slightly, but itΒs mostly finalized. Outfits are not settled upon yet, but to highball, expect approximately 75. Now to the details, we are not able to pay for your services. This is strictly a labor of love for both of us, and we don't have a great deal of capital. The best we can offer is a small lump sum. On the other hand, we're not in any rush to finish the plug. So, even if you can only render the graphics a couple at a time every once in a while, we can work it out. As for skill, we want someone with reasonably good graphics ability, and decent software. We're not looking for a professional, but if all you have is a couple of months of experience with Mechanisto, you're not going to be able to handle the work. If we can pull off this plug we intend to publish two sequels (The height of arrogance, writing a TC trilogy). We'd like to find someone that can hang on for the sequels as well, but even if you can only do the graphics for one plug, we'd appreciate your assistance. Ok, I am probably not going to be able to fuly start for another week or so until school is out. I would also like maybe a timeframe of when you want the stuff, and if we can get someone else to help with them, that would be great(I could do it alone I guess, but working with someone is always much more fun).

Although I'm not available to work for you, I just thought I'd mention that it's interesting to see someone else who has a TC-trilogy idea. However, I'm probably not even going to attempt to make mine. My, uh, dualogy (?), however, I will.

We're on the upcoming plugs at EV-Nova.net. However, we're not giving out too much info. The name of the project is the Ages Trilogy. The individual plugs are The Age of Exploration, The Age of Domination, and The Age of Restoration.

That's fine, Steve and I still have a lot of programming work to do, so there's no rush. The timeframe is very flexible, as long as we've got it done around this time next year we'll be happy. That's for the Age of Exploration. We don't have all of the ships and weapons decided for the Age of Domination and the Age of Restoration, so it'll be a while before we even know what to tell you. You and Divals the Conqueror can split up the work however you wish, I'll send everything to both of you.
I'd be willing to do some work on landing pics as well, should you need someone (which, if Divals is helping you, you probably don't.) I, of course, work absolutely for free.

I dont usually dont do these request things but I will not have much on over the summer so I could do with a time filler. At the moment, im pretty busy but the exams finish soon and can work from then (they finish in two weeks time). I will do some outfits and weapons and maybe a few ships. Stations I can also do.

Thanks for the support everyone. BariSaXGuy5 is currently doing the weapons and ships, but I don't think he'd object too much if I took a couple away from him (We have several weapons). I've asked him to do a couple of animated spobs, but planets are pretty much entirely open. We also have a very large non-weapons outfit list. So we need someone for that. I'll email all of you what we've got so far on the outfits, and I'll send some specific planets/stations etc. we'll need. Like I said, none of this is a rush job, and I'm not going to force you to give up your academic life or live on charity for a plug, so just send stuff in as you can do it. Thanx again, emails will follow.

Oh, already sent it. I know what you mean, I keep an @mac.com account to send public email messages to. The email was from my private account, so I'm not going to publish it fully, but the sn is "sybrtoof" (I coined it when I didn't know how to spell "cyber", used AOL, and when AOL only allowed 8 characters).
I still haven't gotten that email. perhaps you should send it again.
Well, though I don't have an enormous amount of free time, I can do ship modeling. If you like my work and still need the assistance, I would be willing to do a few ships for you; say at least one race/group (if you want, I'll do their outfits/weapons as well). I really prefer to do more sleek designs, so a race that had Arroran/Federation style ships would be less fun for me than say a race with ships like the Starbridge/Valk/all Polaris ships/all wraith/Velos ships. So, if you want, send me a few ships, and I'll do my best, though, as I said, I donΒt have an enormous amount of time on my hands, so they may take a while. Joe
