My friend and I are beginning development of a plug for EVN. Both of us are fairly adept at the manipulation of EV, but we are sadly lacking in the graphics department. If anyone could suggest a good (and relatively inexpensive) graphics program, it would be much appreciated.

Strata, but I suggest getting someone who knows what they are doing. most plugs fail because the graphics arent done.

Mechanisto is very simple. I, for one, find it must simpler and straight forward. I have not spent a whole lot of time in strata

Well, if you're like 90% of graphics people around here, you will eventually switch to Strata unless you can get something better. Why not start with it?

well, strata3d is a place to start, but you'll seriously want a better modeler to go with it. you can use the LW demo to model sub200-point objects and then export and import them to strata3d. there's also a free version of amapi4.15 at (url="http://"http://www.insidecg.com/downloads.php")http://www.insidecg.com/downloads.php(/url) but i couldn't get it to install. there at least used to be a "lite" viersion of pixels 3d studio, but i'm not sure about it's current state.
and you will definately need a copy of PS (elements or LE is propably good enough for what you'll be using it for).

Hrm. I checked the URL, and opened up the FTP connection in Dreamweaver, which works perfectly. I was even able to open the url in dreamweaver. It just doesnt wasnt to load in the Browser. Strange. I will try to sort it out. If not would you like me to email it to you (the html and image files)?

Seriously, I'd recomend Infini-D or Cinema 4D GO. You could probably buy either second hand quite cheap (you'll have to with infini-d - it's no longer supported). Cinema 4D GO isn't too expensive, unlike it's more complex brother XL.
