Does anyone know where I can find a user friendly sprite maker. I don't really understand the spin reasourse(sp?).How could you make the picts exactly fit with the spin thingys.

What exactly do you mean by a sprite maker? If however you are meaning a proram with which to make ships, then (url="http://"http://www.strata.com/")Strata 3D(/url) allows you to make 3D models which can be then rendered into 256 Colour pics and movies and from there made into sprites for addition to a plug-in via the other programs mentioned.
If you were a bit more descriptive, then I may be able to help better.

If you are talking about a program to make ship graphics, than Strata3D you should use. Only make sure that it isn't Strata3Dbase. I really have to go. Ask Jules. He's an Expert.

I would hardly call myself an expert but thanks all the same. I still have a LOT ot learn about the program, but I have made quite a few advances recently.
RebelRunner is right. Do not, what ever you do get Strata 3D base. It is basically the same as the old free version except with several key features that made the old free version such good value. It has had metaballs, advanced texturing, and animation removed from the old free version plus many more things that I cant remeber off the top of my head. I would recommend searching (url="http://"http://www.download.com")www.download.com(/url) for Strata 3D 3.0.2 free if you want to try the best free version of Strata.
But if you wanted a program that makes sprites, spin, and mask from either a single pic, or a group of sprites you made, I'd use make spďn 2.0, you can find it (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/vftp/dl-redirect.pl?path=ev/utilities&file;=MakeSpin20PPC.hqx")here.(/url)
