I vote for EV Ultimate, which is just getting off of its feet in development. It's an expansion to EV Override, instead of the new galaxy thing. But it's supposed to add like 10 new governments, tons of new ships, and like 100 new systems!

New Republic for original EV... I've been waiting for it for around 4-5 years... I was on the beta testing team for a while (why I stopped, I have no idea), and it really looked amazing though the stories weren't done & graphics we re-done.
Unfortunately, it seems to be in stasis right now -- maybe it'll get picked up again.

Of course, and I think that you'll be pleasantly surprised at how much has been done. I'm thinking of holding off release until Nova though, depends on how much I get done this month. If there's going to be an EVO release, it'll be this summer.

Well- if I were you, I'd either get it done around RIGHT NOW, or wait for EVN. GS has decided to wait to do Docmother for EVN. Yes, I know Docmother has been around forever, and that it hasn't been released, but hey-GS HAS released a product. Hehehehehehe. Docmother might be moved to another date.
Right now I think I'm going to go for an EVN release. This will give me the rest of the summer to finish up everything but the actual mission coding (although I've already got 84 missions coded). Besides, there's so many new cool things that will be possible with EVN . That way when EVN comes out, I'll only have to code the remaining missions, add a few new weapons and update the galaxy (systems, spobs). Hmmmmm, maybe I should update my website.
