EVO God is useful for some of the resources -- especially outfits and weapons. EVO Developer's Map is wonderful for stellars and spobs. Shipwrite is the best for ships. Mission Control is slightly buggy (it's a beta, after all!), but it works well enough for missions. For all else, use ResEdit. The Bible is really easy to understand, once you get over the inital fear.

Alright, I'll give EV-Edit one thing . it's OK (alright, pretty good) for learning the ropes of plug-in developing, so Res-Edit isn't as scarry when you first start using it. Because you will only be scared by the complexity of Res-Edit, and you'll have gotten over the complexity of the plug-ins.

Hey, Ben didn't make the best, but the was the FIRST, and he tried hard, because most of it actually DOES work. So c'mon! Let the program be!
In the words of Yoda: "Do, or do not. There is no try."
I still prefer ResEdit.

(hehe plus I'll appreciate you're program, too!) This isn't meant offensive, but rather defensive :frown: Heck, at VMI, since I won't have a TV, I'll even be missing my favorite TV show: Digimon. Ah, well. We all need to make some sacrifices to achieve our life's goals.

Don't forget me!
I'm writing a free, opensource resource editor to replace ResEdit. Currently it only runs on OS X / CarbonLib, but I'll be bringing it back to 7.1 eventually.
It uses plug-in editors which are really simple to write (compared to ResEdit's editors) and am needing some help doing EV* editors. Anyone want to voulenteer? Good knowledge of the Bibles reqd.
