I opened the EV Graphics file in Res-Edit and got all of the graphics in EV. I need to know how to use these graphics so I can use them for EV-Edit. How do you transfer the pictures in Res-Edit to EV-Edit?
Copy them out of EV Graphics, paste them into GraphicConverter (You SHOULD have it) and then use the trim command and save 'em. They should work fine

Why trim? It seems to me that would just mess them up.

Um, no offense, but if you've got a working ResEdit, why on earth would you want to start working with EV Edit? Especially for the very simple task of graphics?
