I have recorded half a dozen sounds in resedit for custom landing sounds that sound fine by themselves, but they do not play when I land on the planets. I have given them appropriate ID's (10006, 10007, etc), and the ID's are entered in the planet Custom sound fields, but NOGO! Does resedit record in the correct sound format for EV? What am I doing wrong?

Are you running any other plugins that might be altering the same id's that your plug is?

I don't know what format ResEdit records in, but the sounds must be 11 kHz, mono format, according to the EV Objects' Formulas. You might want to consider a shareware sound-editing program, such as SndSampler. That way, you can not only make sure the sound format is proper, but you can do some editing to make it better too. Hope this helps.

Thank you for your answers. The only plug in my plug-ins folder is mine. I will try and find Sndsampler.
Yes, I had to make sure the sampling rate was correct. SndSampler did the trick and allowed me to edit the sounds as well. The end result was good. Thank you for answering.
