If you want that PM one of the EVO mods.
I'm going to lock this for now purely as an experiment. My guess is the spammer(s) will just move to the next-most-recent topic on the board.
Unlocked - apparently it did indeed not get spammed. However, action has now been taken by the admins to hopefully curtail the spamming, so knock yourselves out.
Your lock Leno is disturbing.

so, i've read through most of this thread. i still can't tell what is fictional, and what isn't. anyway.
is there anyone interested in creating an open source game engine to mimic and extend the functionality of EVO? i'm willing, but not on my own. from what i can tell, the EV community is still active and full of excellent resources. ie model makers, story writers, coders, testers, gfx creators, etc. in general, a lot of creative people. as mentioned earlier, if we are able to coordinate, the sky's the limit.
so....
Except for rudy's posts about UB EVN, everything is fictional.
so, judging by the lack of response to my post plus the last 11 pages, it's either:
-everyone wants something, but no one's willing to help -noone really visits these forums any more, even though they obviously do -noone wants anything -cheese

I vote cheese.
I vote too!! Its fittingly easy and random!!! You dont have to think anything (any amount), you can just say, cheese!!!
I thought it was funny and it made me lol, so I wrote this post. And it also made me not want to to make a long, serious post at all!!!! (dont these !s get annoying? I somehow feel like a child making these exclamation marks... hehe.)
And thus closes the shortest post Cade ever has done. He usually makes very long posts, which at the DoI board sometimes are a pain to type even to himself.

Cheese!!!!
that was a kind of long post for voting for cheese.
cheese wins
I'd definitely support the cheese movement. Viva la cheese!
...please, let's just let this topic rest in peace.
And if you have to revive it, don't revive it for something so juvenile.
Stiffs. Absolutely no cheese spirit.
viva la cheese
i'm still working on an engine that can read EVO plugs among a variety of other data formats. i switched languages to objective-c using the cocoa framework. one of the cool features i am working on atm is AI defined by plists. this will allow you guys to create and modify ships AI to be more EV like, as i will probably only create a couple myself and apply them to all ships. i know a few TC developers have wanted to create their own custom AI's, so i thought this would be a nice feature.
i'm still looking for other games that have data files, that i can write plugins, for my engine to read. they can be top down(EV, c&c, warcraft, diablo, etc), side scrolling/platform(flashback, ferazel, prince of persia, etc) and probably other types. the sky is almost the limit, but please no 3D models, only sprite based. thankyou.

This thread was revealed to be a HOAX. It's left a bad taste in my mouth, and probably other people's mouths as well. Anything in this thread will be met with suspicion and doubt. Don't use this thread for any project you want people to take seriously.
If you took it that seriously, well, I'm sorry. Not all the people who were in on it knew it was a joke at first either.
