This came about from an arguement between my bro and I

Many a time I find myself arguing with one of my bros over trivial topics. The most recent of these was which ship is better: the UE Cruiser or the Igadzra Warship? Now...I realize all you guys probably know better ships than these. We think these are two of the best in the game. I want to get everyone's opinion on which one you think is better. Imagine that these are totally modified the way you would want them to be (without cheats or plugins).

And another question: What's the name of the group that rebels against the Voinians within their own space? Not the Emalgha, the other group. They use Voinian ships. I forget what they are called. A little help...?

As for me...

I haven't really played as any of the three strands (except for Zidagar), so the UE Cruiser kinda wins by default for me.

And the best ship in the game is the Enhanced Arada.

They each have their respective strengths and weaknesses, but, as far a the player's ship goes, I'd put my money on the UE Cruiser, if only for the sake of the additional expansion room. For escorts, I'd take the Igadzras (especially the beam ones!).

Qaanol is right in saying that the Enhanced Arada is the best (obtainable) ship in the game, at least for the player. For the escorts, however, I'd recommend a brace of Voinian Dreadnoughts; they can take a beating at dish it out all the same.

When I went through the game, I got a full compliment of UE Cruisers (without a plug mind you). I never bothered using a plug to get the Voinian Dreadnoughts. Never thought highly of the Arada as highly as you guys think of it. That's a new one on me. :hector_bird:

Er, its the ENHANCED Arada, Duke. Seen only in the last Azdgari mission, I believe. You got to abort the mission, diable it (not easy), and then capture it as your own. This applies to any "special" ship, such as the Nadir or the Voinian Dreadnought.

Also, the "Beam" Igadzras sometimes appear outside of the related Zidagar missions as përs ships; they're rare, but you can find them.

Igazra!

It's quicker, doesn't come with a non-removable (IIRC) annoying fighter bay, only takes 2 days per hyperspace jump (vs. 3). IMO it is the best ship in the game; I'm not a big fan of the smaller ones.

Quicker? Are you sure? It's a pretty dang slow ship while the UE Cruiser is faster than the UE Carrier.

My mistake...

But those are still tough ship to capture even if you abort the missions, correct? The Dreaddnought would be almost impossible I would imagine...

Well I have seen a përs Igazra with a crazy green wiggly beam (the I.S.S. Deception, I believe). I captured it, but the stats and extras were that of a normal Igazra, and the beam has disappeared. Will I get to keep the beam if I'm in the Zidigar string?

The weapon has no outfit so it disappears when you land. However, if you keep it as an escort the beam will stay. Very classy, though less effective than some other escorts.

Interesting thing though is that it only dissappears when you go to the outfits. So you could keep it if you plan to never buy another missile again.

When I captured a beam Igadzra, the very next thing I did was press "p" and the beam wasn't in the extras section, so my luck must be f'ed up
