Igadzra and Zidagar strings

At the same time?

Alright, so I heard it's possible to do the Igadzra and Zidagar strings together on one pilot without using a plug-in.
Can this be done on EVO 1.0.0?
And if so, how? As in, in what order do I go and recieve missions in order to do this?

To be sure, I'm talking about EVO 1.0.0 on the EVO engine, not a port, not 1.0.1 or 1.0.2.

I don't have 1.0.0 anymore so I can't be sure.

I know from experience in 1.0.2 how it works though. The Strand initial missions have time limits. You accept the first Igadzra mission from Kitrak then fly to Pozdag 3. Accept and complete the first Zidagar mission. Then complete the Igadzra mission.

The important thing is time, so be sure to have a ship under 100 tons. Also, don't land anywhere you don't have to. Use a fuel scoop. Furthermore, I can't remember precisely how much leeway you have, but I know the more escorts you have the more time it takes to land on a planet, and it takes time if you buy or sell in the outfitter or shipyard.

If you enter any places when you land (outfitter, trade centre etc) it takes an extra day. Instead of landing and taking off in one day it takes two. Yet if you enter the bar and the shipyard etc it stays at two days.

Regarding escorts you will jump as fast as your biggest/slowest escorts... (like in the world wars etc.) So the bigger your escorts the longer you'll take...

Why would you need escorts for either of these lines anyway?

EVO and EVN have different ways of calculating how much time passes per landing and per jump. I originally explained this here. A quick summary is as follows.

EVO 1.0.2
Landing
At least one day always passes on take-off. An extra day passes if you buy or sell anything in the outfitter. An extra day passes for every two escorts you have. An extra four days pass if you buy a new ship.

1 day + (1 day if outfitted) + (1 day if 2-3 escorts, 2 days if 4-5 escorts, 3 days if 6 escorts) + (4 if bought ship)

Jumping
The number of days that pass in a hyperjump depends solely on the mass of the player's ship. Escorts have no effect.

Nova 1.0.8 (when my tests were done)
Landing
Landing takes 1 day plus 1 day if you buy or sell any outfits, plus 4 days if you buy a ship. Escorts don't affect land-fall durations in Nova.

Jumping
A jump takes as long as it would take the heaviest ship in the player's fleet. I did not test whether mission-granted escorts affect jump times, but I suspect they do not.

Clarification
You can enter the shipyard or outfitter without extra time passing. It's only if you buy or sell anything when that happens. Escort size only affects jump-times in Nova. Escort number affects landing times in Override. The Commodity Exchange does not add time to a planet-fall.

Awesome, thanks for your help. 🙂

Are you sure about that? I'm sure they did last time I was paying attention.

Confirmed in 1.0.A. Escort number and size do not affect how long it takes to land in EVN.

I never knew that and I thought they'd keep it the same in all the versions (But EVO is by someone else so it'd make sense somethings changed).
