Question: does clicking "no" lock me out of the UE thread?

I picked up the defector and dropped off supplies to paaren station, but when I got the next offer I accidently clicked "no". Am I locked out or will the opportunity to continue reappear?

It should reappear eventually.

Welcome to the boards 🙂

You can't be locked out of a mission string once you've started one. If you can't seem to pickup the next mission, keep trying. Missions aren't set to be picked up 100% of the time. As Guy said, you will eventually get it.

Having the option to say "no" can be to your benefit. Say, if you realize you need more credits, or a bigger/faster ship or escorts for that specific mission, it allows you to go do what you need to do, then come back.

Oddly enough, I seem to remember saying no to one of the Strand missions, and it made that specific government mad at me. IIRC it was the Iggys.

Yeah, rejecting Igadzra missions often gets you a big record penalty. If I recall right it doesn't technically lock you out of the string (using bits), but generally due to your bad criminal record it takes a fair bit of work to get back to a standing where you CAN continue.

Thanks for confirming that it was the Igadzra. Now I remember killing a whole bunch of Azdgari to make them like me again.

Most storyline missions have penalties/drawbacks if you click no (just expanding on whats been said) it's not just the Strand missions...

@ Callide: the EVO Mission book thingy you converted for me lists all missions (obviously) but also the negative effects aswell (if any).

If anyone wants me to I can post all missions that have a negative response for saying no....

I didn't read it, but that's good to know. 🙂
