Mission Start?
Maybe I just stupid (Everyone: Yes you are!) but I can't find the UE Cruiser mission start. I have completed the Emalgha, Hinwar, Dreadnaught, and UE-Renegade, as well as a number of Strand strings, but I still can't find the start of this string. Any helpful hints in the right direction (such as what planet it is one)? I'm afraid I'm going crazy trying to find it  .
Have you tried New Taranto?
Lit Nerd
Yes. I've gone to pretty much every United Earth planet in search of the cruiser.
Keep looking in the New Taranto bar.
It's where the mission starts.
You also need the highest combat rating to get this mission.

The highest? Just 'Above Average' I think....
I've done it with less than Ultimate.
But, yeah, New Taranto bar * 100.
Land on New Rome between checks to cycle the missions.

Does that work? I thought you had to accept and abort a mission or leave the system to cycle them.... And the abort mission technique doesn't work on the Nova port.
My copy of Nova is currently plugged into a Centris, rendering it useless, but it works in Override.
As for how you managed to bring down the Dreadnought without the Cruiser, I have no idea.

The Dreadnought is weak. I've never played EVO for Nova, so I don't know how strong it is there, but in EVO the Dreadnought can easily be beaten by a shuttle with a couple blaze cannons and shield enhancers. Don't even need neutrons or dospect. It's exceedingly simple to Monty-Python the Dreadnought; the interceptors are more dangerous due to their speed. Anything that can outrun them is in no danger whatsoever.
