MODERATION: Esponer, come on... I know you're gonna research your shield enhancement sufficient time, it's just too strong. It's all agreeable, except for:
The graviton membrane is not so much a "layer" as it is a "region" around the ship. In this region, motion is disturbed. Mass weapons will be reduced to less than a 10th of their original speed as it passes through this small region. This could provide the ship some time to escape (the slower the projectile already was, the better that will work.) For mass weapons that rely entirely on their velocity for damage (railguns), this is able to almost completely nullify the damage. Specify how close or far the region is from the standard shields of the ship. Even though the Technology of the mechanism is feasible, it'll take a lot longer to develop it as you say. Low yield warheads are disrupted by the gravetic disruptions the membrane causes. Any warhead that deals less than 75 energy or mass damage (it doesn't matter which, take your largest figure) will be disabled by the membrane. Decide! Either the region takes damage and completely blocks the shields from energy, or it takes 50 energy damage off. I'll also allow it to lower (by detonating away from the shields) the damage done by strand energy secondaries, like SAD's, SAE's, and anything based on the same idea. Can't make it too good.
OOC: Sorry to just pop up like this, and sorry esponer, but I am a mod.(Im on a PC, and have no access to a map, bear with me.. please... CRIES PLEASE!!!) Oh, and I have written in months, this won't be my best. ALSO- If it's OK with UE Admiral, I'll delete this post, and I'll play as the Strandless and South Tip Renegades (since they're so small, I'll merge them.) If not, this post stands.
"What do you mean you don't have enough credits?!" A heavily tatooed Redchigh exclaims.. "Well when I hired you as an escort, I espected the price of medical goods to be higher than they are... my profits aren't what I expected..." Io stared down the meek human... He was telling the truth, the price of meds was down... "How much you got?" "Only 15." "15,000 credits? That's not even half of your offer! I came with you expecting 45! " "You know I couldn't help it, its not my fault! There's been an unexpected-" "I don't care! You owe me 45,000!" An uneasy silence settled between the trader and his escort.. "Fine. Give me 15,000, and your ship..." "But that's all I have!" "I'll give you a crescent fighter to get home in, give me money and the key-card." The small human hands over a small chip and a pile of credits.. Io counts it, pockets the card, and yells at the human "Get out of my sight. I'll be back later." Io stood up and walked across the bar, taking in the unique aroma of alcohol and blood that was the signature of bars in Human Renegade Space... "Give me your strongest liquor." Io knocked back the shot glass, and leaned back.
He woke up several hours later in an alley. He took a second, dusted himself off, and ran back to the bar. He lept over the bar and dove for the bartender, knocking him to the floor and putting his Boot to the bartender's chest. "What was in my drink?" the "I don't know." was barely audible as the boot beared down on his chest. "I don't have a problem with killing you. Tell me. If I don't get it from you I can figure it out." "Some little weak human bribed me to lace your drink.. Then he and a large man drug you out of the bar. I don't want any problems, I just have to run a business.." Io pulled his boot off his chest... then kicked him in the side, knocking the bartender a few feet. Io then realized the whole bar was staring at him. "The punk owed me money." The whole bar accepted this as fact and understood. There are no debts in a renegade bar.
Io reached for his card-key in his pocket to find the dock of the freightor... The Key's gone... and so's the cash.. The key to his personal lazira is even gone! "That ***** will die... " Io muttered, as he headed back to the bar counter. The bartender, in a quite submissive mood, offered Io a drink. "You drink it." The bartender then passed out from the mickey in the drink... "Figures." Io just left, as he just had an idea. He glances all of a sudden, and realizes the bar's almost empty. He runs outside, and there are flashing lights everywhere. "The renegades are under attack, I repeat, The renegades are under attack!"
Io shrugged, until he thought of the fact the renegade leader might be in need of an experianced warship pilot...
He walked to a transponder booth, and wrote a message to the leader...
Message to Human Renegade leader From- Street Transponder eh3lt59jwAs-Bin I'm a mercenary that's seen my share of battle.... I assure you, if you give me a chance to prove myself in battle, you won't be dissappointed. Reply by 8:00PM tonight, or I'll be gone. ~Just call me Io. End
"The captain is no doubt long gone by now..." Io mumbled as he made his way to a local sleeptower to wait for a response by the renegade leader...He quickly forgot his original idea..

Interesting to have the perspective of someone who most likely doesn't know that I'm a story moderator now too. For the record, I was planning to raise the time to 8 days when I was next online.
(quote)Specify how close or far the region is from the standard shields of the ship. Even though the Technology of the mechanism is feasible, it'll take a lot longer to develop it as you say.(/quote)
The normal shields mask the ship almost perfectly, a couple of nanometres (or millimetres, who knows or cares, it musts no difference) from the ship itself. The distance of the membrane varies on the ship. On the Crescent fighter, maybe around a metre. For larger ships, it's slightly larger, but no more than around ten metres. The only reason I added in this was for very slow projectiles, specifically any mines floating in the direction of the ship. The membrane would slow it down to a negligible speed, and under those circumstances, evasion may be possible. It's hardly the most useful of aspects - just thrown it to make sure people knew it was even physically possible.
(quote)Decide! Either the region takes damage and completely blocks the shields from energy, or it takes 50 energy damage off. I'll also allow it to lower (by detonating away from the shields) the damage done by strand energy secondaries, like SAD's, SAE's, and anything based on the same idea. Can't make it too good.(/quote)
The membrane is directly damaged by dispersal rockets. I don't believe that SADs detonate a distance from the shields, but if they do, then they also directly damage the membrane, rather than passing through it.
Here is what would happen to the following weapons against the graviton membrane:- Phase Cannon. Directly damages the membrane, as if it were shields (this goes for the neutron cannon and blaze cannon) Emalgha Cannon. As the velocity is slowed, it is somewhat less effective. Rocket. The velocity of the rocket is slowed. In this case, that wouldn't matter too much. Space Mine. The velocity of the space mine is slowed, almost stopped. Good chance of evading it. Dispersal rocket. Directly damages the membrane. Needle missile & pursuit missile. Warheads disabled by the gravetic disturbances. Cause some kinetic damage, not much.
Hence, you'll note it's main "speciality" uses are against light warheads and pure kinetic impact weapons, of which there is only one, belonging to a species on the other side of the galaxy whom I will never have any quarrel with, in all likelihood.

The technology needed to be explained more thoroughly, perhaps. It's rather funny to have a moderator revoke part of a moderator's post, though. : )
Also , as what goes around, comes around, Redchigh...
You cannot play the Strandless or South Tip renegades, for the rather simple reason that RMA and I have already annexed them completely.
Just a note about your post... you won't be able to get off Freeport alive. Fact. Even if you want to throw "experienced fighter pilot" in my face, I have several of my own characters in that fray... Lysaeun, Nhada, Jenra, Karatis, and Evhael (first three in fighters, Karatis in an Arada and Evhael in a Lazira.) My weapons are also significantly more powerful than your own, and RMA's missiles are considerably better than almost anyone else's (the Miranu's, perhaps?) 'strikes me, Red, that you just placed your character in a position where death is inevitable.

Himgro
The Igadzra arada fired the repulsor beam at the mine andthe beam hit the mine, giving it the impetus to move far across the system. The arada quickly sped after the mine, using a tractor beam with no trouble whatsoever to latch onto the mine and tow it back.
The Igadzra commander was satisfied. Once again he thanked the Miranu for their grace in giving him the beams. He then boarded his ship and the Igadzra departed from Himgro.
The Miranu would remember the Igadzran promise to leave them alone in the future.

Mira
Fourteen robed Miranu filed into the High Council meeting hall, accompanied by various aids and a final figure robed in pure black. The lead Miranu took their appropriate seats around the main conference table, and their black-robed companion took the podium. Smashing his fist onto the table, he spoke.
"Today marks the beginning of a new era! Today we remove the thorn from our western side!" shouted Zor Klef, Director of Miranu Fleet Intelligence. Second in command to Supreme Admiral Shek Sunrunner, he was present on Mira that day in the admiral's place since he was not needed at Fleet Headquarters until the battle of Hrekka was over. "We will march forth into battle with our Zachit comrades and a Zidagar task force for support. The fleets will now be positioned across our borders, and the fleet will be in constant contact with the Miranu High Council from this day forth. We will work side by side to better the lives of our people and create frontiers for them to explore. With these promises does the Fleet pledge its undying allegiance to the Miranu Star League and its leaders." Zor Klef bowed his head.
Applause thundered across the hall. Researcher Lelos Somm noticeably clapped loudest.
"Thank you Director Klef," acknowledged Trademaster Dah. "Now, let us address the matters of our current research and production schedule. High Councilor Somm, you have the floor."
The Researcher of Station Pybin nodded. "We have completed the designs for both the Zidagar missile arada and the Miranu Lightninghammer missiles. Trademaster Dah, if you would communicate to our Zidagar friends the plans for the arada?"
Corzun Dah keyed up his docuscribe and sent a message to the Zidagar.
(Transmission...encoding...(Encryption Level Zeta) To: Zidagar High Command, Zidagar, Zidagar System From: Miranu High Council, Mira, Mirava System Subject: Design
Enclosed is the missile arada design plans. Share them with no one. As soon as the renegade threat of Hrekka is finished, this contract will be complete and the only remaining threat will be the renegades of the Rock. The Miranu people thank you for your efforts on their behalf.
Sincerely, Trademaster Corzun Dah, leader of the Miranu Star League End Transmission)
"Thank you Trademaster," spoke Somm quickly. "The fleets will be refitted with Lightninghammers after the Hrekka battle. Since most of the pursuit missiles will be used there, we are wasting no resources in this effort. It will take approximately one galactic standard week to implement all the upgrades. Since we now have free resources to pursue other endeavors after completing the arada design, the Research Directorate wishes to put forth the proposal that the Miranu High Council authorize the construction of a new research facility of equal capability. We recommend that it be constructed deep below this very hall, embedded safely in Mira's crust and guarded by the standard research security methods, including the armor purchased from our UE allies. This facility will be complete, we estimate, in four weeks. Is this satisfactory to the High Council?" Lelos Somm stated this final question in such a manner to imply he expected no one to disagree with him. No High Councilor was inclined to do so. Somm was gaining more and more power these days, and besides, the proposal made sense. Fourteen green lights flickered on. Apparently High Councilor Neve Ashak's son, La'ernu Ashak, who served as his father's proxy while he was negotiating with the Conclave, saw reason as well.
"Excellent. The measure passes. Now, Director Zor Klef. Let us watch the battle of Hrekka unfold."
Aboard the M.S.L. Discoverer, flagship of the Miranu Defense Fleet
"The Admiral! Salute!"
One million Miranu snapped to attention in perfect unison. One million Miranu wore the blue and violet of the Star League. One million Miranu formed the well trained crew of the flagship of the Miranu Defense Fleet.
"Present," roared Supreme Admiral Shek Sunrunner, "arms!"
The snap of phase rifles filled the barracks. All the soldiers turned to face their leader in exact synchrony. The four vice admirals walked up to flank Sunrunner. He lifted his staff of command, slammed it onto the deck. A ferocious BOOM resonated across the deck. The Admiral turned to the navigator of the ship.
"Disengage hyperdrive on my mark. Nine, sixty-five, two, mark!"
The Miranu Defence Fleet burst out of hyperspace in the Hrekka System. Along their right flank was the Zidagar force, led by Commander Myrx. On the left were the Zacha, already arranging themselves into formation and chanting mercilessly across the comm units their war cries to strike fear into the hearts of the renegades. The Miranu formed themselves into a wall formation, an arrangement allowing them to concentrate all the fire of the Gunships and Carriers onto any target in front of them without hitting each other. The Sokar Carriers began launching fighters, utilizing the Quick-Drop fighter bay inherent in their design, and soon they hade each disembarked 8 Crescent Fighters, and shortly after that, another wave of 8 from each Carrier joined them. The 24 Sokars had soon flooded the Miranu side of the system with 384 Crescent Fighters; the fighters in turn rearranged themselves into 32 squadrons of 12. The 59 Miranu Gunships moved to cover the Fighters, and the Carriers began arming their pursuit missile launchers.
"Ensign, how many renegade vessels are in the system," asked Supreme Admiral Sunrunner with infuriating calm.
"Sir, there are 18 Crescent Warships, 14 Laziras, 44 renegade aradas, 35 Crescent Fighters, and," the ensign paused, "and 6 ships that appear to be heavy freighters. They could be any type of ship commander."
"Thank you Ensign. To all ships," said the admiral. "Fire a volley of SADs and pursuit missiles at the Heavy Freighter blasphemies. After they are eliminated, focus fire on the Aradas and Laziras. Order all Gunships and Crescent Fighters to engage all enemy ships, with the Crescent Warships as their primary target. Let's make this attack as quick as possible people!"
A mass of fire flowered from the Miranu lines. 177 SADs raced towards the renegades, who were just now becoming alert to this enemy fleet attacking them. The SADs were accompanied by 72 pursuit missiles. As the renegades started scrambling for a defense, the missiles slammed into their hulls, despite their attempts to take evasive action. All six of the NT Light Cruisers were instantly vaporized. Another volley followed, and another and another until 15 renegade aradas and 5 laziras. The renegades, better awake now from the jolt. Started launching fighters from their Crescent Warships as the Miranu fighter fleet and gunship force moved in bolstered by the Zidagar and Zachit forces.
The battle for Hrekka had begun.
(Miranu Losses): 3 Gunships 20 Crescent Fighters
(North Tip Renegade Losses): 6 NT Light Cruisers 15 Renegade Aradas 5 Laziras

Saga of the Guild: Chapter 19
The fourteen members of the Miranu High Council watched in awe as the renegades were routed by superior Miranu technology and numbers. Swarms of Crescent Fighters swamped a renegade warship, incinerating it in a sphere of expanding plasma. The Zachit fought like fanatics, supporting each other while weaving, moving, and otherwise tearing through enemy formations. Researcher Somm was most pleased with the outcome.
Suddenly, the message transmitter sprang to life in a roar of klaxons. Trademaster Corzun Dah activated it, and the secondary holographic display showed a distressed North Tip renegade bearing the insignia of a fleet commander. High Councilor Marig snarled as he recognized Disco, leader of the renegades who had for years pillaged his colony. High Councilor Zohh of Nadej curled his lips back in absolute hatred. The renegade spoke to the High Council, and all present listened carefully. Marig slammed a fist onto the table.
"Let us negotiate with this rabble. Let us draw up a treaty to end the era of the North Tip threat. I call upon the High Council to do justice to the crimes committed against our people by this band of militant outlaws." Zohh stood with him. They wanted to see the threat ended.
Trademaster Dah nodded. He tapped his left temple thoughtfully, then said, "Very well, we will await the arrival of the Supernova. When it is here we will"
A functionary suddenly burst into the meeting hall. "Trademaster Dah," he said with a curt bow. "A renegade ship responding to the IFF codes of Supernova has entered the system. The fleet is waiting for your signal to eliminate it."
"No, young councilworker. The renegades are here to cease hostilities. Open a direct channel to them. The High Council has something for them to sign."
(Transmission...encoding...(Encryption Level Alpha) To: Disco, captain of the Renegade vessel Supernova From: Miranu High Council Subject: Blood Truce
The Miranu shall pledge blood truce with you if you sign the following treaty. As we have shown to you our willingness to end renegade incursions into Miranu space, we believe you will understand our motives for annexing Hrekka. Your action in saving what soldiers you could was admirable. Now, please peruse the treaty.
Accord of Hrekka
We, the members of the Miranu Star League and the leaders of the Renegades of the North Tip, hereby pledge blood truce on the following guidelines. Should either party violate these guidelines, this agreement shall be nullified. Let our peoples forever live in peace.
Renegades may not discharge weapons in Miranu or Zachit space.
Renegades may not enter Miranu or Zachit space without explicit authorization.
Renegades will refrain from harming Miranu convoys.
Renegades recognize the sovereignty of the Zachit in the Hrekka system.
Miranu and Zachit do not bring force against the Renegades unless the above terms are violated.
May our past grievances be forgotten. End Transmission)
North Tip Station, Hrekka System
The renegades posted defending the renegade outpost had received Disco's message over their communicators and had stood down when the Zachit had docked. Although some casualties had been incurred on both sides, the Zachit and Miranu had accepted their surrender. Now, Researcher Lelos Somm was speaking to the entire population of North Tip Station, including the renegades.
"In accordance with the Miranu Convention, we will not slaughter your people," he said to the renegade base commander. "You will return to your base in the DSN-2131 system in your own ships. Now, leave this new addition to the Zachit dominion." The renegades filed out of the room, boarded their ships, and plotted courses for The Rock. Researcher Somm hoped to never see them again.
"Now, to business. The Miranu Star League suggests sovereignty of North Tip Station and the Hrekka System falls to the Zachit." This was followed by uproarious applause from the Miranu camp. Researcher Somm smiled. "This will allow our ventures in the Ji Nebula to be vigilantly guarded by the Zachit troops here at The Door. May this Zachit outpost serve as a bastion for peace and security in the galaxy from today forth!"
Researcher Somm exited the chamber some hours later after escaping from the crowds who were now swarming Supreme Admiral Sunrunner. He met up with Scientist Loeugith, and the two quickly boarded the NPD-equipped gunship code named The Lens. They sent an encrypted message to Corzun Dah, then launched into the Ji Nebula.
What they found there through the eyes of their Nebula Penetration Device creation was astounding.

Name: Io Redchigh Occupation: Inventor, Pilot, Explorer, Ambassador Qualifications: An Escort to valuable cargo for nearly 15 years, Io's been hired by traders of nearly every government in the Galaxy, and can speak 32 intergalactic languages fluently, including galactic standard. Now, he is offering his service as a Military strategist and Pilot to any government that makes the highest Bid...
Tra'jun smiled. This one had great potential. He left a reply in the mission computer promising this Io Redchigh that the Miranu High Council would be willing to see him in an ambassadorial position between the Miranu or the Voinians, or between the Conclave and the Miranu, or as a military tactician working directly with Supreme Admiral Sunrunner. Tra'jun added a postscript explaining how to contact him about whether Redchigh wanted more than this.
The Recruiter would wait for a response.

You made an excellent description of the mines, though;). Now, how many ships are in your fleet? Oh, and also, take a look at my lastest fleet stats: Ersatd Igazra:13 I. Arada:24 (just reminding you of my shipscount) ---------- **
OOC: Thanks for the compliment. I tried to describe it as best as I could, since the Zidagar aren't supposed to know what they are, and without knowing what it is actually supposed to look like it was a little difficult. Anyways, I'll try to post this as best as possible, keeping to what you said your ships would do. Your shipcount should have three aradas less, as I destroyed three. I started with 25zidaras and 15z.fighters, but I lost four fighters. (attack on Ersatd) 25zidaras 11z.fighters (50z.fighters in zidara ships) IC: Nivad panicked as most of his force's ships were locked in place, and as a swarm of what appeared to be large, stationary, high-yield explosives were sent towards them. Just before they clicked on Nivad shouted an idea into the radio set to his ships' radios, "All ships: Fire phased beamers at the igazras." Bright streams of yellow shot out from the hull of the purple ships, all headed for the igazras. The zidaras let the the ships out of the bays just after their was an audible clunking sound of metal on metal. The mines had attached to a few ships already. Then there was beeping coming from different spots of the ships where the mines attached themsleves. One zidara had positioned itself to take on as many of the dreaded mass of death, as death seemed inevitable. This effort payed off greatly, as it had about fifteen of them on its hull instead of dispersed among all the other ships. There was ringing in the ears of the crew members as the mines had started the process of draining the shields. The zidara only just let out its fighters, when large explosions erupted all along the ship. Each exploding mine set the other off in a chain reaction, when all the mines blew up an empty hull drifted slowly forwards. Nivad watched as the brave crew was destroyed by the mines. Then he almost jumped as he saw one of the igazras burst into flames. All around him other zidaras were doing the same thing while firing all their rockets at the igazras, and sending phased beam in the direction of the tractor beams. Nivad flew to where three other zidaras were, releasing a volley of rockets at the same target. He calculated the loss of both sides. They had lost four zidaras and ten z.fighters, while the others had lost two igazras and five i.aradas. He did not like this calculation, hoping it was incorrect. However, he knew that it wasn't as this was just basic arithmetic. He had an idea. They had to work together against each ship, and hope the losses would almost even out. "All fighters: head towards my ship and attack the nearest igazra, for it is weakening. We have fifty-one fighters including those on the zidaras' bays. Fire phased beamers and your cannons at all ships in groups of at least five if at all possible," Nivad barked his order out. He then left for the bay, as he was going to pilot one of the z.fighters. He blasted out and headed towards the igazra. There was ten other fighters there, as well as three zidaras. They were all firing at it, while many were savaged by the mines. Finally they destroyed the igazra and two of the i.aradas using their tractor beams on various ships. This wen on for some time, heavy loss taken to both sides. However, the losses were greater on the Zidagar side, as the mines were devastating the purple ships within minutes of attachment. Nivad once again figured the losses. They had lost five zidaras, with one heavily damaged, and fifteen z.fighters. The Igadzra had lost two igazras, and six i.aradas. While this was much better, he wished that the mines were not in the system. Or at least that the mines would be effective against the Igadzra as well. (Myrx is still in hyperspace) (Igadzra losses) -4 igazras -11 i.aradas (Zidagar losses) -9 zidaras -25 z.fighters(includes carried fighters, ten regular fighters destroyed) (ship construction) +10 zidaras +15 zidara mk.IIs +10 z.fighters +10 z.missile aradas (ship total) 499 zidaras 30 zidara mk.IIs 179 z.fighters 20 missile aradas

OOC: This is happening suring the battle.. sorry for the confusion..
Redchigh slowly came back to reality. His dreams were disturbing, his sleep uneasy. Unlike most people, He wope up instantly. That's what happens when you're an escort for 15 years through renegade space....
Io looked at the Mission Computer... Only one message.. The Miranu. Oh well, it's better than nothing, and although there'll be less of a chance to battle when working for such a peaceful government, the Miranu have never had a problem with money... The pay'll be good... But he had to make a stop...
Red left, and went to a local cred-bank. He withdrew some credits to buy a decent ship, but when he got to the spaceport, he learned of the war raging above... Io cursed...
Message to: Miranu From: Io I look forward to working with you, however I cannot leave the planet I'm on.. The Orbit is a warzone, and there's a very slim chance of escape, especially in these damn Kraits and Helians. I can probably wait it out, but I would greatly appreaciate your help in any way... End
Io cursed.. There's only one way he was getting off here... The Miranu couldn't get here in time... He hated asking his half-brother for help, but these were dire circumstances...
Message to: Hizdriar C/O Piaser **Re: Yes, Im asking for help. Im stuck on freeport. A little help here? The orbit is too hostile to take off. You owe me, remember? End
------------------------------------------------ Mone Piaser stared at the message... He hated doing this, but he Owed it to Io...
Message to: Esponer From: Leader of Hizdriar We've gotten along fairly well, and although I know you don't owe me any favors, my half-brother is stuck on freeport. He doesn't want to get involved in the fighting, and I'd greatly appreciate it if you'd allow his ship off the planet, or at least give him a ride here. I'll try to make it worth your while, even though I'm already in a great debt to you. End
Mone sat back, trying to decide if he really wants his brother to get off freeport... The message is sent anyway... But no one will see him mourning if Io doesn't make it.
OOC: edit-in later.
(- Source: Halls of the Conclave, Alpha Nexus, Vardamaught, Kayia; South Tip Conclave -) (- Recipient(s): Mone Piaser; Hizdriar -) (- Priority: 3 -)
Your message has been taken into account. We advise that your half-brother remain on the station. When we engage with the station's defences, providing your half-brother does not attempt to resist and remains in his own ship, will come to no harm.
(- end transmission -)
The message from Redchigh had been received by Tra'jun. He tapped his left temple, then asked the High Council to order Neve Ashak to bring it up with the South Tip Conclave. He wondered if the message would be received in time.
(-Transmission...encoding...(-Encryption Level Gamma-) To: Io Redchigh From: Miranu High Council Subject: Retrieval/Extraction
We will contact our emissary in Conclave space to see if they can do anything. With any luck, we can have you in Mirnau space in short order. -End Transmission)
Another message was also sent, this time to High Councilor Neve Ashak.
(-Transmission...encoding...(-Encryption Level Theta-) To: Neve Ashak From: Miranu High Council Subject: Mercenary Tactician
Negotiator, we have hired a strategist for the fleets. However, he is trapped on Freeport and reports difficulty in getting offworld during a battle. Please inform the Conclave leadership of this immediately and take whatever action you deem prudent. -End Transmission)
OOC: This'll be interesting, since Io doesn't have a ship right now..
Mone Piaser read the message from the miranu, and simply forwarded it to Io's Warship.
Mone then hesitated, before sending a message.. Message to: Voinian High Command From: Hizdriar We are interested in a trade alliance... reply if interested.. We don't have much to give, other than land on our planet.. but we know you'd like a base on our side of the galaxy. End --------
Io got the message from the Miranu, read it, and sat back, relaxing...
Saga of the Guild: Chapter 20
Voinian Space
Negotiator Zor pondered over the Voinian reply. He consulted with his entourage of aids and advisors for some time, then called for a docuscribe. He quickly composed a message to the Voinian Emperor, asking for a meeting with either himself or with one of his emissaries.
(Transmission...encoding(Encryption Level Alpha) To: Voinian Emperor, Voina, Voinia System, Voinian Empire From: Negotiator Zor, emissary of the Miranu Star League Subject: Trade Agreement
We are willing to open trade ties with your people, but will take to heart your peaceful nature for the moment and will not commit to military aid against either the Emalgha or the UE at this time. Our threat to the north is currently pacified. Could I meet with a Voinian of at least equal rank to discuss a treaty with you on Denlon? End Transmission)
The Negotiator waited eagerly for a response.
"This meeting of the Miranu High Council is now in session. As you are by now aware, High Councilor Somm is with his protegé Scientist Loeugith on an expedition into the heart of the Ji Nebula. We do not know what they will find. We hope to encounter new mysteries with which to further our understanding of the universe. As you also must now know, High Councilor Ashak is in the Deep South Tip negotiating with an emerging power known as the Conclave. He assures us that he is making progress with them, and that they are a species with which we should always stand with as allies. His reports alluded to great things for the Miranu Star League, but said that he would not be able to send us information regarding this until later on this week. Now...Somm will soon pull out of the Nebula to see the inauguration of Event Horizon and the workings of the new cloaking devices. He personally wishes to oversee their mounting on all our vessels. This meeting will resume when we receive word from High Councilors Lelos Somm and Neve Ashak."

OOC:No, my ships did not enter hyperspace yet. So, is there 15 Igazras and 18 I.Aradas leaving for Ersatd or what? Of course I won't. I doesn't seem fair to post again without letting you post.
IC: General Neb was in his office, wondering if Myrx had made there yet. If Nivad had defeated his enemies, or if he had been defeated. He started to watch old videos of previous Zidagar wins and losses. Each of the strands has their own advantage. The Azdgari had speed in numerous small fighters, the Igadzra had power in their large warships, but what did the Zidagar have? He pondered this for a moment. Their ships had decent speed, relatively large ships, and their phased beamers. What advantage was that? He watched more losses to see if they could be easily avoided next time. He then came across a new movie-the raid on Fluron. The Azdgari had caught them completely unaware, and undefended. The aftermath of the raid was devastating-industrial goods had been stolen, and many factories were demolished. He read up on the report, it seemed that they were mostly built again. This time they had it built with more defenses. They had made it 75% from before the raid. He decided to write up the fleet positions for a better defense against enemy threats. Voinian Empire The Miranu's request was expected and a room was already prepared on Riden Station. A message was sent instructing the Miranu vessel of the arrangments. (Message to Negotiator Zor) (From Voinian Emperor) (Re: Trade Agreement) Thank you. Good to hear that thorn was removed. You may meet with me on Riden Station. I have my reasons for avoiding Fridion(after all it is right close to the Emalgha border). If need be you may refuel at Denlon before taking the most direct route to the Riden system. A map will be provided by either the spaceport on Denlon or by any passing ship. (end) ---- Shortly after the reply to the Miranu was sent off a message from some unknown world that is apearanty near Miranu space. The Council looks it over and composes a responce. (Message to Hizdriar) (From Voinian Council) We are interested in a trade agreement. However, a base on your world would be out of the question. It is far too far for our people and vessels to travel. from what we can tell, you have plenty to trade. Maybe not in the form of goods or supplies, but in the form of technology you have plenty. What do you propose? (end) ---- The message from Zurg was intriging. Blaze weapons for the frigate design... (Message to Freeport) (From Vounian Council) (Encryption Lvl 3-1TCP) Very well. Send the designs for the blaze weaponry and we will then send you the designs. (end) ------ (b)Dogover** The UE fleet retreated and dispersed along the Southeastern border. The Voinian fleet with nothing but damage along the lines that the UE had recived returned to Empire space and made a break for Fridion along with an equally sized fleet that was gathering near Svass.

Message to: Voianians From: Hizdriar I have taken into account your ship's range, which is why I was offering you a shipyard.. I would pick up some of your engineers and materials, and bring you here to build.. but very well... What technology are you interested in? We could send you lazira and fighter shield generators for you to outfit on your ships or dispersal rocket designs (They work extremely well against shields).. We ask for anything you can offer... We would appreaciate any of the following:.. Armours Rocket turret systems A Pre-Built voinian cruiser without the fighter bay(leave it to us to find a way to get it here) A military alliance (A coordinated raid on outpost bakka, perhaps...)
