Second, how the hell are the renegades going to have access to "all the speed/armor/shield upgrades"? I mean, come on. The North Tip renegades don't have that technology, unless I missed something about them allying with both the Voinians AND the Azdgari. How else would one get Bronev or the shield generator? I suppose the 3 day research time is acceptable...considering how long I take to develop mine, but with this talk of all the upgrades, I think something fishy is on the table.
Whoever is moderating this, I believe this post needs to be addressed.

Sorry, but what I meant was the shield capacitators,(SP?) and the RCS, and all that stuff that we have access to. But I guess I'll change it to 4 days, because I will just buiild the Miranu thing.

OOC: I assume I am back on Zidagar, due to an encrypted message from Solel.
IC: Myrx's fleet landed on landing pad 12 on the military base on Zidagar. As he exited Eagles Wings Lieutenant Nivad walked up in a somewhat sad manner, but managed to salute smartly enough. "I suppose you will be resuming your position," said Nivad with a hint of gloom as his fun would end. "No, I still have things to do. So, good day Commander," Myrx said as he saluted Nivad, trying to build up his confindance. Nivad strode off, with an air of importance. Myrx received the hyperlink message and went off to reply.

I accept these terms. One thing about the weapon technology, we ask that you keep in secret. Except maybe giving to the Zachit, it must not reach the hands of the other strands. I will leave in one hour with what we have developed thus far and our scientists. I will bring my task force and have another leave tomorrow for Zachit, and another will leave for Querid for a possibility of surrounding the Renegades. If you find any of this to be to your disliking, please let me know.
May prosperity and good fortune look always upon the Miranu. Best Regards, Commander Myrx. -Hyperlink Message Terminate) Myrx returned to his crew and told of their new plans. Voinian Empire With the war with the earthlings going on, Voinian internal affairs suffered. The government being the way it is, appointing a new Emperor needed to be fast and painless. At the Voinians dismay that is not what came to pass. The Empire split in two between the Logistical and Warlike factions, a civil war broke out. Although the Warlike Faction had only one fleet's support it fought like (insert Voinian equivalent of bear here)s. After only a week... a long one at that, the Warrior Faction was snuffed out. The Logistical Faction prevailed and it's leader, ?Å™? took the emperor's thrown. ---- As the message from the Human Renegades came in it was ignored at first just as all others were. When ?Å™? came to power it was answered. ---- (Message to Human Pirates) (From Emperor ?Å™?) (unencrypted) The Empire has recived your message. We are unable to send a viable response as of yet. I regret to inform you that you must wait a day or two. (end) ---- (Message to United Earth) (From Voinian Empire) (Encryption Level 4-1TCP) The Voinian Empire has come under new managment haha. It's ruleing body, has declared a willingness to agree to a cease of hostilities. I apologise for our previous barbarism. You have no reason to trust us and we have no reason to trust you. Dispite the possiblity of a sneak attack on us by your forces, we will take the chance. We are not a patient bunch so reply with all due haste.

------------------ Insanity has its advantages
OOC: I'll include a note about encryption also. Any messages sent between governments I have had direct contact with (currently none) are sent with secure encryption. By secure, I mean that it won't be picked up. Period. Yes, one-time cipher pads are 100% secure, and I will use them, but only in the case that a particular message is expected (i.e. a battle report.) All military messages within my government are by one-time cipher pads, all political messages by rather secure standard encryption. Messages to governments I have not yet had direct contact with are unencrypted.
Some other varied notes about my posts: per realtime day, I cover about a week in story time. Which means that the attack on Histiri Station is due to occur on Wednesday, and my ships will be en route by the end of my Tuesday post. I doubt I'll post every day - I already haven't - but I will try to post whenever something related to me, or my research/production is completed.

Corzun Dah,
Please respond as immediately as possible. Our galactic map and long-range sensors determine that a passage to Akrayhek will be dangerous, perhaps impossible. We are unsure as to what lies north-west from our space (directly south from yours), but there may be an alien race blocking your path. Beyond that, the renegade system of Mavs still stands. The Strandless system of Hrinix, of which we are sure you have knowledge, would be an advisable stopping point for your ships before we can secure Histiri Station.
Forgive the hastiness, but we would not want for you to suffer losses against the renegades that you should not have to deal with. Our attack will commence now in seven days - hopefully, victory will be ours soon.
The Conclave thanks you for your offer of equipment to our government. It would be very much appreciated. We are forced to question, however, whether you are perhaps not too trusting - were the Conclave a mask for a renegade organisation, you could very easily be making a grave mistake in your willingness to help us. The Conclave does not mean to refuse your offer, but suggests that you take care in the future.
We hope that in the future, once the path between our civilisations is clear, we can forge a stronger relationship. For now, security as much as anything else demands restraint.
Regards, Governor Mathuin
(- end transmission -)
Mathuin sighed. So trusting... I almost feel guilty that we are not so, and that we are receiving such largess from them when we could - could, but won't - be unfaithful. He shook his head. "Dammit... how does such a society function? There has to be a line, for security."
"Perhaps," the other Kayan, who he had asked to his chambers earlier, replied. Kataon was an odd figure, always seeming quite unpredictable. Mathuin wasn't sure why he had asked Kataon here, to rant about the situation, when there were many who were much more empathic. "Or perhaps they have achieved a certain level that we cannot yet comprehend. Perhaps they are willing to take the risk." Or maybe I just think so, Mathuin mused.
"Willing to take the risk? Could they be desperate?"
"It hardly strikes me that they would be willing to help the Conclave so if they did not want anything in return. It is of no matter; we shall either fulfill their requests, or we will not. Either way, we will function," Kataon replied. "There lies no shame in refusing a price that you were not told of before the agreement was made."
Mathuin laughed. "Indeed. I still worry."
"You do not worry about the Miranu," Kataon guessed, his voice still as cool as ice. He leaned forward on his chair. "Do you now doubt your own words?"
Mathuin paled slightly, forcing himself further back in his chair. "No...it's just..."
"You took a risk. A greater one than the fleet will do. You risked being ignored by the Conclave, and inevitably, pushed out of the position as governor."
"My success here may only be a sign that when I am deposed, it will be worse," Mathuin predicted grimly.
Kataon smiled; the smile of someone who knows something, or thinks he does. "Some will become heroes, and some will not, Mathuin. As absurd as the possibility of success may seem, it is a greater chance than if you back out now, for then, it shall be zero."
The facility known as Deep Isle was a naval base far from sentient civilisation on the planet of Kayia. With the most advanced equipment and heaviest security of any base under the Conclave, Deep Isle served as the primary research and development facility for the planet. It was there, on one of the lower levels, far submerged by the ocean, that the report of the final beta run came in. A Kayan aerospace stratofighter - a downgraded Crescent fighter, incapable of spaceflight - had successfully flown directly through four of the planet's peri-sensors and long-range stellar sensors. The reports were perfect. While the heavily shielded stratofighter had suffered extensive but not critical damage from several phase batteries placed in precise positions, not even the peri-sensors had detected how damaged the ships were, nor had they been able to register anything but a shield grid, apparently floating. What the Conclave referred to as "peri-sensors" were incredibly sensitive pieces of equipment, more advanced than typical space sensors, but working only over a short range. The success of the design was undeniable.
It took only fifty minutes for the message to carry to the Conclave's forces in the Akrayhek system that the design was successful. Within 48 hours, all Conclave ships were recalled to Kayia, or modified on Bakoom, their shields re-calibrated to mimic the stratofighter's feat. Three days after that, fifty eight Crescent fighters and thirty four Aradas were in DSN-4611. Their secure sensor net relay ensured that they were all capable of identifying each other, of course, and the sensor net was utterly impossible to hack, or to disrupt with existing technology.
The fleet of ninety-two ships was commanded by four Conclave lieutenants; Nhada, Jenra, Azemir and Karatis, with Nhada as interim over-lieutenant. The battle was to be commanded from afar by Taikaenor, one of the members of the Conclave, general of the Conclave's fleet.
"Nhada here. My squadron is ready," Nhada murmured into his ship's computer, the message being rerouted to the other standing lieutenants.
"As is mine," Karatis replied promptly.
"Let us be on with this," Azemir responded.
"Only just ready, Nhada? You're losing your touch," Jenra joked. Azemir's sigh carried over the comm. link, and was met with a laugh from Karatis.
"Let's go, then," Nhada commanded, keeping his voice level. Without further ado, the Conclave fleet entered hyperspace in just under one hundred streaks of light. Their destination: Mavs.

Deep Isle (2) After a short conference of the Conclave, Taikaenor has been given the right to send instructions to Deep Isle directly, providing he forwards the notice to every Conclave member and appropriate departments. Quickly responding to his newfound power, Taikaenor drew out a far earlier concept, that he had originally formulated in his youth, and later expanded upon to make it more possible. Never one to give up on a good idea, Taikaenor sent the data to Deep Isle, and travelled there in person.
Photonic Weapons Project: The photonic weapons project is a multi-sided project, enhancing and upgrading various aspects of existing phase weaponry in a major modification, and using the results to develop new weapons platforms for the weaponry. The effects of this project are the construction of the following outfits:
• Photonic Light Blaster (Invigilator) - Invigilators are designed to maximise the capability of lighter vessels, where an Enforcer could not be installed. Only a quarter of the size of an Enforcer, they are actually more powerful, firing high-power pulses of light, but take some time to cool down between bursts. • Photonic Heavy Cannon (Enforcer) - weighing 12 tons, with a 90ş swivel and firing twin pulses of light at a reasonable rate of recharge, the Enforcer is a heavy, but effective weapon. Note that the pulses move at the same speed as phase (they're both light, after all.) • Photonic Battery (Slayer) - weighing 48 tons, and on a turreted platform, Slayers fire quad pulses of light at a faster rate of recharge than the Enforcer, dealing a very respectable amount of damage in a short time.
Internal Development Report With the completion of the box launcher, and the testing being carried out in fleet actions, work has turned towards a similar item for the dispersal rocket. Work is expected to be quicker on this item due to experience with the pursuit missile version. Projections show it weighing 15 tons and carrying 10 Rockets.

Groned L.N.S. Renekar Admiral Ilither looked at his tactical plot. All the renegades had insystems where 3 Crescent fighters and 2 Aradas. Easy meat for the battle fleet.
"Ilither to all Laziras, you are authorised to engage with box launchers."
Ilither watched the battle plot as the Laziras targetted the Renagade ships and opened fire. A swarm of 45 Pursuit missiles closed on the Renagade ships, slamming into them. With 5 missiles for each Crescent fighter, and 15 for each Arada, the Renagades didnt stand a chance. Even managing to evade some of the missiles made no difference, the volley being large enough to destroy them anyway.
"Ilither to all ships. Prepare to close on Groned. CF Alpha Wing is to go ahead and scan the planet for Renagade facilities.

Sol (ooc: yesterday)- Needle's ship, the only remaining Renegade, was disabled the rest of fleet Dark Hour had been destroyed after taking out 2 transports 3 shuttles and 1 UE fighter. Now the United Earth ships were closing in on him he dashed down the corridor which was littered with dead crew members. He arrived at his escape pod as a rocket explosion rocked the ship. The vessel quikly burst into flames. Calmly closing the pod doors Needle was about to activate the launch button when something caught his eye, light glinted off a chrome scoutship far across the system. It was the Dragon Claw , Zurg's ship. He had stared to long, the ship exploded in a brilliant flash of fire. The Dragon Claw flashed into hyperspace.
Freeport (ooc: today)- Zurg's ship flew into the docking bay, deployed landing gear, and touched down. He climbed out the cocpit and strode across the smooth metal floor and out the doors into a hallway. Suddenly he felt a gun barrel pressed against his neck. He turned his head and spotted 20 heavily armed men. "Don't move," said Proxima,"Now the time for my revenge has come. Down on your knees, beg for mercy." As he lowered himself to the ground he quickly knocked the gun from Proxima's hand and threw a small smoke grenade. He spun back into the hangar as two blaster shots echoed down the hall. Taking cover behind some crates he took aim with his blaze pistol at an assasin who had just entered the room. After 5 minutes all but 3 men and Proxima lay dead. Slowly the traitors crept behind Zurg and jumped at him he spun around and nailed 3 of them and blew up Proxima's gun. Proxima Presely fell to his knees and began to beg for mercy. "You have tried to kill me,"said Zurg," I thought you might. Ever since I took power I have viewed you as a threat. Now I will be rid of you." And with that a flash emitted from his gun and Proxima let out a scream before falling lifeless to the floor. Zurg called through his comlink for a clean up crew before exiting the hagar. He was greeted by 2D55 who briefed him on all that had happened while he was gone. He placed the datacards in a secret vault and reset the entry code.

The "source" of the message no longer exists, so you will not find it out. Also regarding some of the comments on this message. Do not assume that the Conclave is incapable of bluffing.
And do not expect to know who this message is from. You do not, Zurg. And as such, you are unable to respond directly... the only way you can respond is to send another indirect message, and as such this quadrant of the galaxy will hear all responses you make.

We find your transmission to be amusing, human. Our scanners determine you as renegade rabble, and you have confirmed the existence of an organised, civilised government. Existing data suggests that this government is situated to the north-west of your position.
Bear in mind that your pathetic semblance of an "empire" will not last. Be it not by our own hands should we choose to address your crimes, be it by the hands of the United Earth. You are advised, a message from one government to another, to stand down your military action against the U.E., effective immediately. Your pitiful attempts at forming an empire are as clear a demonstration of your own military capability as we need, even did we not already know of your naval forces.
You will find that this message is impossible to trace. Messages sent in the vicinity of nebulae need to be strengthened for a location to be detectable: this message was not. We do not mask our signal to hide from you, but rather to protect you, for it is our concern that you would as of yet attempt an attack against us, regardless of our own superior firepower and tactics.
Heed our advice, outlaw. If when we draw our attention to you more directly, and we find that you are continuing your crimes, we will have no choice but to see that justice is done.

Station Pybin
"I want the main conference room decorated according to database entry 1099473.297. We are expecting Zidagar researchers. They are to be accorded the same respect you would give to the Researcher himself!" barked Scientist Loeugith.
Engineers, Scientists, and Pilots alike scrambled hurriedly like a swarm of wasps to clean, polish, and generally decorate the silver-plated walls and ebony wood furniture of the Grand Meeting Chamber on Station Pybin. The Researcher had sent word that the Zidagar were coming to give the plans for a revolutionary weapon design, and he had also deigned to inform the Station workers that he himself would be arriving to accept the plans and weld the deal. Researcher Loeugith was taking no protocol chances whatsoever.
As priceless data consoles were replaced with ancient Zidagar artwork acquired over the years from the two species' fruitful trade agreements, light fixtures were adjusted to broadcast photons at the wavelength best suited to Zidagar vision. Whenever research data was to be exchanged, the preference of comfort was always given to the Miranu's ally, to show respect for their great research achievements.
"Attention! The Researcher!" called Scientist Loeugith.
All those present snapped to military-class attention and bowed their heads in respect to their brilliant leader. Lelos Somm gestured them to stop the ceremonies, which he had long believed to be unnecessary. However, he realized it took him longer to do so today, and came to the sudden conclusion that he now rather enjoyed the ceremony that came with his position as Researcher. Lelos Somm smiled.
"Are all preparations made for our fellow Zidagar researchers?" asked Somm quietly.
"Affirmative Researcher."
"Including the committee to steer the Zidagar project?"
"The Steering Committee is prepared and awaiting the arrival of the Zidagar."
"Excellent work. All Pilots who have worked on this preparation shall have the first hand at the controls of the Ra prototypes, and all Engineers present shall have the first shot at the controls of the experimental carriers. The scientists here shall discuss options for our next project at some later time," declared Researcher Lelos Somm. "Now, let's finish this up."
A deep rumble announced the arrival of the Zidagar Commander and his entourage of scientists.
"No Researcher," corrected Scientist Loeugith. "Let's start this up."

IC: As soon as the last ship of the Zidagar task force had landed, many Miranu came out to help unload all the equipment for researching. Obviously they were excited about the news of a possible high yield explosive. Myrx quickly found Lelos Somm, and gave the proper Miranu greeting. "Greetings to you Lelos Somm. I see you told your scientists of our research," Myrx grinned as he looked at how quickly everything was being unloaded. Lelos Somm led all the Zidagar to the Grand Meeting Chamber once all had unloaded from the ships. Gasps of delight erupted from the group of Zidagar as they saw old Zidagar artwork strewn across the walls. Many of the Zidagar had always had a fascination with artwork. Lelos Somm smiled, "I see you like the decorations." There were murmurs of agreement among the Zidagar. ------------- Nivad had been quite bored as he rarely had much to do. He had only made one command of any importance, build more ships. Their fleet was relatively small compared to the Azdgari's slightly larger fleet. Nivad had said "yes" or "no" to some obviously ridiculous questions. Though he was not entirely bored of his high rank. He got food that was actually edible and warm. He got to take showers regularly, and it wasn't the dirty, bacteria infested, public showers either. He took a walk around the barracks to stretch his legs, delighted as soldiers and even officers stopped to salute the Commander. He could barely help smiling from ear to ear, letting out only a small grin. Saga of the Guild: Chapter 9
In the deep recesses of the heavily armored core of Station Pybin, a hurried meeting was taking place between Researcher Lelos Somm and his inner circle of elite scientists. They were acting with the utmost efficiency so as to conclude their meeting before the Zidagar envoy arrived for the technology transaction. The Researcher began the meeting.
"This session of the Station Pybin Research Directorate Technology Steering Committee is now in session. Scientist Loeugith has informed me that we have completed the research on Singularity Warp Shielding. I have communicated with the trademaster, and as we speak he is instructing all members of the Engineering caste to disperse across the Star League and refit all our fleets with these new devices. Engineer Aenig has already assured me that we are fully capable of including these new shields in the Ra and Sokar vessels, and that such outfittings will not slow the completion nor the production of these grand additions to our fleets. I am open to suggestions as to new fields of research our efforts should be directed towards," finished the Researcher.
Scientist Shinosa Shei stood to her full height. Her eyes flickered from a cool shade of blue to a flaming one of lightning red, a sign among the Scientist caste that one was truly excited and earnest about what one was about to say next. All members of the Steering Committee gave her their full attention.
"Esteemed colleagues, the Star League is grand and beautiful, but we have something near us which remains a mystery. I propose we eliminate this uncertain variable from the equation. We must explore the Ji Nebula."
Roars of excitement filled the room. Even Researcher Lelos Somm was applauding this idea. Scientist Shei smiled in embarrassed pride. Eventually the commotion died down, and Researcher Somm gestured for her to continue.
"I propose the development of the Nebula Penetration Device. We must explore the Nebula. There are untold scientific wonders awaiting us within this spatial jewel. Let us devote our energies to prototyping an NPD at once!"
"All in favor of the Scientist's proposal," asked the Researcher somewhat urgently. Time was running low. All present pledged their full support to the NPD project. Researcher Lelos Somm was pleased.
"Let it be done then. All research is to be directed towards this end. Let us time it to coincide with the completion of the Engineers' project of refitting the fleet. Now," reminded the Researcher, "let us dine with our Zidagar colleagues."
The Steering Committee exited the room and entered a magnetotram headed for the docking bays. Lelos Somm exited the transit system, and warmly greeted Commander Myrx.

OOC: Oh no you won't. Just because time passes outside of the story dosn't mean it does so inside of it. You would do well to delete that post right now because it is breaking the most basic rule of webstory battles... nobody posts twice in a row. Delete that post, let me make a reply to your first post and then bring your reinforcments in. That's all I have wanted from the begining. UE Admiral, if the rules of this story allow people not only to ignore hyperspace travel time, but also cheap-shot their opponents before they reply I will seriously consider leaving you without an Azdgari player. I don't want to do this as I am really looking forward to the rest of the story, but geeeze this is the first battle and already there are huge flaws in the rule structure of the game.
Now, I am going to make a reply starting right before Grundy said he brought in his reinforcments in his first battle post. The events I describe will consist of about one IC week, this should be plenty of IC time for the Igadzra to mount a counter-attack to retake the system. Which by the way is about what would happen in EV:O should something like this occur. The isolated outpost would fall initaily, then the Igadzra would take the time to mount a carfully planned counter-offensive.
----------------
As the Igadzra formation closed to turret range with the Azdgari Fleet, Commodore Nerus Bal'Heron was calmly giving orders to his other fleet Captains. The Igadzrans had fout tenaciously, and had inflicted horendous damage for their small numbers, but their time was coming to an end. All five remaining Igadzran Aradas took up a defensive position around the last remaining Igazra, and continued to fire SAE modules at the Azdgari ships.
The Azdgari, tired of letting their enemies call the shots, swarmed towards the pitiful Igadzran formation. While the Azdaras flashed in and out of weapons range taking pot shots and distracting the enemy ships, the Azdgari Aradas fanned out and prepared to strike. Moving with lightning quickness the Aradas flashed towards the tight Igadzran formation and launched a huge volley of 30 dispersal rockets. With the Igadzrans in such tight formation they had little room to manuver and almost all of the rockets hit, doing massive splash damage to all the ships. Only the massive Igazra survived this hellish onslaught, but it was badly damaged and could not sruvive when the rest of the over 100 Azdaras moved in to finish it off.
This was actually a very unusual strategy for the Azdaras, normaly the nimble little fighters would break up into groups of three and swarm the smaller Igadzrans, usually about two wing groups to each Arada, and three or four to an Igazra. Azdgari Aradas and Warships would usually support them by helping take out the larger ships, with rockets, or just plain slugging it out. The Azdgari like to fight up close and personal when it comes to the Igadzra, and will almost always use their superior speed and manuverability to get there as fast as possible.
Azdgari Fleet Status 8 Azdgari Warships (carrying 48 Azdaras) 28 Azdgari Aradas 54 Azdaras
--------- Six Hours Later
The capture of Station Raelion was accomplished quickly and effeiciently by the Azdgari Commandos offloaded by several Aradas. After only a few short hours the Commodore himself was touring the station. While the staion commander had done a good job of destroying any classified information, as well as managing to escape with most of his staff, the Azdgari had managed to stop them from destroying the outfitting facilities. Even as Commodore Bal'Heron stared up at the massive power core of the station, the Azdgari Fleet was being repaired and rearmed.
Nerus could not help but think, as he walked Station Raelion, that it was a shame that he would have to see it go so soon. The Igadzran defenders had done too much damage to his fleet for him to expect to hold this system through an enemy counter-attack, retreat was his only option. Fliping open his personal communicator, he contacted his second in command. "I think we are going to have to retreat when the Igadzrans come to retake this system, once we are done with our repairs I want you to evacuate all our personel and ready the station for Beta Directive."
Once he was back aboard his flagship, Nerus began too plan for the inevitable retreat from Mordus. The Azdgari Warships would obviously be the hadest to get out of the system, so they would need to be right near the inner edge of the jump zone. As many of the Azdaras as possible (48) would be loaded onto the Warships, while the remainder (54) provided the rearguard. The 30 remaning Azdgari Aradas could easilly retreat and cover the rear at the same time with their rear swivel Phase Cannons.

Saga of the Guild: Chapter 10
The Zidagar and Miranu filed into the Grand Meeting Chamber and took their appropriate places at the conference table according to Zidagar protocol customs. Researcher Lelos Somm, as host, began the negotiations.
"Let's initiate the transaction," declared the Researcher. It was the customary Miranu introduction to any agreement, in homage to their merchant nature. "You have brought to the bargaining table the blueprints for a powerful weapon which we desire. We have brought, in the hopes of exchanging it for the aforementioned plans, the offer to design a starship for you, with our own Engineers and Scientists. We are fully prepared to design for you what we have dubbed the Zidagar Missile Arada. It will be equipped with 2 pursuit missile launchers with a magazine of 15 missiles, and will also have 3 phase cannons hardwired to its main reactor. It will take time to work out all the details of this ship, and thus a while before we can have the prototype ready, but the Miranu assure the highest quality in all our products. Are these terms acceptable to you?"
The Miranu leaned forward eagerly.
Mira
"The chair recognizes High Councilor Imir of Blaga."
"Members of the Miranu High Council, we are entering a new age. Researcher Lelos Somm has begun work on a project that will allow us to explore, map, and perhaps even settle the Ji Nebula. The Trading Directorate of Blaga demands full support to be given to this project immediately. This is a turning point in our species' history."
The High Council nodded in contemplative assent, and most present were silently tapping their forefingers upon their temples, indicating deep thought. Finally, Trademaster Corzun Dah authorized a vote. Fourteen green lights flickered on. Researcher Somm's vote had been entered by default, as it was his project.
"The measure passes. I will instruct Exploratory Control to take proper measures."
"Thank you Trademaster."
Outskirts of Miranu Space
On the far reaches of Miranu space, near the borders of the Star League, scout couriers mapped out star systems around the Ji Nebula in preparation for the grand exploration the completion of the NPD would herald. The ships did not enter even the outermost rims of the cloud of space dust, as the sensor interference was too high for the onboard scanning equipment to handle. Their mission was only to map out the space near and around the Ji Nebula and make inferences regarding the best possible approaches into the heart of this field of mystery. After charting the systems, the couriers returned to their posts in Miranu space, and beamed transmissions holding their reports towards the Priat system and Station Pybin.
They had been tasked with charting pathways into the darkness of the sensor-baffling Ji Nebula. The Miranu High Council had deemed it to be of the highest importance, as it expedited a great scientific project that would soon begin. Most of the Miranu scientific community was counting on the results of the scout couriersÂ’ findings, and the captains of these vessels took it as a matter of personal honor not to fail them. Such would not do; it would slow down progress and halt the great scientific breakthroughs that characterized their people. The way the couriers saw it, if they could help quicken the greatest scientific breakthrough of their time, why should they shirk their duties as Miranu citizens?
The scouting expeditions continued. Much space surrounding the nebula was charted and analyzed for usefulness and for feasibility as an access route. Over the course of many missions, the minds at Station Pybin highlighted certain systems as the highest priority for anyone venturing into the Ji Nebula with the future device. A plan took shape in the heart of the station, and enough information was assembled as pieced together that all that remained for the project to begin was for the Nebula Penetration Device to be finished.
Voinian Empire With the aging military of the empire, and the UE's rapid rate of technological advance, the navy would soon be matched. This marked the time for some Voinian development of it's own. The work on a new warship has already been underway, and was nearing completion but needed something... The new vessel already outclassed anything the humans had in every way but one, shielding. There was a spy in UE space doing what could be done to steal UE shield technology, but is going to take a few days if it is to be successful. ---- Empire R &D; The Dreadnought prototype is going through it's paces in the Isled system. Tests of the launch bay for intercepters is underway. The hull was 3 times as thick as a cruiser's, but it's shields were not at all anything special as far as human shields go. ---- A repete message is sent to the UE government... (Message to United Earth) (From Emperor of Voinian Empire) (Level 4 Encryption-1TCP) The Voinian Empire has come under new managment haha.
Voinian R&D;: Dreadnought Project; 4 Days to completion Dreadnought Project includes all advances required for it(e.g. enhanced neutron turrets, Intercepter bay etc.) No further description required as we have all fought the dreadnought. Voinian Shipyards: +10 Cruisers +20 Frigates +7 HVY Fighters +5 Intercepters +2 Supply Ships Notes: I am keeping track of my shipcount in simpletext. I suggest you all do the same. I am considering 2 ways of ship building limit, they will be addressed in New Life.
