Buying Needle Jammer

Disclaimer: I did use the search feature, and didn't find the answer to my question.

I have completed the needle jammer and the cloaking device missions and I want to use a different ship now. Is there anyway to buy a needle jammer so it can be outfitted on my new ship? I know I will probably have to cheat, but thats okay. I downloaded a plug-in called "Outfit Mods", I think, that will let me keep the cloaking device. Is there anyway to make some planets sell the needle jammers? Perhaps on a renegade planet?

Needle Jammers are, as I recall, purchasable from most UE Outfitters. I don't know if UE Frontier Outfitters sell them. I can recall buying one for a UE Cruiser, and I think I got it on Knox. It's been a while since I've played a lot of EVO, since Nova came out.... 🙂

Could it be both on fire and a software problem?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I saw it too. About 99.47182.3685% sure, to be exact. I could be wrong...

I went to Knox to look since that's where you get it originally and I am pretty sure it wasn't there. I'll go back and take another look...I'll also look in other UE Outfit shops.

There's a second decimal point after five places?!

No-one told me this!

I thought there was an outfit... try Iothe if you can't find anything in UE outfitters. I'd check it out myself, and/or make you a plug-in to do it, but I've since upgraded to OS X, and I just came out of OS 9 about five minutes ago. : )

Am I posting in Just Chat or B&B;? If so, I'm probably joking.

sigh
I was hoping you would overlook his folly, Sylver. 🙂

I believe it is Iothe where the Needle Jammer is purchasable.

The needle jammer is readily available around UE space after doing the missions for it. It weighs nothing, and from memory costs 50000 credits. I really need to get back into EVO.. can't wait for the ability to play it on EVN - good thing I've got system 7 under emulation :).

Basilisk II. I've had it set up for a while now, thanks to our fellow forumer (although not lately) WarBeast. He had a page with everything you need to get going with it.. don't know the address though.. not even sure if it's still up. I did a little search for his topics after seeing the recent threads about emulation, but couldn't find the link. EVO runs reasonably well on it, on my PIII 450MHz, but nothing like how it does on my iBook.. I'm even thinking of reinstalling OS 9 so I can play EVO as it was meant to be played :).

Good old WarBeast...what happened to him?

You know where I could fnd a system 7 emulator for the mac?

Hmm not sure what happened to him.. busy with other stuff I guess, maybe even playing every EVO plugin ever after all that effort to set up an emulator.. but I doubt that :).

Not sure how to emulate system 7 on a mac. It would be quite cool to see it running with the speed of machines today though. Got an LCIII here and it was on that that I first played EV / EVO. I mean we're talking 8MB RAM and 5 minutes to start up EVO, but man was it worth it!

OK, although it's theoretically possible (and maybe someone has actually DONE it), that's just crazy talk, especially since I have two LC's and one LC575 that can run 7.x 😄 FOR SALE. Come on people, bargains for priceless computing history here!

Or maybe not :S
