Could someone please tell me where a halfway decent and fast ship is in EVO. I dieing to conquer the voinians!
------------------
Although I am sure this question has been answered before, I will answer this one myself. There are many good ships available for purchase as soon as you begin the game of EV:Override: the Crescent Warship is purchasable across many planets in the Crescent (I know you can get one on Mira); the Freight Courier is a good ship, although it might be hard to capture Voinia with one. Laziras are purchasable in the same areas as the Crescent Warship.
However, to get the really good ships, you have to do missions for governments. If you work for the UE, you can get the Destroyer, Carrier, or Cruiser (if you work hard enough), or, if you get the Dreadnaught mission, you can try to capture it, although your odds are quite slim; if you work with the Igadzra you can get the Igazra, an exceedingly powerful Strand warship; the Azdgari offer the Azdara, a fighter with unbelievable shield recharge rate that can conquer the galaxy on its own; the Miranu and Zachit build the Miranu Gunship; the Zidagar have the Zidara with its powerful phased beams; you can even work for the Voinians and get a Frigate or a Cruiser.
I hope this helps clear up your question.
Regards, Solel

The strongest ship on the game is the voinian cruiser. I am not sure if you would have to restart or not. If you do it is well worth it.
Take an Arada anywhere in the Crescent space ie. to the north of the Voinian-UE space. Or the Crescent fighter. They are great. Remember to hunt human renegades or Voinians to get your combat rating higher and gain experience.
Enjoy

I've found the Arada to be, perhaps, my favorite ship of the game; it's very adaptable, allowing you to ferry passengers and cargo and/or load it up with weaponry; plus, it's a fairly agile vessel. At 1 million credits, it's difficult to beat.
If you've got more than a few million to burn, you can move up to other ships, and you have quite a selection of good vessels. Keep in mind Crescent vessels will tend to be better overall than human ships, with better shielding and weaponry, though at higher cost. Of course, you can always soup things up; Crescent weapons tend to be geared more towards dealing damage to shields, and that creates a minor problem when fighting Voinians. However, I still use them because of their long range, and you have to be patient. Still, it's up to you -- others have had success in Voinian and Human ships...whatever ship you prefer would be ideal; I guess you just have to find one that fits your tastes.

I agree that the Cresent Warships are the best. And to help conquer the Voinians as you said, equip a few of the Emalgha's guns on your ship. They are deadly against Voinian armor.
And use the search feature next time. Or else I'll tell everyone why your nickname is Lycos and also your real name Unless you use it Heh, heh Just kidding.
