OOC: i beg to differ. lookat the battle of Voinia. --- the SFs continued their way into old confed space. they passed through the Duram system looking for bases to the Acarra. as one group went up toward the galactic northwest they found an Acarra base on Kelmaon. they relayed the info that they had collected to Pax and hypered out of the system looking for more bases(heading to Guradhion and southward).

Half of the fleet(all MVAG's) hypered towards the planet, and the other half stayed where they were. As soon as they exited hyperspace, the MVAG's opened fire on the Accara. From the other side, the Miranu forces charged in, firing of missiles and torpedoes. The factory ships had stayed back, along with the Harmzuay. The factory ships made Heavy Fighters with anti-matter warheads on them. These ships immediately left the factory shipss, and headed for the nearest Captitol ships. Paladin BattleFrigates were the preferred target of choice. Many were taken out in this manner.
Paul sat on the bridge of the Harmzuay , and took a sip of a drink that had been traded between the Coalition and Miranu. The Humans called this strange drink 'Coffee', and it was the only thing keeping him awake. The facilities of the Harmzuay were consistently full, as ships came in to refeul, recharge their shields, and restock their weapons. The hard use these ships were getting was starting to show, as several captains reported severe shaking when exiting or entering hyperspace. The crews themselves weren't much better. Several had just plain fallen asleep at their posts during the fight, and others had simply fallen unconscious in the hallways. THe fighter pilots seemed unaffected though. The sheer mass of their ego was what kept them going(who would respect a fighter pilot who fell alseep in a dogfight?).
The Accara where surprised at first, but before on could say "Long Live Mira!", the Accara had turned and started attacking this new group of defenders. THe battle was going quickly, but would be as deadly or more than the Battle of Mirava. As the Miranu forces continued to pound away at the Accaran forces, they took few losses. Most ships were simply able to get repaired onboard the Harmzuay. Actually, I probably won't even bother. Those type of ship limits are just begging to be screwed with, and it's huge / crude. No, it's not SH. SH is Carno's story. Esponer's story has yet to be named, but we've discussed a few things already on AIM.
If Carno tries a scripted story(as opposed to just playin as we did in the begining) or God Mod stuff, I am going to try and get the veterans to drop out with me. Leave him with a bunch of inexperienced players and lots of empty slots.
Bendon, are you a mod? When was the last time you tried? Also, I do not agree with scripted stories, but stories with no end point whatsoever... it would be too hard for the mods to handle.

Benden; SH will have a little bit of a planned plot, but mostly it's just open. The planned stuff goes into effect later on in the story. EH will have no planning at all (well, a little planned stuff like the introduction of the Zephyr, Rage Gunboat, etc., but nothing major, only stuff that's in EVN).
-------------------
Battle of Voinia
The last Acarra ships fought to the last, but eventually, they all fell under the incredible firepower of the other races. As the last ship was destroyed, the Coalition now began to look at the damage done.
Both stations in Voinia had been destroyed, with Voinia itself in utter devastation. In the Battles of Sol and Voinia, the Coalition had lost over half its navy, leaving behind a mere 15%. But, they had won.
Battle of Azdgari
There was now only one last thing to do.
Destroy the Azdgari.
The assault would begin in the Azdgari system. The Acarra had somewhere around 900 ships, among them 250 Paladin Battlefrigates, as well as 4 command ships. And leading them was the greatest of the Acarran generals; Lythrawn.
Without warning, the huge Acarran armada slipstreamed into the system. Without a bit of delay they launched all the missiles and torpedoes they had. The Dark Angel ships in the system were, more or less, wiped off the face of the universe in seconds.
The Acarra then charged what survived of the Dark Angel fleet, continuing to pummel them with everything the Acarrans had. The opposing fleet, however, had taken up a defensive position in and around the moons of Azdgari, and they would be hard to wipe out.
The Acarra charge was halted as Lythrawn considered how best to proceed. He finally made up his mind. Two portions of the fleet broke off and headed out to the sides, and then all three groups fired a huge amount of Warp Disruptor Torpedoes in a wave. The Dark Angel ships were not harmless, at least for a short moment. All three groups charged in from multiple vectors, tearing through their opponent before they could retaliate and regain the use of their weapons.
Soon, the majority of the Dark Angel fleet was wiped out, and the Acarra settled into their own defensive position in and around the moons, their ships ready. Because of the proximity to the Paladin Battlefrigates, missiles wouldn't work as well not only on the frigates, but on all the other nearby ships as well. As Acarran troops began to land, Lythrawn divided up his fleet into three sections of 300 ships each, and positioned the other two far off to the sides, so that when an enemy entered the system, they would be pounced upon by the groups.

OOC: Carno, the moons of Azdgari were wasted to the point where no living thing survives by Benden's SW's, if i remember correctly. Azdgari military HQ is in Meagh anyway. So, you just sent a crapload of ships into a bleak, uninhabited system, with maybe the occasional DA mining ship. Fall from grace, one might call it.
And mamajama, if it makes you feel any better, I'm co-moderating EH, along with asriel and Luke.
A massive freighter lumbered through the atmosphere of Tumni. It had only a skeleton crew, but was equipped with a top-of-the-notch Zidagar hyperdrive, slug claw armor, and heavily upgraded shields. However, it was far from a freighter-gone-warship; it was simply carrying an extremely valuable cargo.
As it cleared Zidagar's gravity well, it entered hyperspace, directly from Zidagar to Namot, and then Namot to Fluron. It was refuelled on Fluron, and would later set out for the final leg of it's journey.
Espilot had been amazed at the will of his own men to sacrifice their lives, first at the battle, and now. He wondered, how could a handful of his pilots and crewmen, truly be worth billions from another race? Putting these thoughts aside, he set out to the shipyard wherein the Quetzalcoatl was stationed. Three orbital shipyards had been constructed, for the sole purpose of building and crewing ships. The numbers of the Zidagar fleet had been recreated, and there were now full patrols in every system, as well as powerful defense fleets for even the most remote outposts, such as Pozdag-3 and Vastan IV. He opened up a comm channel with Commodore Serryc, the head of his black-ops crew. "Commodore, this is the Admiral." The voice that replied was menacing, and sibilant, like the hiss of a snake, but the speech was somewhat stunted; "Greetings, Admiral. It has been long time since you contact Serryc, yah. What is you orders?" "I am giving you command of two-hundred and fifty Zidagras. Use them and your own forces, and go to the Meagh system. However, do not exit hyperspace in Meagh; I want you to hover, and destroy as many Acarra vessels as you can with only anti-matter missiles. I want no suicide attacks. The Azdgari will know they have our military support. Understood, Commodore?" "Yarr, is cakewalk for Serryc! I see you after battle!"
The Basilisk King , Serryc's modified Trebuchet, as well as one hundred Zidagras modified specially for heavy long-range combat and long missions into unknown space, and the two hundred-fifty ships given to Serryc by Espilot, entered hyperspace on their way to Meagh.
On Tumni, research had been going well. Anti-matter weapons had been thoroughly figured out, and were now in final testing stages. However, things did not bode so well for researchers on the Paladin Battlefrigate; when one had tried to enter the ship, it simply exploded, killing the researcher and injuring several others. Scientists working on the Enforcer, however, were sidetracked by what they labelled as 'a truly amazing find': Slipstream engines. Recreating this technology was under heavy research. The new Pike gunship was going well; the basic idea for it had first been laid out, and it's overall design was coming smoothly.
The anti-matter weapons research had undergone a radical change; a new idea, that clumps of anti-matter, with their own containment fields, could be accelerated down a barrel and do catastrophic damage to armor. The energy beam weapons would be most effective against shields, so a combination of the two would make for a very deadly ship. ---- Anti-matter Weaponry-1 Post Slipstream Research-7 Posts Pike Gunship-4 Posts

OOC: ESPilot, mind explaining just a little more on that Pike Gunship and Slipstream thing of yours?
--------------
The Acarra, realizing that nobody was really in Azdgari, moved out towards their next target.
With Toi and Azdgari now wasted and destroyed, the Acarra slipstreamed into Meagh and opened fire in another hellish barrage. As the Azdgari reeled, the Acarra began to close in and fired another huge wave of Warp Disruptor Torpedoes. Almost all of the Azdgari ships were hit and made harmless, and the Acarra charged, annihilating the ones who hadn't been hit first, then consontrating on the others.
The Azdgari fleet was now suffering heavily against the Acarran fleet as it plowed forward, but even then, Lythrawn knew that the Dark Angels and Azdgari would send fleets to combat him...

They quickly Storm the Acarra, sending them into dissarray, then concentrating on Paladins, incinerating Several, not to say however, that the Azdgari weren't dropping like flies... Come to think of it, I don't really need slipstream engines. My hyperdrives are good enough as is. Although, I could use normal slipstream for something, such as mining the slipstream in vital Acarra jumplinks. And as for the Pike, well, you'll find out when it's finished. I like being enigmatic.
As the battle in Meagh raged on, Commodore Serryc's forces of three hundred-fifty ships entered the system, but stayed in hyperspace. "All craft, launch missiles at Acarra!!" The barrage of anti-matter missiles appearing from hyperspacing inside Acarra ships took the Acarra by surprise, as the Azdgari had no such technology. "Yarr! Feel da might of da Zidagar, Acarra fools! Ships concentrate on Command Ship! Blow it to pieces from inside!" Serryc shouted. Missiles were popping out of hyperspace inside Lythrawn's command ship at a prodigious rate, as well as it's escort of Wolf Starcruisers. And still, the battle raged.
The lonely bulk freighter made it's way into DSN-628, just north of Muid. It was now entering the far more difficult part of it's journey. It entered hyperspace, cutting straight across, to the Warpgate 01 system.
"Unknown freighter exiting from hyperspace, sir!" an officer said to the Praetor. "Blow it out of the sky. We can't take chances!"
A pack of Wolfs and Enforcers sped towards the freighter, firing their powerful torpedoes from long range. But the freighter had already initiated hyperspace, and was at shields down by the time it fully entered, heading towards Ancara. The freighter did not stop at the edge of the system once it made it to Ancara, but plowed straight through hyperspace. It's mission was almost complete; Accara scans picked up a massive amount of anti-matter, travelling through the system. It was what the freighter's cargo bays were full of. The massive freighter extied hyperspace, inside the Acarra homeworld, with it's precious cargo of anti-matter. ---- Anti-Matter Weapons-Complete Slipstream Research-6 Pike Gunship-3 Posts

Battle of Meagh
The Acarra continued to pummel the Azdgari, but also consontrated a lot of their fire on the Zidagar. The Acarra could also sense where the Zidagar were and turned their psionic powers against them, turning hundreds of Zidagar into nothing but twitching vegetables. Those who weren't paralyzed were gripped with incredible pains. One Zidagar was even mind controlled and destroyed his own ship.
