Battle of Voinia
Paladin Battlefrigates flew through the battle, oblivious to all but their targets. They moved from ship to ship, tearing them apart (most of the times literally) with their Navair Lances. Most missiles are unable to hit them because of its stealth armor, and most warships are unable to ram them because of its speed and maneuverability.
Station 5569 was also coming under heavy weapons fire. Several Wolf Starcruisers moved towards it, supported by a wing of Paladin battlefrigates. Tearing through its shields and armor, the station rapidly weakened and finally detonated, sending wreckage into all but the Acarra, who were fast enough to avoid the debris.
Now Borb Station was being attacked heavily. It called for fighter assistence, but none came; there was already hundreds of fighters moving through the system, hitting the Coalition incredibly hard.
But though the Acarra were doing well, they still were not able to simply annihilate the enemy fleet as they had hoped. Instead, they were suffering heavy losses and still not gaining a superior advantage over the enemy. Tronos was now very worried and hurridly pulled back his forces. They now assembled into a near-impenetrable line, with their flanks curved inward slightly to prevent from being out-flanked. The two great command ships Invincible and Amun Shiva were near the center of the line, their shields powerful and almost completely full-strength.
The Acarra now waited for the Coalition's next move.
----------------------
Garren System
On almost the other side of the galaxy from Voinia, the Acarra were preparing another invasion. Over 350 Acarra warships, supported by 200 Gyn'Thar vessels, had been prepared for the attack. As they commenced final preparations and began to load thousands of Acarra stormwarriors, Vaergon was just finishing up a meeting with Amir Vanoth. Vanoth was a Praetor, and was in charge of mind controlling the Gyn'Thar vessels assigned to Vaergon's fleet. During the meeting, Vaergon was immensely awed by the man; you could really feel his psionic presence.
Now, they were preparing for the invasion of Mirava. Thousands of extra stormwarrios had been assigned to Vaergon's fleet, as well as several thousand Shockwarriors; the elite of the Acarran army who had incredible psionic powers. These extra troops were brought in to combat the mechs that the Miranu were reported to use, as well as the large civillian population of Mirava.
After having a great feast of animals and slaves alike, the primary commanders quickly hastened to their ships. The fleet was soon underway, and it slipstreamed out for Tmidor...
Tmidor System
The Miranu fleet in the system immediately scrambled back upon sighting the huge enemy warfleet, and most were incinerated by the barrage of torpedoes and missiles launched by the Acarra. Then, leaving behind many still-intact ships, the fleet hyperspaced out again, this time for Kitrak...
Kitrak System
When the Acarra entered this system, they once again unleashed a small barrage of missiles and torpedoes to keep the Miranu busy, then hyperspaced out for the last time...
Battle of Mirava
The Miranu were ready for the Acarra, but they still had not expected such a huge number of ships, nor did they expect the Gyn'Thar. The Acarra slipstreamed in, fired off a salvo of StarFlare Missiles, then retreated beyond missile and torpedo range. The Miranu found it nearly impossible to outmaneuver and dodge the StarFlare missiles as they homed in and exploded in huge, violent shockwaves of psi energy which shook, damaged, or destroyed any ships nearby.
As the Miranu reorganized their line, the Acarra hung back, not daring to engage them yet. The Miranu moved forward, and the Acarra fired off another salvo of missiles and backed off. Suddenly, the Acarra charged and unleashed a devastating barrage of weapons fire into the enemy, catching the Miranu off-guard and destroyed dozens upon dozens of ships. Then, however, Vaergon detected incoming reinforcements and quickly backed off out of missile range again, resuming the old proceedure of firing off salvos of missiles and backing up any time the Miranu got close...

OOC:Uh, how about a ship count? ---------------------------------------------- Admiral Benden recieved the message from the Coalition. Armeggeddon, eh? Well, today would not be it, nor would it be tommorrow. "Order out all of the MVAG's. Have them hyper in behind the Accaran line, then fire as many torpedoes as they can in fifteen seconds. Then have them jump at a 90° angle in a straight line untill they are out of Accaran weapon range, then have them return here." This attack plan was quickly and easily followed, and before the Accara knew what was on them, the MVAG's had hypered out to a safe distance. The Accara lost nearly 100 ships in that maneuver, most of them light warships. Several Wolf's and a few Gyn'thar ships were destroyed.
The replicators on the planet below were being busy. Several of the smaller replicators had been used to make shield generators. These were spevially tuned to join in with others to form a sphere of shields around the planet. This would be pretty inneffective against a real attack though, as a failure in more than three of the generators would take down the network. The real prize was still being worked on furiously by the scientists in the New Hrekka Station. The other citizens of New Hrekka station had not been idle either. Without warning, the station shot out several beams at Accaran ships. This was the best use for the Disruptor Cannon. The large scale Cannons mounted on the station were just bigger replica's of the shipboard ones. Their effects also increased in proportion to their size. Each ship that was hit by a Cannon gained a 20 ft. diameter hole in it that went all the way through. Since it was a technology based on tractor beams, it went straight through the shields and pulled on the hull. Hoards of Photon Torps were unleashed from the station, these being a new installation that the citizens had paid for and done the work on. Other citizens had take out loans and purchased ships, adding to the fleets of the Miranu.
The CSR's on planet were linked to several quickly replicated reactors, and were pumping out huge amounts of ships. The new generators would probably break down and shut off as they had not had a thorough check through, but they would suffice for the battle. There was no time to build the Factory Ships, even though they would be an immense help in the battle.
As his next offensive move, Admiral Benden ordered that the fleet jump to within half a kilometer of the rear off the Accaran line and engage in melee's. The fleet jumped in, and unleashed hoards off fire at the Accaran fleet, destroying even more ships, mostly fighters and light warships. The ships then moved towards the fleet, firing off primary weapons and missiles at a prodigous rate, as fighters zoomed around the ships and took down cruisers in huge swarming attacks. When the Accaran's would fire their fancy-smancy missiles, the targeted ship would merely make a minijump back to the planet, then come back and join the fight once the missile was neutralized.
And for the main event, the Suicide Freightors lifted off and headed for the Command ship(s). There were around 26 in all, and they all jumped to hyperspace and slammed into the command ships. They carried considerably more anti-matter than SW's, and soon the command ship(s) was(were) down to just shields. Paul ordered that the Aurgelmir and Harmzuay move in and take them out. The great BattleCarriers moved in with their escorts, destroying ships as quickly as possible, fighting their way to the Command ship(s). ----------------------------------------------- Captain Dwergion on the Dragon Renthula's Might stood and stared out the veiwport of the bridge. Suddenly, out of no where, several Accaran ships engulfed his in a hail of fire. The escorts assigned to him started firing off salvoes at these daring attackers. The Accaran ships soon pulled off, but the damage was done. The Renthula's Might was drifting lifelessly in space, her crew dead. Her passageways were filled by the void off space, and her engines were maintianing them on a steady, straight course for a damaged Wolf Starcruiser. All were dead except for those on the bridge. The captain picked himself up off the floor, and dusted himself off. With a wordless order, the badly burned helmsman fired off her engines one last time. A last transmission was sent from Captain Dwergion to the fleet:"Today was a good day. A very good day."
The ship went down with only one kill in the battle:the Wolf Starcruiser that had been stuck in her sights. ------------------------------------------ The Mechs had been waiting on New Hrekka station. Well, most of them atleast. Others now resided in bases throughout the Alliance, waiting for their users to activate them and destroy Accaran invaders. These 300 included the upgraded ones and were being launched into space to attempt to board ships that had lost their shields. They immediately blasted off with their small ion engines, all heading for the nearest shieldless Accaran or Gyn'thar vessel. Their small size and tiny engines made them so hard to see on sensors that to the average operator they looked like small pieces of drifting debris. ---------------------------------------- Miranu Trading Alliance Tech Planetary Defense Grid Design ETC:1 Posts Non-Government Building: Mech Mass Production Total:625 Per Turn:75 Upgraded:50 MVAG Mass Production Total:172 Per Turn:128 Total deployed:24 OOC:I'm gonna win, hahahaha-ha!

OOC: Mind telling me about how you can manage to make multiple mini-jumps inside a system without using up fuel?
---------------
The Acarra, however, completely dominated the Miranu in close-combat and melee fights. With the help of the Gyn'thar vessels and the precious few Paladin Battlefrigates they had, the Acarra wiped out whole waves of enemy warships. Another weapon which now came in useful was the Gyn'Thar EMP Cannon, which could knock out all electronics on a ship for long periods of time, and another weapon which came in useful was the Thunderbolt Beam (also used by the Gyn'thar) which could hit multiple targets at once and was devastating against fighter wings.
As the battle proceeded, the Acarra decided to try their own hand at mini-jumping. As the Miranu closed in on them, the Acarra suddenly disappeared as they slipstreamed to the other end of the system and began to bombard Mira itself, raining down swarms of torpedoes and missiles.
The Miranu, naturally, hyperspaced back at them, but the Acarra jumped away again. As the Miranu followed, they realized to their horror that a dozen Acarran Paladin Battlefrigates had been left in orbit of Mira. They had punctured the shield grid in one area and were now wreaking havoc on the surface, reducing whole cities to rubble in minutes.
The Miranu split their forces, but by the time they neared the planet, the battlefrigates jumped back towards the main fleet and once again engaged in melee combat. The Acarra also had an advantage; slipstream travel required less energy (acarra don't use fuel) than hyperspace did, not to mention that the energy used was also constantly regenerated.
Not only were the Acarra quickly learning to adapt to the strategies of the Miranu in using mini-jumps to get away, they also used the suicide tactic. Two Enforcer Frigates which were heavily damaged engaged into slipstream at the Aurgelmir , literally ripping its shield grid to shreds in the impact. While the Harmzuay was occupied by several dozen Wolf Starcruisers while being shot at by EMP Cannons and thus could not offer any assistence, the huge command ship Menthu-Ra now bore down on the enemy battleship, its weapons blazing against the much-weakened vessel. The other command ship, the Gantrithor , which had been rammed, was unable to assist due to the heavy damage it had sustained. As the Aurgelmir continued to be hit back, a dozen Wolf Starcruisers also assaulted it, their guns also blazing like mad.
The mechs proved to be little use against the self-sealing hulls of the Gyn'Thar, and were also heavily targetted by the new Psi Disruptor Point-Defense-Systems, which had been designed to target even the smallest thing that could possibly attack the ship. When the mechs were able to board enemy ships, the Gyn'Thar always hit them with an EMP pulse, and the Acarra used their powerful stormwarriors against them with fairly good effeciancy. The Acarra were much smarter than the Shamtul in in-ship warfare, and the elite Shockwarriors also proved to be extremely effective against the mechs with their psi sabers and psionic bazookas.
At one point in the battle, a damaged Wolf Starcruiser was hit and sent flying into the atmosphere of Mira along with another derelict enforcer frigate. The frigate detonated in the atmosphere, sending down a shower of firey debris onto civillians, and the starcruiser landed off-shore. The resulting explosion as it finally imploded, however, vaporized water for half a kilometer around and annihilated two nearby cities (imagine hydrogen bomb explosion here).

This was it. The time had come. All systems had been evacuated in to the Duram system. A huge flash of light, then the Hyper-Funnel opened. It was the biggest one yet. Grunadulater sighed. It was time for his people to leave the Milky Way, not knowing where they were going. Oh well. Grunadulater felt something coming, all of a sudden. It was the most terrible feeling he had ever felt. Suddenly, 500 Accara warships jumped in the system. The Final Battle of the Confederacy thus began. Scatter cloaks made hundreds more Confed ships that there really were. The civillian ships all were flying in to the Funnel first, the warships staying and fighting. ---------- Fighter squad 1337 "Sir! I can't shake it!"
"Stay calm, I'm coming." The best fighter squad in the Confederacy flew along, blasting Accara ships to oblivion. "Thanks."
"Okay. Go for the Command ship!" The fighters, along with another 5 squads that were almost as good, shot toward the command ship. Suddenly, a whole barrage of fire killed the huge amount of fighters and about fifty more. ---------- Grunadulater felt the men die. He couldn't control his anger anymore. His pain. He felt the anger rise in him, then it seemed to come out in a huge power. Suddenly, a Accara frieghter full of Warheads detonated, scattering Accara ships everywhere. This distracted the Accara, and the last of the warships sped toward the Hyper-Funnel. Grunadulater had had enough. He launched from the flagship of the Confed fleet in his personal Crasher, enraged at the Accara. It went beyond enraged. Grunadulater couldn't even describe it to himself. Just as the last ships were going through the Funnel, the Accara launched a huge barrage of weapon fire. "NOOOOOO!"Grunadulater screamed. Suddenly, all went quiet. He saw the Accara ships, but they were moving in extreamly slow motion. So were the missiles. The last of the Confed fleet sped in to the Funnel, and Grunadulater then had the worst headache in his life. Slowly, the Hyperbeam generator moved in to the Funnel as well, and the Funnel closed. Grunadulater then relieved himself of every grief, every pain he had ever had in his life. His fighter exploded with the sheer force of the power, and every Accara in the system had a massive headache. A shockwave flew from the fighter, and headed in all directions as a growing sphere. Grunadulater was dead, but the Confeds lived on. ---------- (Pre-recoreded transmission) (From: Confederacy) (To: Milky Way) (Hyper Milky Way encryption) "This is Grunadulater of the Confederacy. Paul watched the battle with a stone cold face, and ssoon knew what he must do. He typed in a special code, one that he had programmed into every ship before it left the dockyard. It was the Armeggedon code, and no one would walk away from this battle. Thousands of freightors of all shapes, sizes and classifications launched from planets all around Miranu space. They carried civilians and equipment. Enough to carve out a new civilization where ever they went. There were also three special Heavy Fighters for each planet in the Miranu Alliance. These were special fighters that had been modified after they were built a long time ago. They had a anti-matter warhead just like those on the SW's, and we essentially the same thing in miniature.
As the freightors left the system and set course for parts unknown, the fighters set out for all miranu planets. The planets where all but empty, and there were even fighters for those planets that had been captured. In one final strike, the Miranu destroyed all of the planets in their space. All stellar bodies, all signs of life. All that were left were stars... ------------------------------------------------ The Miranu Navy soon followed the freightors, and the Aurgelmir and Harmzuay left, but Admiral Paul Benden was not on either one. He left alone, in his personal ship, the Argentium Vengeance. He set a random course, and then climbed into a cold-sleep capsule. The old Crescent Warship drifted through space for many years, and is drifting still. ---------------------------------------------------- OOC:See, I won. You didn't capture me.

UE Admiral; oops, sorry about that one mistake. However, in my post, that one station already blew up. By the time you made your post, it was already gone.
------------------------
However, the freighters who were ordered to take out Mira itself, never got that far. The Gyn'thar knocked them out with EMP cannons and had them destroyed after the warheads were taken away.
Surrounding the system, the Acarra also cut off the Miranu's escape route. Their fleet, which the Acarra considered still quite formidable, was trapped. Deciding to go out in a big boom, many ships charged the enemy line, and one of them was a dreadnaught. The dreadnaught, however, was hit with hundreds of psi pulses and was quickly done away with, but not before it was knocked off course and directly into the hull of the mighty Menthu-Ra. The fireball enveloped both ships, and Benden sighed with depression, knowing that nothing could destroy those huge warships.
But that all changed in an instant.
The Menthu-Ra's shields were, in fact, rather weak and on the point of collapse. The dreadnaught had not only punctured the shields, but had also gouged a huge hole in the side of the warship, which now driftly slowly as it burned. Suddenly, in a violent explosion, it imploded in on itself. The Miranu watched with amazement and the Acarra with horror as the system was lit up and the massive fireball slowly expanded. Vaergon had transferred to the Gantrithor before that, but there was something much worse about the destruction of the Menthu-Ra; onboard was Amir Vanoth, one of the praetors who were mind-controlling the Gyn'thar.
With his death, all Gyn'thar temporarily went unconscious and their ships drifted aimlessly. The Acarra still outnumbered and outgunned the Miranu and continued to pound their surrounded foe, but they were about to get a really really bad shock.
Onboard Benden's ship the Harmzuay , suddenly, a com message came in.
"This is Valanor Arak. Who are you, why are we where, and where are we?"
The voice was unusual, and the com officer suddenly identified it as coming from the lead Gyn'thar battleship.
"Ummm..." Benden started. "We are the Miranu, a peaceful race of the Milky Way who are fighting against the Acarra. We don't know why you're here but we think it has to do with you being mind controlled, and right here is the Mirava system." A map was quickly sent to the Gyn'thar.
"Ahhhhhh... Well then, it will be an honor to fight alongside you!" Valanor roared.
The Gyn'thar immediately turned on the Acarra. Some of their weapons were better used against the Miranu, but they could still pound the Acarra pretty darn well, and they knew how the Acarra fought and their tactics better.
With their new Gyn'thar allies, the future looked a lot more promising for the Miranu. The battle raged on. The Aurgelmir had pulled away from the battle and was now being quickly repaired, and now the Harmzuay was under heavy fire. Half an hour later, the battle was still going on, and the Aurgelmir was in the thick of it again.
Suddenly, the weakened Gantrithor command ship came plowing through the Miranu's lines. Firing off what weapons it had left, it went straight for the Aurgelmir , who was unable to escape the bigger and faster vessel. In a gigantic explosion, the two rammed each other. The fireball slowly expanded outward as both ships disintigrated completely, sending millions of tons of debris into nearby ships.
By the time it was over, the system was filled with wreckage, and the Acarra were without a leader, and now hopelessly doomed, though they would still fight to the last, and they could do a lot of damage doing it...
OOC: See Benden? Now, I did that for you, but you really should have just consontrated most of your firepower on the two command ships.
Voinia the Coalition fleet got yet another reinforcment fleet of the same number as last time plus 10 Aegis Pocket Battleships. the fight raged on and the now three Battleships were in range of the weakend Command ship and fired all weapons. photons and spurs sped through space and plowed through what was left of the massive ship's shields and the photon torps went to work on the Armor, the Command ship lost crew quarters then enginering and finaly exploded scatering the Acarra's formation. 2 groups of Aegis (5 each) swooped in on lonly Acarra vessels and gave them all the company the could ever need, spurs and beams and photons crshed through frigates and fighters plus the occasonal wolf. their nubers were dwindling but so were the Coalition's. stupid fighter pilots went srait to the other Command ship without orders and got blasted away like flies. -------- "it seems that we will win this battle sir." As the Demon exploded violently, taking down two of the Aegis Cruisers in the resulting fireball. Fortunately for the Acarra, the person who was mind-controlling the Gyn'thar in Voinia, whose name was Vanir Garek, was on the Demeter instead.
As the Acarra's numbers slowly dwindled, they suddenly got some help.
The fleet under the command of Third General Ravaer, 400 ships strong (they used to have 500 but lost a lot to mines), entered the system. Unlike the fleet under the command of Tronos, Ravaer's fleet was heavily armed with large amounts of starflare missiles. They launched wave upon wave of the missiles into the enemy fleet, and, lead by the Invincible and the Amun Shiva , the fleet now added to the before doomed Acarra fleet. The Coalition was hit hard and pulled back. They tried to charge but were sent reeling by another wave of starflare missiles.
-------------------------
Yerdor System
Supported by 150 Gyn'thar vessels, the huge Acarran warfleet of 450 warships was poised in Yerdor for the final strike against the Zidagar. Lhevak had just finished another of the 'victory feasts' the Acarra generals always had before going into battle. Lhevak was also one of the generals who most-encouraged eating slaves during the feast. Some generals, like Vaergon and Lythrawn, generally did not prefer eating slaves.
Now Lhevak and the other praetors ran off to their ships. One praetor in particular, Zarakae Artrod, was onboard the Quezacoatl and would be the one mind-controlling the Gyn'thar.
The Battle of Zidagar
"Sir!" the lieutenant ran to the base commander on Tumni in the Zidagar system.
"What is it?" the commander barked.
"We just lost contact with Vlagos!"
"WHAT?!"
"Oh my... Sir!" another lieutenant yelled, looking at the sensor readout. "Incoming Acarra and Gyn'Thar vessels! Over six-hundred of them!"
"All men to your ships! All men to your ships! Contact ESPilot immediately! Go go go!"
The massive warfleet glided smoothely and menacingly into the Zidagar system. The two huge command ships provided a glorious sight for the Acarra, surrounded by well over two-dozen Paladin Battlefrigates. The Acarra stood still in a perfect line, eying the Zidagar. Finally, they fired. Streams of hyperfield torpedoes, starflare missiles, and warp disruptor torpedoes raced towards the Zidagar, tearing through their fighter wings and turning Zidaras into smoldering pieces of rubble.
Remembering that the Zidagar had their long-range flash turrets, the Acarra stayed back quite a ways, only barely within torpedo range. Finally, they charged forward. Lhevak had waited for the Zidagar to be in their most confused state before he charged, and he also wanted to wipe out as many Zidagar as possible before more ships arrived in the way of reinforcement fleets. He knew that the Zidagar would be unable to do this all by themselves; they'd probably get help from the Dark Angels.
The Zidagar took extreme casualties early on as the Acarra charged their lines, the few Paladin battlefrigates tearing apart ships, and the wolf starcruisers knocking out Zidara after Zidara. Zidagar itself as well as Tumni were bombarded slightly, the shipyards and military installations being the main things that were hit.
As the Zidagar reeled, the Acarra continued to put on the pressure, not giving the Zidagar a moments rest. Dozens of ships fell as the Acarra rampaged about the battlefield, destroying as many ships as they could before the hoards of reinforcements arrived...
Voinia all Coalition ships that had photons attacked the command ships at long range. more ships jump in just like the last 2 waves and joined their counterparts. groups of photons hit the Command ship Demeter making the sheilds plummet down to 40%. other vessels keped Acarra ships off the battleships and dreadnoughts back as they fired volly after volly.sharks ganged up on frigates taking them out quickly as fighters swarmed fighters.the Gunships joined the fighters in their crusade. still the Acarra were limited but now vastly supieor. --- Huron 8 of the Coalitions largest frieghters hyper into the planet. the planet was pretty much deleted from the galaxy as a livable planet. now it was much like Dames only worse. nothing was left on the planet exept the third layer of ground below what was the crust. --- "i hated to do that but it had to be done. now that that base is gone the Acarra have no shipyards within 2 jumps of Coalition space."

The Acarra were being hit bad, and their numbers continued to dwindle. As they continued to blast away at the Coalition, the huge Demeter moved slowly towards Borb Station and Voinia.
Pummeled on all sides by the hoards of Coalition warships, the Demeter fended them off as well as it could, slowly heaving itself forward like an animal knowing it will die soon, its will to survive for at least a little longer kicking in. Finally, it reached Borb Station, and diverted all possible power to the engines.
Leaping forward, the huge ship (which was bigger than Borb Station itself) rammed into the old Voinian battlestation. Fortunately for the Coalition, the command ship only rammed the side of the station. Life support and all other vital systems were knocked out on the station as the generator experienced and meltdown and was shot into space, detonating and damaging both the Acarra and the Coalition. Much of the outer armor was sheared off and very large section of the station (where the Demeter rammed it) was twisted or simply blown off. With about a third of the station missing, Borb Station was now just a useless derelict, floating about in space amongst the battle.
The Demeter , however, survived the impact, but it suddenly experienced a major overload in its engines. As a wave of psi energy shot out as its engines were blown apart in explosions of pure psionic energy, bright green and shimmering in space. The command ship now began to plummet towards the surface, its shields gone, its armor steadily beginning to collapse. The Coalition shot it up as much as they could, and they probably saved the planet from being totally wiped out. The Command ships generator imploded inside the ship as it went down, spewing out flames and debris, but somehow the Demeter managed to stay in one piece and continued to fall.
And then, it hit. In a huge flash of green, followed by a colossal fireball, the command ship hit the northern continent. The vessel had hit the ground going over 850 mph with several of its large auxillary power cores still intact, and the resulting explosion caused a shockwave of air spread out for over 1000 miles in all directions, causing massive blasts of wind which could go up to 400 mph. The clouds were blown away farther than 1000 miles, and the explosion could be seen from space. The ground shook and seemed to disintigrate into billions of flying pieces as the main firey shockwave burst out. Dozens of cities were wiped off the face of the planet, with hovercars being thrown into the air, and people vaporized into nothing but dust as the wave of fire spread out.
As the battle raged on, the explosion and shockwave on the surface continued, and only stopped after 20 minutes of pure terror. It was as if a meteor had struck the planet, wiping out almost everything on the northern continent, and annihilating over 49 cities, killing little less than a billion people.
The Gyn'thar now did the same thing as the Gyn'thar in Mirava did; become disorientated for a moment, then fighting the Acarra. The Acarra were now getting beaten up quite badly, and continued to lose dozens of ships. However, the Acarra had a surprise in store for the Coalition...
OOC: Also, UE Admiral, please don't end the battle in one big post. I want to do that. Also, you actually quite outnumber the Acarra in Voinia, but the Acarra are lot more technilogically advanced, so that's why you're having a hard time beating them up. You'll probably win, though, with Gyn'thar help.
-----------------
The Battle of Sol
In Sol, there was still a fairly sizable Coalition presence, but it wasn't much compared to the massive fleet in Voinia. They were completely unaware that Thrade, upon having his base in Huron destroyed, had set out to exact vengeance upon the scourge that had humiliated him twice, first by destroying his command ship in their first engagement, and second in destroying his base so easily.
While they continued on their patrol routes, the Acarra laid waste to Ariane and Tulir extremely easily, for most of the Coalition's forces had been sent to defend Voinia. There were several million survivors out of the colonies which had billions of inhabitants, and many bases and cities remained, but all of their communications equipment had been eradicated.
Jumping into the Sol system, the Acarra fleet of 300 vessels, lead by the Elysium and the Myrmidon , began to plow through the first waves of Coalition fighters, but then Earth itself launched its formidable defense fleet. Though it was still no match for the Acarra, they might just be able to hold them off long enough for the Battle of Voinia to end and the Coalition ships there to come and save Sol.
As the Acarra began to rampage around the system, the Coalition discovered with horror that there were no Gyn'thar ships which could be used against the Acarra, and there were much more Paladin battlefrigates in this fleet than in all the others, and these caused much havoc among the enemy.

OOC: Carno, the Zidigar have been preparing for a massive attack ever since Yerdor was lost. Don't assume they're automatically confused when your fleet attacks. And you're forgetting my Zidagras, naughty boy.
The Zidagar fought back voraciously. Zidaras and Zidagar fighters were being wiped out, but so were Shrikes and Wraiths. One of the Paladin Battlefrigates suddenly exploded from the inside; an anti-matter missile suddenly appearing right in it's engine section. Entire defense fleets from outlying stations and planets hypered in, bolstering Zidagar numbers. The deadly anti-matter and Ciat missiles were exiting hyperspace right inside the larger, slower capitol ships. The battle was massive; Hyperspace Carriers were constantly repairing Zidaras and Zidigar fighters and sending them out. Entire stations had entered hyperspace and were producing ships that went straight to Zidagar after being crewed. The eight Trebuchet Heavy Destroyers directed the Zidagar forces, blasting at anything within range. Espilot roared over the intercomm "Bring out the freighter! Hurry!" A single heavy freight cruiser had been filled with antimatter, equipped with shields, a hyperdrive, engine and skeleton crew, and was now lumbering out from the planet on the opposite side to which the battle was taking place. It's IFF code read as a trader, but that didn't stop a small group of Enforcers, who went after it doggedly. However, the freighter had an escort of Zidaras and Zidagras, which fought back voraciously. As the freighter cleared the planet's gravity well, it's shields were gone, it's armor severely battered, and the Zidagras were still fighting the remaining Enforcers. The freighter then entered hyperspace, and the Zidagras were wiped out, having completed their mission.
Zarakae Artrod smiled. The battle was going in his favor. Suddenly there was a cry of dismay from within the Quezacoatl. A heavy freighter, full of anti-matter, had suddenly appeared inside the middle of the ship. Most of the crew didn't even have time to scream as they were incinerated.

OOC:Okay Carno, tottally ignore my previous post. Just say I launched a bunch more SW's but you disabled them and disabled the warheads, and I also launched the Argentium Vengeance , and was commanding as rear gaurd from it. I will not have advanced any tech in that post, though. Sometimes it seem like you are doing this just to beat other players up, others that you are doing it just so everyone can have a good time. The Accara are in for a big surprise when I march on their systems with thousands of automated ships. =8^) Oh, and I am assuming that I may control the Gyn'thar this battle so that we can coordinate tactics. You can remove them from the game or whatever after this. ------------------------------------- Paul ducked in an instinctive reaction as the mighty Aurgelmir was destroyed in a final blaze of glory, and the Gyn'thar quickly took to the fore and charged ahead of the shining hull of the Vengeance and took advantage of the large(but quicky shrinking) hole that had appeared in the Accaran lines. Many more MVAG's pored in after them, throwing Torps around as though they were going out of style. No troop transports had yet to be launched at Mira, so all remaining forces around the planet quickly charged forward at the nearest Accaran ship. The Miranu forces were blindly meleeing now, going berserk and attacking the nearest enemy, no matter how badly they would be defeated. Many Miranu ships were lost, but many Accaran ships were lost too. The only difference:the Miranu had reinforcements.
A message came through from an exhausted scientist on New Hrekka station. The brand new defense grids were ready to be installed. Paul gave immediate authorization for it, and then turned his attention back to the battle. The Argentium Vengeance was now sitting back towards the planet, giving its sole occupant a spectacular veiw of the battle. Many of the Miranu ships that were blowing up were simply drone ships, fighting as their orders dictated. A few were occupied by many Miranu citizens. Paul shed an unnoticed tear at the thought of their pain and the burn of plasma explosions and sudden depressurization, and the sorrow of knowing they had not accomplished all they wished. He ordered all occupied ships to from a sphere in the center of the battlefield, and for a layer of drone ships to form up around these, with a large globe going out and encompassing all ships within it.
The outer globe shrunk rapidly and captured the Accaran ships between two sources of fire. Now, Paul waited for the moment of truth. Would they stay and fight, or would they break and run without their commander. Only time would tell. ------------------------------------------- Miranu Trading Alliance Tech Planetary Defense Grid Installation ETC:2 Posts Non-Government Building: Mech Mass Production Total:700 Per Turn:75 Upgraded:50 MVAG Mass Production Total:300 Per Turn:125 Total deployed:24
OOC: Don't underestimate the power of Paladin Battlefrigates. Their two (unturreted) Navair Lances do about 40 shield and armor damage in Res-Edit. That is a rather powerful beam weapon.
--------------------
Battle of Zidagar
As the Quezacoatl was slowly torn apart, Third General Lhevak quickly evacuated to the Triton before the ship exploded. Knowing that the Gyn'thar would now turn on them, Lhevak ordered all Gyn'thar ships destroyed immediately. This proved somewhat easier with the large amounts of Paladin Battlefrigates that Lhevak had been given, and by the time the Gyn'thar actually recovered and began to fight for the Zidagar, most of their ships had been destroyed.
Roving groups of Paladin Battlefrigates now proved extremely effective against the Zidagar, their armor plating and shield grids regenerating extrordinarily quickly, and their speed and maneuverability giving them a supreme edge in close-combat. They also came with large amounts of StarFlare Missiles, which were also almost always fatal if not avoided immediately.
The Zidagar were still loosing ships faster than the Acarra were. In fact, much faster. The Gyn'thar were unable to help much, and the Triton was protected by a wall of starcruisers and frigates, ready to ward off any attack. The battle raged on...
The Acarra continued to fight on viciously, with the Gyn'thar and Miranu taking heavy losses. Fighting on to the end, the Acarra numbers slowly dwindled, but in the process they had already taken out well over 500 Miranu ships, and more continued to fall.
Working desperately, a wing of Enforcer Frigates broke off from the main fleet and headed straight for New Hrekka Station. While the others engaged enemy ships, one of the frigates slipstreamed straight into the station. The shields were blown off in miliseconds as the wreckage of the frigate slammed into the station. A large section of the station was blasted off, leaking air, supplies, and people into space. As fires raged through the station, with much of its hull armor sheared off leaving behind only the weak secondary hull to prevent breaches, the station was now horribly damaged, but at least it had survived and 2/3 of the crew were alive.
Suddenly, as the Miranu continued to combat the Acarra, they realized with horror that the Acarra had indeed launched dozens of troop transports which were now heading towards the planet from the opposite side. The Miranu were only able to shoot down one before they began to enter the atmosphere and landed, sending out swarms of Acarra stormwarriors and the elite and deadly shockwarriors. Marching out, twenty astride, the Acarra ground troops only stayed in formation until they reached the enemy. Then they split up and began to attack from all sides; they knew that staying in the open was suicide, especially against mechs which could mow them down.
One city fell, then another, then a third before the Acarra were slowed down long enough for Miranu troops and mechs to begin landing on the planet. And still the fighting was tough and brutal, for each transport carried several thousand troops each, and the combined number of sixty or seventy of them landing quickly made their numbers equal if not larger than the Miranu. Battlefields were soon littered with the dead, usually the Miranu. The only thing that kept the Acarra from rampaging across the entire surface within a few hours were the mechs, which hit the Acarra fairly badly, but they too could also be destroyed and overwhelmed.
OOC: Benden, well, a little of both. I want people to have fun, but who says I can't beat the heck out of them in the process while loosing?
OOC: You seem to be forgetting that my missiles exit hyperspace inside enemy ships and detonate.
Espilot said "Bring up a comm channel with the Seraphim, pronto!" "Yessir!" "Seraphim, the Acarra are launching a massive attack on our homeworld. I request assistance from as many of your ships as can be spared; I'm not sure how I'll be able to repay you, but I will try to do it somehow."
"Concentrate on those frigates! We can't fight this battle with them buzzing around on our tails!" Kalej yelled. Opening up a channel with one of the Carriers, he said "Get back down to the planet. Fill up your carrier's bays with as much anti-matter as it can hold in a stable containment field, and man her with only a skeleton crew. Have them understand that their sacrifices will not be in vain." "Yes, sir." the captain replid slowly. One Hyperspace Carrier reentered normal space just inside the atmosphere of Tumni, and descended to a shipyard. All of it's bays were evacuated, and refilled with antimatter in stabelized containment fields.
Espilot knew that his forces were losing the battle, despite the ships being produced and immediately sent into the fray. There was a bright flash as a Zidara exploded, followed by another. There was a second flash, but he realised it wasn't a Zidagar ship; it was a Paladin frigate. "Well, they're one shorter..." he muttered. "All Zidagras, stay together with your squadrons. Do not allow yourselves to be seperated. The enemy frigates are powerful and well-defended, but they're also small, which makes them more susceptible to our missiles!" The tight clusters of Zidagras were attacking from long range with Flash weaponry and powerful anti-matter missiles, damaging the deadly Battlefrigates from both inside and out. Yet another Paladin was destroyed, but for every one of them that was destroyed, it seemed two Zidagar ships were destroyed as well. "Damnit, where's Jeshi and his forces?"
Espilot knew he wouldn't be able to scrounge up another freighter to fill with anti-matter, which was why Kalej was having the bays of a Carrier filled with the stuff. "Admiral, sir, the carrier is ready." "Good! Have it follow the same path as the freighter did, but with less escort, since it won't be needed." The massive carrier left the planet at full speed, it's anti-matter reactor pouring excess energy straight into the engines. It's weapons generator had also been rerouted to the engines, making it even faster. A Paladin battlefrigate went after the Carrier, but was repelled by the Zidagra escorts. Moving in on the frigate and firing their Phased Beams full force, as well as Flash weaponry, they were able to deal serious damage to the Battlefrigate, but left it disabled instead of destroying it. Three more Paladins began to attack, but the Carrier was already entering hyperspace.
Despite their distance from the front lines, there was a suddenly explosion inside one of the Wolf Starcruisers protecting the Triton. And another. And still more. Anti-matter missiles were coming out of nowhere, even though the entire Zidagar fleet was being distracted by the main Acarra force. The missiles were appearing inside said Cruisers en masse, but the battle was still in the Acarra's favor. But the Carrier which was filled with anti-matter hadn't yet exited hyperspace.
The Triton , sensing trouble, moved away from its escorts and was not hit by any more enemy missiles for the moment. The Acarra fleet then, being annoyed with the stubborn Zidagar, launched an all-out melee against them. Ships were everywhere as the Acarra tore away at their Zidagar enemies, their superior close-range weapons proving extremely useful against the enemy ships.
The Zidagar also highly underestimated the Paladin Battlefrigates, which seemed to be able to take on three Zidaras at once, and win. Their shields regenerated so fast that if you didn't take them out when you first engaged them, they would probably slip away for a moment, regenerate, then come back at the still-weak Zidagar vessel.
Heya people. Look, I'm no longer really having fun with WoD, and what with all my other stuff I really can't be bothered posting; so I figured I might as well abdicate. All Dark Angel colonies, vessels, and technologies are now the property of the Azdgari Empire. See you in Silver Horizon!

I hate you. Now, back to the story...
The crew of the Triton thought they were safe, but they weren't. As the Acarra charged the Zidagar, the Hyperspace Carrier which had been filled with anti-matter exited subspace inside the massive command ship. The same thing that had happened to the Quezacoatl , had happened to the Triton. Only now, since the ship had moved away from the other Acarra ships, Lhevak had no chance of escape. "Zidagra patrols fifteen, twenty-four, thirty-nine and thirteen, engage hyperspace and fire Anti-matter Missiles from there!" Kalej said. "That must've been what Jeshi and his fleet was doing! They were there the whole time!" Espilot chuckled briefly. "Still, these new frigates are giving us hell..." One of those frigates suddenly exploded in a bright flash. A well-placed missile had done it's job. Suddenly, a Trebuchet Heavy Destroyer exited hyperspace into the system. "Commodore, good to see you." "You as well, Admiral."
"All ships, form lines!" Epsilot shouted. Suddenly, all ships retreated, leaving the Acarra somewhat baffled. Nine Trebuchet Heavy Destroyers wer elined up at the back; the huge numbers of Zidagra Frigates formed lines in front of those, and in front of those went the still more numerous Zidaras. After that were the Fighters. "Zidagar Fleet, advance." It was like some sort of old battle from medieval times; the entire Zidagar fleet organised by ship size and power, slowly creeping towards the Acarra fleet. However, the Acarra weren't waiting around. Paladin Frigates screamed towards the fleet, and one burst into explosion from an immense barrage of sheer Flash Turret power. They attacked the Zidagar fleet, but the formation remained unwavering. The turreted weapons on every vessel allowed them to attack the Battlefrigates no matter whar angle they came from, and the Zidagras, combined with First Lieutenant Jeshi's forces, were dealing serious unreturned blows to Acarra capitol ships. Then, they all saw it; the massive explosion, of the Triton.
OOC: This is kinda fun. It's the first webstory I've actually seen through to the end.
OOC: i had quite a bit of ships in Talii and Araine. 2 Battleships, at least 25 Aegis, warcuisers and sharks in each system. there is no way you could break through without haveing to take reasonable losses. if you only attcked one system the other fleet would hear of it and come to aid. it is a force to be reckoned with. though not as big as the one in Voinia it is still large. --- Voinia the Coalition fleet with the help of the gyn'thar and yet another reenforcment fleet, were in a good yet painfull position. Out numbering the Acarra but still not suficant to wipe them out entirely. a group of all Battleships and Aegis formed and blasted away at the Amun Shiva with their photons and spurs staying out of range of its weapons. the new fighters and gunships that had just came in went right for the Paladins being sure to stay behinde them. one of the pilots of a fighter singing a song from old earth....."another one bites the dust...another one bites the dust...and another one down and another one dow........." his ship expolodes and falls into a wraith taking them both out. the now useless Borb Station with the few people on it did what Station 5569 did not have the chance to do. act like a defence pod. the station blew up taking out all Acarra ships within 3 AU of it. This battle was going slowly in the Coalitions way. ---- (message to Azdgari) (milky) we have a Acarra fleet below our borders. will you help us defend? ~UEA (end)

OOC: Okay then. I had 400 ships for Thrade and I didn't want to use them to be too mean to you, but nevermind, I'll use them. I took out all the ships in Tulir and Ariane. And, UE Admiral, 400 Acarra warships would annihilate those Coalition ships before they had time to say "Open fire!". And, if you have so much ships throughout your space, you couldn't have all that much ships in Voinia.
Also, ESPilot, how many ships do you have total?
Lhevak, however, was not dead; he simply escaped on one of the dozens of fighters that Command Ships carry. As he left, the Triton turned towards the Zidagar line. As its inner hull began to break apart, its core being slowly blasted away, the ship slipstreamed towards the Zidagar fleet. It never entered full slipstream, it exploded, but it exploded right inside the Zidagar line. Ships were tossed about by the primary explosion and many more were damaged. In the following chaos, Paladin Battlefrigates and the rest of the Acarra fleet hit the Zidagar with all they had.
Lhevak, commanding from a modified scoutship on the outer perimeter where the Zidagar didn't notice him, ordered that the enemy Trebuchet destroyers be targetted heavily. Lining up and preparing to jump ten Enforcer frigates slipstreamed into the enemy destroyers, wiping five of them out (one was destroyed before it hit, the other two were knocked off cource and hit fighters) and severely damaging two others.
The Zidagar were, though they had delt substantial losses to the Acarra, were still loosing ships incredibly fast. The Acarra didn't let up on the Zidagar for a second and continued to attack at extremely close range. Dozens had fallen to Paladin battlefrigates alone.
The Acarra now specifically targetted the enemy Aegis Battleships, pouring fire into just one or two, overwhelming it, then attacking the next enemy ship. Most of the Acarra had been far enough away from Borb Station when it exploded to be unhurt, and they continued to fight unceasingly.
The Invincible , a command ship from Ravaers fleet, now plowed through the heart of the enemy fleet, annihilating dozens upon dozens of ships. However, the Invincible was now in a rather bad position, and had to turn around and get out before it was trapped and slowly overwhelmed. Then both the Invincible and the Amun Shiva charged in, followed by what few Paladin Battlefrigates remained and several Wolf Starcruisers.
And still, as the battle in Voinia raged on, the Coalition in the Sol system were taking an incredible beating from Thrade's warships...
