Kuathor, maybe doing this in public isn't the best idea. But oh well. I would point out that you are the Zacha. It is your job to be defending Miranu planets from any and all Renegade attacks. Guess what affiliation Zeldair is? Guess who's doing it? The Miranu and the Renegades are the respective answers. It is your job and yours alone to defend Miranu space. If you get nice alliances which the Zacha didn't have in the game, that's a great boon for you. But if not, tough. It's still your responsiblity. Get off your @$$ and do the dirty work yourself, stop proposing unlikely alliances, and send more troops (those reinforcements were paltry). Seeing as North Tip Station is NPC, and can't be controlled by anyone, send ALL of them. That's all I can and will say to you.

That's the only bit I have to warn you about. Making unlikely fleet movements because you know a side doesn't have a player in the out-of-context sense is called using OOC knowledge. Baad.

Kuathor, as Esponer mentioned above, you can't send all of them. You have to keep a reasonable amount of them at Outpost Zacha. However, you're allowed to send a reasonable amount. And you should make your post a little more extensive than that and work in that order as an in character thing. I think that might've tied one of thelonepenguin's posts.

I am not sure that everyone understands how we are doing techs. So I will explain it to make it easier.
New Fields :If it is a new field of research, you must set the ETC as "Till Breakthrough". Whenever enough time has passed by, SD uses a randomizer and tells you wether you wasted your time or that you got the good stuffs.
New Stuff in Existing Fields :Say the Voinians wanted to research a new weapon. They decided that they want to research a Neutron Blaster for there fighters. It would be a weapon that does slightly less damage than a Neutron Cannon but weighs a lot less. Because it has to do with Neutrons, the Voinians just have to put a post count on it and wait for that to run out.
Be descriptive in your techs about what you are researching. Saying 'A new missile' helps little. What does the missile use for propulsion? For a warhead? Guidance?

A note: when I'm sure that someone understands and will stick to it, they can decide their own Breakthroughs. For now, I'll do it.
ESPilot, there are a number of problems with your character. In the stead of Esponer, I'll deal with them. First off, as Esponer has clearly stated multiple times - humans have not left their own space. Your pilot would not know about the Miranu - nor of Zidagars, the Council Station, Strandless or even South Tip Station. At the very least, you would need to change that he's human. You would likelier than not need a huge reworking of your pilot. Another thing - and I don't mean to throw you out of this or anything - but did Esponer ever approve you character?
Oh, and by the way, Aradas cost only 1.2 Million either that or 1 Million - I forget which.
Okay, I've edited out the part about humans knowing anything about the Miranu or the Crescent, but the rest stays the same.
Period.

But the fact remains that he's a human and he knows of the Strands/Strandless. Humans just don't know about those, nor have they explored that part of space. While I can't make you change it, given the fact that Esponer made Admiral Benden's character, who was human and in the exact same place that your character is , change, I would think he'd tell you to do so too.
My characters were minor. I advise just waiting until contact is made and then write your travels through the Crescent into the story.
Blah...what happened to a rational explanation being enough unless it was for a super-weapon that wiped out entire fleets, planets or systems? annoyed grumbling
Anyway, I'm not changing anything else unless Esponer says to. And even then, I might not change it.

ESPilot, just wait, and join when contact has been made. And the logical problem here is thus: if the Miranu knew of humans, they would have made proper diplomatic contact. I'm sorry, but for the U.E. and the Miranu to meet, there must have been no mutual contact before then, down to individual characters. I'd rather not get into paradoxes and conflicting plots, if that's at all possible.
And ESP, if you decide to ignore what people are saying, people will ignore what you are posting, so you'll end up being in a totally different universe in the same story. So don't try any silly ultimatums. : )

Breakthrough
1. Emalgha targetting systems (fully functional point defence system (youch, bad roll, bad bad roll))
2. Voinian guidance systems (higher level dumb guiding (not too bad a roll, but I wanted an 8!))
3. South Tip Strandless containment field (nothing to roll)
The Zidagar's application of anti-matter continues (a shield/weapon/reactor/special roll came out as shields), The UE's application of dark matter continues (no roll made yet, science being checked up on), and the Miranu's application of anti-matter continues (don't hold your breath on a beam.)
Gah, fine. But Ipvicus or Solel better hurry up and make contact. I suppose I'll just take my IC post out and stick it back in after they meet.

Esponer from what I can tell, Dark Matter is basicly the same as normal matter. It dosn't have as much gravatational pull, but there is alot more of it than normal matter. The only reason we can't see it is that it's black against the black of space and dosn't give off light. It might come in many different varieties, some metallic, some that can be used as fuel or an energy scource. The possibilities might be just as plentiful as with normal matter.

I truly hope that this webstory is only suffering from a short bout of inactivity and is not completly dead. I apologise for my own inactivity, but I have been very busy with my Eagle Scout service project and have had no time for writing. I expect to be able to post something at the begining of next week.
