OOC:REDchigh, A)The pirate was being sent on an ore hauler, not a fighter, B)Why would I chain him up?, and C) He left the station before I contacted the Zidagar, and was never in my presence anyways.
"Hail those things!" Saraine commanded. A broad-wave message was sent to the ships:
(to:Alien Vessels) (fr:Saraine) (re:Hello, strangers ) (Greetings, strange aliens! We are a mercenary force known as the Dark Angels. Who are you, and what can we do for you? Ciao, The Seraphim -Saraine -Rasael(by proxy) -Raven(by proxy))
The Zidagar hyperspace inhibitors had done some good for non-Zidagar, Raven thought. By blocking off most of the central northern Crescent, they had assured that to get to Gadzair Mamajama would have to pass through Sirabor. In low orbit above Sirabr Prime, the Shadow Angel waited, weapons primed. Finally a large ship jumped into the system; it's transponder identified it as the Foster's Revenge , a Miranu Dreadnaught, commanded by none other than Mamajama herself. Lips set into a harsh line to match her brows, Raven moved the Shadow Angel to intercept. "Fire TRAK Modules." she commanded. "Fire on that, Sir? Are you sure?" her XO asked. "Of course I'm sure, you incompetent whelp! Launch Fighters and Aradas! Prime the Angelfire Turrets!" "Sir, that thing's got an Adaah emitter , we can't let the fighters face that!" " Do it." Raven growled. The XO, trembling all over, shook his head. "No, Sir." "Is that mutiny?" "I'm afraid so, Sir. We're not going to send the fighters out." Pushing him aside, Raven took the tactical controls herself, firing with TRAKs and Angelfire Turrets. The Dreadnaught responded with repulsor beams and lysew fire. Dimly she was aware of the proximity sensor wailing; then the weapons simply stopped firing, enveloping the ship in eerie silence. Grabbing the buzzing comms unit, her XO spoke a hasty conversation with whoever was on the other end; Raven siezed the unit from him. "Who the h**l is messing with my ship?" The voice which replied was Saraine's. "Raven, I've used the Seraphim override codes to lock down your ship. You told me that this vendetta would not affect your work!" "Leave me be, Saraine. I am cleansing the void of a genocidal maniac!" "Raven, I have spoken to Mamajama." Saraine replied softly. "And your assistant, Raiessa. Both of you have nightmares- so do I. But we cannot allow our nightmares of the bloodstained past to taint the present!" "Then make your peace with Benden." That got Saraine off balance; he hesitated before continuing. " Benden is the real megalomaniac here, Raven. It was him that ordered the Warships to attack; he is the threat, not Mamajama. Raven, I'm relieving you of command indefinitely."
Her XO grabbed her wrist, twisting it behind her back. "I'm sorry, Sir, but you've got to come with me. Saraine said so." Numb in mind as well as arm, Raven let him lead her back to her quarters. Flopping down bonelessly onto the couch, she heard the lock activate, then the hum of an external pressure door sliding shut. Saraine had locked her in her room, like a small child.
The XO returned to the bridge, where the communication with Saraine was now on the main screen. "You." Saraine said. "What's your name?" "K'res, Sir." he replied, saluting. "Well, K'res, you did well. Assume command of the Shadow Angel until further notice; you will join Raven's scientific assistant, Raiessa, in controlling Raven's duties. Congratulations, Seraphim K'res." "Thankyou, Sir." K'res replied. "We are equal now, K'res; call me Saraine." "Yes, Si- Saraine." "Good. Now, take the Angel's Shadow back to Tollb, and see that Raven is transferred to her quarters there; I've contacted Raiessa, who will make sure they are secure." "Of course, Saraine." K'res replied, stepping up to the command dais.
Saraine closed the channel, then opened a channel to the Foster's Revenge. "I apologise about that fiasco, friend Mamajama." he said. "If you'll follow the Fallen Angel back to Gadzair, we can talk further aboard Angel's Lair."

"Good to see you, Yakuza. How have you been?" Redchigh doesn't wait for an answer. "I think you know why I called you here. You know about the alien scouts. We've managed to contact them, and they replied, however I want to talk to you before I give them too much information. We tried to hide them from the public, but word's gotten out. The concensus is almost equally split among a total trech trade with the aliens or to blow them out of the sky. Since you were on Council station and survived, and since you've been my friend and helped me kick Skradz'Na out of office, Im going to trust your opinion. Do you think these aliens are linked to the Gadzair, or even the Acarra I've heard you mention?" REDchigh adds one more thing on a side note.. "If you say they're linked, I wont hesistate to order the military to fire on the scout." ----------- The Azdgari reply to the scouts.. The alien scouts all paused and looked at Angel's Lair in the Gadzair system. Finally, the rest resumed their course, and the first scout sent out an indecipherable signal, then a readable one....
Tell us about your galaxy...
----------------
In Himgro, suddenly, twenty-five more alien scouts suddenly appeared out of nowhere, swarmed around the system in a sort of distorted circular pattern. The aliens did not respond to hails for over 15 minutes, when finally they sent ten or more undecipherable messages, and finally a clear one...
Tell us about your race and your history...
The aliens replied to the Azdgari with a second message...
That is not enough... Tell us more...
"Dangit!" Varin Dalath Junor muttered as he looked at the sensor readings. He turned to Third General Lhevak. "My lord, I am detecting an unusual reading from subject 5-1-A. He may be trying to tell the Azdgari leader about us!"
"Increase psi field strength. Paladin Thekor, you must hurry," Lhevak responded, slowly pacing the bridge, his blue eyes glowing in the darkness.
After a moment, there came a voice over the com system. "This is Thekor; the subject has been neutralized. He will not reveal us."
Yakuza started to speak, but suddenly he grimmaced and looked down. "What is it?" Redchigh asked.
"Nothing... Just a headache..." Yakuza responded slowly, then looked back at Redchigh. "Anyway... No, I don't think they're the Acarra, if the Acarra even exist, and though they may be related to the Gadzair, I doubt it. They're most probably just some race from either the Ji or Proxima Nebulas just coming out for a visit. As for their mysterious nature, maybe it's just the way their race acts. I say we wait to find out more."

Himgro
Mamajama stayed in the Himgro system long enough to see that the Admiral's orders were carried out. With the annoying scouts still criss-crossing the system, the planet was blockaded by every Warship and military ship available, and a com satellite was busily droning out Miranu history. Then she gave the order to jump to the Adzgari system, to keep her rendezvous with Saraine. "I'll be back, as soon as I've taken care of this business," she promised.
Gadzair Shocked and saddened, but only slightly damaged by Raven's abortive attack on her ship, Mamajama soberly followed Saraine into the Angel's Lair. After docking, she gratefully accepted a steaming cup of Ragni Triflower Tea, and relaxed in her chair. "How's Raven?" she asked. "And, I noticed that you have some of those pesky scouts in your system, too. The Admiral is cautiously meeting their demands, and so far they only seem to want information. Has that been your experience here?"

Himgro System
The aliens said nothing for some time as they slowly recieved the historical data from the Miranu, and they continued to busily move about the system, scanning whatever they could.
Finally, they responded with another message...
We are the Attar... We come from a blue nebula...
OOC: Just a note, the aliens may or may not be telling the truth. Ask more questions, or trust them.
Saraine grimaced over his cup of tea, and replied. "Unfortunately the officer I left in charge here blabbed his head off to the aliens- personally I can't trust them; I don't know where they come from or what they are. They've only issued requests for information so far. As for Raven, I had her assistant, Raiessa, make sure her quarters on Tollb are secure... and remove anything sharp. Right now I really don't know what she's going to do next, so we have her on 32-hour observation." He waved towards a small screen linked to security cameras on Tollb; Raven appeared to be sitting in her armchair next to the panoramic windows overlooking Tollb, a book in her hands. "She seems fine enough right now." Mamajama observed. "Yes." Saraine replied, voice tinged with sadness, "But I just can't trust her now." Somewhere in Saraine's office a communit buzzed; sweeping the paperwork to one side, Saraine uncovered the little unit. "Yes? Can it wait?" Scowling at the unit, Saraine continued. "It is? Good. Send the data up to me soonish. Ciao." "A little project completed." Saraine explained to Mamajama. "We're refitting a Zidagar Phased Beam- now it runs on positrons, and does more damage, although it's heavier. I'd be happy to give you- but not the Miranu- the design."

While Espilot and Z'tar were waiting for the scientists, they received the Seraphim's reply. "Positrons eh? That would make the beam more powerful, but the cannon would be somewhat heavier, correct?" "Yes, Admiral." "Well, I might as well tell them why we need the designs. And I'll have to tell you and the researchers."
<Message to the Seraphim (Saraine, Rasael, Raven)> <From Zidigar Admiral Espilot> <encryption code NDE9K0 1st Priority> We know that with your new variant of the Phased Disruption Beam the weapon would be more powerful, but somewhat heavier, which would reduce the mobility of any ship it's mounted on. As you know, many of our scientists specialize in mass reduction of items, which would, no doubt, come in very handy with your new beamers. As for the blueprints, we don't require them for reproduction of your ships, but I would prefer to discuss the reason in person with the Seraphim. I will meet you in Gadzair on the Angel's Lair, on your own 'turf', so as to defuse any doubts of trustworthiness. This will, of course, require us to open one of our inhibitors, so you must make sure there are no Azdgari ships in your system. I will try to get there as soon as possible.
Espilot <Message End>
As the message was just being sent, a transmission came from the Terapin system over the long-range com. "Admiral, this is Sergeant Tanse. There's an unidentified craft that's just hypered in! All inhibitors are up and running at full capacity, and it's certainly not one of our ships, and it's design is unlike anything the Azdgari or Igadzra would make. Our scanners can't penetrate the hull, and it's shown maneuverability outdoing that of even an Azdara. Do we fire, or send a transmission?" Espilot looked at Z'tar, and he shrugged. "Send them a transmission. Tell them that we won't harm them, but will defend ourselves if nescessary." "Sir!" Just then seven Zidigar entered the room, wearing labcoats of some sort, but one in particular had a small badge on his; it was made in the shape of a yellow star, with rings depicted around it so that they crossed in the center of the star. He said quickly "Sir, before we start, I would like to say that the Star Shield is finished. We will be testing the prototype soon." "Excellent, Kenel. He would get his scientists working on it. since it's such a simple idea, it wont take long to put into effect.. the only problem is the source of diamonds...

-------------------------- ** Independent**
After several independent planets were scanned by the alien scouts, an emergency meeting was called of all the planet leaders. This was a revolutionary event, never had all the leaders been in one place, peacefully. The meeting place was set..
All went as planned as the leaders filed into a large room, decorated with ancient skulls of forgotten origin, and everyone respected the skulls like anyone else would a flag. As the final leader sat down, a respected leader stood up. "We have fought for years against the renegades, azdgari, pirates, even amongst ourselves. Now, with the threat of an alien invasion brewing as advance scouts surf known territory, one question remains. How will we survive?" All leaders began talking amongst themselves and the chatter's volume went higher and higher... TSSEEWWWW.. The sound of a pistol goes off. The room hushes. "As I was saying, we all agree on one thing, if nothing else, we all want to survive. Although we have never found true peace, I believe it's only course is through uniting our worlds under a single leader....." He's cut off as the whole room erupts into chaos. "I'll never ally them!" "Die fiend, we'll never work together!" The acting president of the meeting's gun is noticed smoking. "Good, now that I have your attention, here's some information you might want." The leader presses a button, and a hologram of an alien scout appears in the center of the room. "As you can see, it's like nothing the azdgari, coalition, or miranu would make, and just by looks it appears to be highly advanced. These are no doubt simply advance scouts to gather information for an offensive...." The room remains quiet this time. "We MUST band together." all leaders slowly accept, and look around the room. A Tall leader stands up. "Who will be our leader?" The president of the meeting points to a military officer. "That, is Moses. He is a brilliant strategic mastermind, and orchestrated several offensives against the pirates and renegades years ago. He would be a good leader." All the leaders tensely accept, and hurry out of the room.

The alien scouts in Azdgari sent back a message to the Azdgari. "We wish only for knowledge... We do not wish for war... We have only recently come to this place, and it was after the energy burst from Kade that you speak of... We do not know who used it... We are not super-advanced... Do you want us to scout more and find out what happened to them?"
Meanwhile, Yakuza frowned. "What do you mean, Red? Of course I'm not holding stuff from you! You can trust me." He suddenly looked at his mobile communicator. "Sorry, I have to go. I'm needed in another meeting." And with that, Yakuza walked off...
The aliens responded to the Dark Angels after a long moment. "We want to make peace... We have many worlds in the Proxima Nebula.... We cannot stay in this system... We must leave... We will return... Soon..."
Feviry
Without warning, twenty some alien scouts appeared out of nowhere, running about the system, scanning everything and anything. They then moved off, with fifteen of them leaving, but five staying behind.
They moved around the system for a while longer, then finally sent a message to the Independents. "Hello... We are the Attar... We come from Proxima.... Proxima Nebula... We want peace... Tell us about yourselves..."
The alien scouts, in return, powered up some kind of weapon and also cloaked. They moved about the system swiftly, scanning for the Confederates, pinpointing the location of a few of their ships. Finally, they were satisfied and powered down their weapons (if it was even a weapon, for it could have just been shields), but remained cloaked.
