Sorry, Captain Carnotaur. I'll e-mail you sometime today. In the meanwhile.........

MOD: Sorry, Redeye, but post revoked. Firstly, Federation does not just admit people into the military like that. Second, Earth is part of the Voinian Empire. The headquarters for the Federation is on S-570. Thirdly, as I said before, the Milky Way is not the best place to be a captain like yourself. I would suggest the New Galaxy.
Also, before you start posting, please check the map and tech pages just to get a general idea of the setting for GH.
Thunder; ETA for tech research looks good.
Everyone; thanks for keeping GH going!

Though the Rebels were now in control of Titan, and the Isolationists had retreated, they had a new problem. The Loyalists, who had recovered from the initial blows, struck bad with ferocity. Their fleet of 50 ships entered Titan and immediately opened fire. However, the Rebels were ready, and soon the skies of Titan were ablaze...
In the Milky Way, the Federation gratefully escorted the Igadzra fleet to their long-lost homeworld. There, as reconstruction efforts on Igadzra continued, the Federation reported to SilverDragon that they could set up their base in the system. They also reported that Carnotaur was currently in Mirava, and so 3 Federate Light Cruisers would escort them to that location.

SilverDragon smiled. He was on Igadzra, his beautiful homeworld. He had met up with Commander Laiors, and together they numbered fourty ships, his ones not meant for military action.
After hearing word that Carnotaur was on Mira, SilverDragon made preparations for the journey there, setting off with the Federation escorts.
He was slightly annoyed to see that "light cruisers" were actually modified Igazras, and made a mental note to ask the Federation for a showdown - their "light cruiser" against one of the new IGNA Igazra (II)s, with turbophase and SAIs.
All fourty of the Igadzra vessels would go to Mira with SilverDragon, and Igadzra would later be restored to it's former glory - hopefully. However, the most important matter was convincing the Federation to help fund the IXD Project. Igadzra the planet, SilverDragon had decided, would play no part in the desperate anti-Edien plan known as the IXD, the Igadzra Xenologistical Defence.
All the vessels that were with him would return to their homelands, and forge new lives. Quite possibly, the IAC would spread to here soon enough, and to the government thought to be in the Ji Nebula called the "Igadzra Republic". When the Ediens would finally fall, all these corporations would probably collapse, and a new Igadzra would form, but for now, it would be like this.
Noting that Laior's ships were old Igazra (II)s, without turbophase or SAI weaponry, SilverDragon sent a message requesting that they stop over at a refitting base and the turbophase and SAI designs be implemented. Of course, this request also included that turbophase and SAI weaponry, should the Federation wish to have them, would be available. He did, however, ask that at no point these designs be given to other governments or any civilians.
From the public reports on Federation weaponry, somehow SilverDragon doubted this equipment would be useful to the Federation.

The Horoth fleet had returned to the Joint Station. After mining the space north of Horoth territory, it had spent time reinforcing existing minefields, as well as laying minefields in more out of the way areas, making it much harder for anything that survived the main minefields to get any further.
Now resupplied, the fleet engages in simulated battles, waiting to see if it will be sent against the Akrahd, or have to help defend the RA or even go up against the split Zidagar forces. Time would tell.
The fleets flagship, a refitted Silver Warship, upgraded massively from its original design, was kept busy going over known Akrahd forces and what else might have been built, and destroyed in the battle against the Igadzra. Plans to operate in RA space, as well as further away where also worked on. -------- In the Milky Way, the Horoth scientists helped the Sladerei with the Wormhole Generator.

Mark system
It was dead night in deep space with only Federation ships patroling the system, always on guard to defend against enemy incursion if need be. Mark had been taken back by a combined effort of the Kiran and Federation and it had been where Commander Hawk Kael had died in battle. Here was stationed the second largest Kiran fleet, helping to guard the station and system until it was ready to be returned to Igadzra hands. Yet the Kiran fleet would not be around to see that come to pass. In the dead of night, the Kiran ships nearly 280 in number, gathered into formation and with a silent signal moved out. They ignored any hails sent by allied ships or the station itself and continued. After a moment or so, countless jump points opened and the Kiran ships, all 280, disappered into slipstream without a trace left to mark their passage.
Within the next day or so after the Kiran ships at Mark had left, much of the other ships mysteriously did the same. Those ships that had survived the battle of Innarlin and Threefrog were likewise gone, answering not a hail made. The only ships that were to stay put were a hundered and twelve heavy warships guarding Racet Port in deep in Federation territory.
All the others gone without a trace to their destination...

"Hmm... lowered the frequency pretty far this time, that should do it..." the Kayan scientist murmured to himself. He fiddled with a couple instruments, then allowed polluted water taken from the seas of Mira to run through a tube and into a small filtration unit. The unit utilized combined Kayan and Federation technology - combining some of the most advanced water purification technology in both the old and new galaxies. The result was astonishing - after multiple failures the water finally ran clear from the other side of the filtration module. Tests confirmed that 99.4% of the toxins had been removed from the water - enough to satisfy the 99% threshold set by the Miranu monitoring the project. Excitedly, the scientist rushed off down the halls of the Obutes Science Complex, eager to inform his Federation collegues that the filter was finally working. It would require the mass production capabilities of the Federation, but soon, with the help of thousands of similar modules, the seas of Mira might soon be clear and blue once again.

When Psack reread the Horoth message and thought that the idea was pretty good. He submitted the data that the Horoth had sent to the whg council and their response was positive. The worm-hole generator would be duplicated, since it had been welded to the Savior's hull, and a new ship would be constructed to hold it. If possible, the hiding capacities of the could be used as well as the power and ship size of the Federation to house a new and more compact whg.
@ @ @ @ Message to Federation (highly encrypted) @ @ @ @
The Horoth Union have suggested to decrease the amount of mass to be transferred to the Andromeda galaxy. The way the Sladerei Solidarity sees that new way is to use the Federation Battlecruiser, which is by far less heavier than the S.S.S. Savior. It would be tweaked to housed the whg and be fitted with the some of the Horoth Union's stealth technology, if they accept. The miniaturisation thinking process of the whg has already started but will take a few weeks.
A similar message has been sent to the Horoth Union regarding these new developments.
Nelson Psack, at the head of the Sladerei Solidarity.

As you suggested, a smaller whg will be developed and fitted on a smaller ship, still capable enough to get hit hand fly back home. I have sent a requested to the Federation to use one of their Battlecruiser in order to house the new whg. It would be interresting to use your hidding capabilities to protect the ship against unknown treats. If I could suggest this tri-party exchange, one of our primary goal would be meet: to come back home after getting there.
It did not surprise any to undertake a new whg, the knowledge acquiered with the old generator was sufficient to miniaturised it. Some serious tests would have to be done about more about the way to compact energy into a smaller vessel. The whg-council had requested from the departement of energy a new kinetic generator that would be incorporated in the smaller ship. The needs were somewhat different: a much better cooling system, an higher level os security regarding the fluctuations that could interfear with the kinetical charges of the hydrogen and helium ions. In less than three weeks the new generator would be ready to be tested, word of honor from the director himselfe! He had have a project like this one since nine years, when he was a counceller for the whg's maintenance in the other galaxy. Some challenge never tieres a Sladerei.

Sladerei Action Outline:
- Investments in the eight cities to keep up with the sladereization of Grenits. - Life supporting independence of the Sladerei Solidarity (space-farms). - Development of a worm-hole (whg) with teh Horoth Union and the Federation. - Low, extremly low development of the military (1 ship per month).
Psack sat down and rested, the admirals were unhappy that he had asked for a Federation Battlecruiser instead of the Alliance Frigate, a ship that they could easily upgrade and fit with the new whg. He knew that it was more of a cause of pride than a cause of availability: ... Ťboys with toys.ť

The fleet of 120,000 ships above the Miranu Cluster jumped toward the vonians, around the cluster (sorry, in one of my last posts I said that they would be attack Mira, I meant Vonians). In the Holmm system, the ships arived and imeadiatly started firing. Ships went to the planet and started terrorising.

Message to: RMA of the Horoth From: REDchigh of the RA RMA, RA has been severely weakened. Not just our military, but our economy has been devastated. Even a simple pirate raid could finish the RA off for good. The RA has to spread. I know the RA doesn't have the military to protect any new colonies, but I fear that spreading is the only way for us to survive. The leaders of the RA are still trying to decide whether to build a bunch of stations within my existing borders, or to colonize other worlds. The stations could be armed and help defend planets, and the shipyards would also increase the navy significantly. Please give me your feedback, either choice will require your help. end
REDchigh relaxes and stares at the message. Operation soup is doing poorly. it is more difficult than first thought to clear the debri out of the space around Cetax, and much of Cetax is still burning, slowly but steadily depleting the oxygen level. thousands of marines have been converted to firefighters, but only time will tell whether the fire will be gotten under control. REDchigh looks to his viewscreen.. and imagines several rectangular stations, loaded with hundreds of SDM's, a few simple turrets, and lots and lots of shields.... ----------------------------------------------------- Operation: Soup Posts left: 3

MODERATION: Grundy, um, just not that in order to get to Holmm you'd have to go through a large Voinian defense perimeter (which includes Zanat and Tufel, but not Kitrak), and thus would have a lot of Voinian ships following you. Oh, and don't say I didn't tell you about this, because I have mentioned it quite a lot to you.

-To Sladerei- -From Horoth- If contact is successful with the Horosk, we would like to talk further about the wormhole generator, since we have a power souce in our capital system that would be capable of powering one. -Message Ends
In the Holmm system, the Edien Attack force leaped into the system, but strangely, they found no Voinian ships.
ŇThese Voinians are cowards!Ó mocked the Edien commander ŇAll ships, prepare to engage the planet! Once all planetary defenses are down, commence planetary bombardment!Ó
But suddenly, the entire Voinian fleet decloaked in the midst of the Edien attack force and open fire! The Edien fleet is thrown into chaos and started to disperse. The Voinians attack full force, guns ablaze. Some Edien ships escaped the battle and headed towards the planet.
However, a second Voinian force decloaked and eliminated the Edien vessels, and proceeded to engage the remaining Edien ships. But the Voinians were taking heavy casualties. But, suddenly, a Voinian Dreadnought that had been in a nearby system with its own small fleet (the V.E.S. Helldog to be exact) hypered in along with 20,000 more cruisers. Opening fire on enemy forces, the Helldog took down ship after ship.
Then 50,000 Voinians vessels hypered in from the two systems that the Ediens had to pass through to get to Holmm. They were expected by the Ediens, and thus didnŐt catch them off guard. However, this still didnŐt help the Ediens any, because the new reinforcements pummeled the Ediens, which took severe losses.
After several hours, the Edien forces were almost completely destroyed. About 15,000 damaged ships escaped, however. Only rubble remained of the once proud fleet...

(MESSAGE TO RMA AND HOROTH) (HIGH ENCRYPTION) (Sorry, but we will not hand over one of our battlecruisers to you. Besides, though we do agree that decreasing the actual mass of what goes through the wormhole is a good idea, the actual size of the ship matters in an opposite way. It would be impossible to fit the Wormhole Generator on a battlecruiser. This was the main reason that the Sladerei Supercruiser is so important; it's size allows it to house the massive generator. Sorry, but we can't allow it.) (END MESSAGE)

The Pirates were ready for the attack. Their target; Cetax. But this time it wouldn't be just a simple invasion; it would be a full fledged attempt to turn Cetax into a burning, smoking ruin.
The Pirates had assembled 230 some vessels, and, equipped with a special device, set off for Cetax. The device's name; the Sub-Space Inhibitor, a gift from the Akrahd in exchange for 15 million credits. The Pirates knew that the mines were there, so that was why they hadn't been able to attack. But now they finally could.
After activating the device, the Pirates set off for Cetax. However, problems soon arose. Several ships were destroyed by mines that happened to be unaffected by the inhibitor. In all 30 ships were destroyed, bringing the total down to 30. Lars, in a backup fleet in nearby system, made a note to update the technology and make it less unreliable.
The Pirates sped into Cetax, catching the RA off guard. Though the RA recovered easily from the initial shock and fought with intense ferocity, the Pirate fleet was simply too big for them. Fire streaked through space, obliterating ship after ship. After a relatively short battle, the RA had lost, and the Pirates were left with little damage.
The Pirates moved into position and began an orbital bombardment. Soon Cetax was a burning ruin, at least the colony areas, which were totally annihilated.
After making a small adjustment to the inhibitor, the Pirate fleet moved off to Rigel. Here, however, the RA were ready for the attack, and struck out with ferocity. Though they beat back the Pirates at first, soon the Pirates recovered and the Rigel system was shortly ablaze with gunfire...
Rigel sends messages to all nearby systemsand joint station as soon as the pirates jump in, and almost immediatly 25 RA ships jump in, and hold off the pirates- an hour later, when the RA ships are almost completely destroyed, the Horoth fleet based at joint station jumps in, loaded with mines. As soon as they enter realspace, the few outfitted mines are launched, and the momentum speeds them toward the pirates. The pirates try to evade the mines, but several ships are decimated, and a few smaller RA ships get damaged. The remaining RA ships, along with the horoth-upgraded silver warship, speed towards lars magna's ship and launch every SDM they have, targeted at the warship's engines. 20 more RA ships jump in, after launching from border systems, all 20 bent toward the destruction of Lars Magna's vessel. The RA and Horoth fight side-by-side, amidst the debri of the RA defence fleet, and the burnt out remains of 25 pirate vessels.
MOD: Edit your post or have it revoked, Red. This will be the LAST TIME I TALK ABOUT LOCATIONS OF MAIN PLAYERS, SO LISTEN CAREFULLY. Lars Magna is NOT in the battle, instead, he is waiting with another backup fleet a ways away.
The Pirates, though battered, fight on and charge the RA, blasting apart several Silver Warships. Consontrating most of their heavy weapons fire on the larger warships, meanwhile, beams of orange and red streak across space as the Pirates use the full force of dozens of Enhanced Thoron beams firing at once to blast apart the next wave of RA and Horoth ships, and then charge them, causing mass chaos...
the RA;Horoth and pirates charge time after time, destroying each other's ships. Soon, the Ra;Horoth reorganize, and engulf the pirates a few at a time. Pirates take heavy losses from the inferno of turret and missile fire. (i know it's short) Operation Soup ETC: 1 post (+ 2 recent attack, no real planetary bombardment)
However, the Pirates were ready for this, and pull back to regroup. At the same time, the backup fleet arrives (however, Lars Magna stays behind). With the new reinforcements. The Pirates then spread out and try to engulf the RA/Horoth fleet. Though they see this move, the RA can do nothing about it, because the Pirates move too quickly and soon entrap the enemy fleet. Charging in for the kill, however, the Pirates are easily repelled, but they attack again with extreme ferocity and destroy and damage dozens of ships.

With the battle in Holmm between the Ediens and the Voinians, the Federation fleet in Mirava was put on alert. Carnotaur hoped he didn't have to send out the fleet, but just in case, he wanted to be ready.
Meanwhile, however, SilverDragon was mysteriously stopped and brought aboard the Federation Battlecruiser. U.F.S. Wombat. There he was explained to about the new Federation project called "The Network" (introduced a while ago by Carnotaur to Rima and Thunder). He was then offered the opportunity to be hooked up to the network for a special meeting with Carnotaur.

In the last message that you sent, you mentionned that the Horoth had the capacity to supply enought power to travel to the Horoask. We would like to have more information about it in order to have more chances to go there. You also mentionned that it was in you capital planet, but since no jump gate is possible, the other end does not have one, could it be portable?
I understand that you would like to have the capacity to travel, but now the time is to discoverie. When the prototype will be ready, the first flight will be to Horath.
Horoth and the Sladerei didn't know that the Federation Battlecruiser was significantly smaller than the Savior. The researches done to miniaturize the whg were not to put aside, if fact it would be used to fit more energy capaciator into the Savior.
Psack was worried abou the fact that the Savior would have to leave the system during a long period, leaving with the space-farms shipyard and other installations that could not be brought down. The weekly Solidarity-council had decided to suspend the space-farm facilities during five weeks in order to transfert them into a small station. It would also serve has a small port for the freighters that had to make trips to the farms. The station would be quiet small, three hundred Sladerei would be able to live and work, while orbiting around Grenits. The productivity of this station would be smaller than the one abort the Savior. The multi-purpose docks would be haded in order to let it grow in the future.
Psack liked the wind on Grenits, he had never encounter places where the environment was so quiet, abort the Savior, there was a constant noise of aeration, cleaning and everything. Now he could think in peace about the future of the Solidarity.
*** MESSAGE TO THE HOROTH AND THE RENEGADE ALLIANCE*** *** Point of origin - South Tip Station, Office of Militia Commander Lasin*** Encrtyption active
This is Kayan Militia Commander Lasin speaking on behalf of the Kayan Senate and the Kayan people as a whole. We are saddened to hear of the destruction of the colonies on Cetax, and of the Pirates new offensive. Though as a race we are opposed to the wars that rage in this galaxy, we will not stand by while our friends are subjected to genocide. We have launched a fleet of 50 gunships and 30 escorting Aradas and Fireflies to defend the RA and Horoth against any renegade incursions, and to aid in the rebuilding effort at Cetax. Keep in mind their orders are to defend RA and Horoth space, not to attack Pirate bases.
Also, our scientists are confused as to how the pirate vessels were able to penetrate the minefields set up by our races months ago. Four of our top scientists in the field have been dispatched to the joint station in an effort to help determine how they made it through, and how the mines can be improved to stop them. If there is any further assistance you need, don't hesitate to send me a message. Lasin out.
*** END MESSAGE***
After the message had been confirmed sent, Lasin checked the status of the fleet sent to aid th RA and Horoth - so far things were going well - the fleet was passing the joint station and proceeding toward RA space. Lasin called up a comm channel to the construction branch of the Militia, and requested to speak with the head of the branch. "I assume you've heard of the attack on Cetax," he said.
"Yes, Commander, it's quite a tragedy."
"Well, I want you to increase our military output - more gunships and aradas to be exact. Our best defense is to be well prepared when and if the Pirates threaten us."
"Yes, sir."
His business done for now, Lasin sat back in his chair. "It's gonna be a long day..."
