The IFF Kryptauros zipped through (whatever you want to call the system SE of Akrahd's Main Planet). They slowed after the hyperspace jump preparing to jump again to NSI-482. They noticed a few pirate ships roaming around and chasing after an Akrahd Heavy Fighter. Kryptauros commed the lead pirate. "Hey leave him alone or you'll never wished you lived." "What are ye goin' to doos about it?" "This you fat pansy!" Kryptauros hit the Akrahd Missle launcher button and sent racing towards the unsuspecting pirate. "I said what are ye goin' to d-------arghhhh." The missle impacted the pirate ship and sent him tubbling in space. "I'll be nice to you and only torture ye and your prick of some friends." The vessel turn about getting aligned with the fleet when it finally saw them. "Run boys! Get outuv here!" "Too late......you screwed around with the wrong people. Everybody on the pirate vessels. Make sure they don't live." The battle that ensued (sp?) was a rather small one and a quick death came to them. Plasma Cannons and Flax Plasma Cannons flew everywhere towards the small fleet. The ships attempted to hyperspace out but they were being tossed around like grasshoppers in a beer bottle when you throw it really high. Soon there shields failed and armor was deteriorating (sp?) quickly. Soon the engines went offline then the hyperspace drive. Then a few hit the crew deck and that exploded. "Hold your fire!" Kryptauros yelled over the comm,"Watch this." Kryptauros speed up his ship towards where the crew deck had exploded. He stared for a few seconds and then charged up his Plasma Beam. He could see that the crew were attemping to get in an escape pod. The lead captian looked out the destroyed crew deck and saw the IFF Kryptauros staring down with a charged beam aiming right at him......the following then happened. BazzzzooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOkazowndabakaboooooooomcrashbreakscreamandalotofotherstuffzooooowup! The ship was quickly destroyed and Kryptauros took his position and then remebered something while destroying the ship. It had quite weak armor. He sent a long range message to Menslie. *To: Menslie *From: IFF Kryptauros *Long Range *I am here in the system SE or our home planet. While I was attacking a small pirate vessel I noticed that it had weak armor. I want to see how we can research a higher level armor and have it be light. Also team up with Galahad if he is still alive and see what your minds can come up with. *Done

The Revearence jumped from slipstream, her enginees hot. The Crusader didn't jump with the Zidara, having stopped off on a world to resuply. Aboard Sisay sat in his command chair, his face filled with anixtey. The captain ordered the ship to hold some distance from the world and ordered a fighter be ready. Sisay knew it was time for the Kiran to be fully known.
He hit his command console and opened a link to the planet. "Kayia Control, this is Captain Sisay of the Revearence. I have something to deliver to the President and those gathered here. I'll be coming down in a fighter. ETA 20 minutes at most."
The response came loud and clear. "Captain, we read you loud and clear. Welcome to Kayia, sir. We'll have a pad cleared for you." The link was terminated soon after that. Sisay nodded to his first officer and stood up, walking off the bridge.
For the last few decades, Sisay had been Captain of this vessel and as he walked down the corridors and, memories flooded back. This ship had seen host to marrigaes, births, and ulugies. Sisay himself had been maried aboard this ship, yet he didn't know if his family had made it to the Magellian galaxy or if they had perished. The turbolift he had entered opened up to reveal the docking bay. Three Zidara fighters were docked, and one was ready to launch. Sisay entered and minutes later the fighter burst down into the space beyond the Revearence.
The fighter flew through atmosphere and came zooming down accross the land until it reached the capital city. The fighter landed and Sisay exited, heading off to find Carnotaur. He had much to do...

Rima sighed at hearing about there old worlds. So they had been lost. There old home uninhabitale. She fought back her emotions at hearing this. She fept the tears from her eyes. She had been happy to be home but hearing Mira was a wasteland made her emotions void.
Anger swelled up and she fought it down. The Ediens were not to be struck out in pure anger. " What about the Ediens? How many ships do they have here? Where are there bases?" She made her voice calm and slightly curious though a bit of anger did seep into her questions. She calmed herself and took a mental tally of her ships. 7 Crescent Warships, 6 Miranu Gunships, 6 Lazira's, 5 arada's, she smiled at the last ship which everyone had insisted on they brought back even if it had to stay in a safe zone. It was sillly and not fit to go into war but her people insisted that the fleet have 1 Miranu Heavy Freighter. She was calmed down now and was even smiling.

Carnotaur felt sorry for Rima. She had come back to this galaxy hoping that her worlds had somehow been spared, but instead she came back to the news that the Miranu coreworlds were devastated and probably beyond repair.
Carnotaur knew somewhat how she felt. His homeland, Azdgari space, had also been ravaged, but in a different way. Though their had been devastated, the damage had been less severe, and instead of the Ediens using it as a dump, they used it as the center of their evil offensive against this galaxy.
Carnotaur drew himself away from his thoughts to answer Rima's questions. "We've counted at least over 2 million vessels, but we've destroyed about 300,000 of them. However, the Ediens could easily send over 1 million more vessels over here without warning. They have at least 50 bases in the new galaxy, most of them with defense fleets in the thousands of ships. The most heavily guarded sectors are the Northern Crescent (around the North Tip Asteroid Belt) and Azdgari space which serves as their HQ for this galaxy. The Azdgari sector is also used to defend the jumpgates that the Ediens have in place to bring ships in. We aren't sure how many they have.
"As for our fleets, the Voinians currently have about 600,000 vessels. We have about the same amount."
grunadulater was talking to Vinfar agian. "i want you to send over every single last avalible ship to this galexy.they are starting to actually beat us.how many can you send." "well we have anout 1M working on the rarkyl problem so we could get about 1.7 M over there in 4 days if really needed." "believe me, they are very needed." grunadulater was now talking to the shipyards commander in his galexy. "from now on, send all ships you make to the border lines unless there is someone to chase." --------------- dreadnaught=15 posts stations=5 posts vengence=6 posts
Sisay walked down the hall to the room where he had been directed. To say he was nervous would be dead wrong; the captain was quite calm. There would be time for personal business later. Nearly seven years prior, Sisay had been a defender of his homeworld, although his service to the Kiran was unquestionable; yet he fought with great fireceness on the border of Miranu space, just another captain doing his job. Since Mira's fall, he had struck at those who had brought about its end.
As he looked into the room, he saw some people who had become legend among the Kiran, though they had never known it. He entered the room and bowed politely. "Please forgive me for this interuption, my good people." He turned to the President and said, "Mr. President, I've come on behalf of the Kiran to ask attendacne to this meeting, though it may be personal. I may have met you over screen, but allow me to introduce myself in a fashion; I'm Captain Sisay of the Revearence. My concern is how Hawk Kael's people, the Kisani have fared over the years."
A bit of emotion came with his next question. "Also, I would ask something of a personal nature. I want to know if my wife and daughter are still alive or if they died in the assault against Mira."
Aboard the RA - Horoth - Kayan joint station, two Kayan scientists relayed a quick message to Horoth command - they had completeed the work on upgrading the Horoth stealth field using Kayan sensor technology. It was ready to be included in the new arada design.
---
On Kayia, Thunder spoke up. "The reason you haven't been able to contact the refugees in the nebula is the extreme interference present in the Ji Nebula. Our sensors, which have been significantly improved since we last met, would probably be able to cut through. Plus, our new light fighter, the Kayan Firefly, would easily be able to outrun any pursuing Edien ships that we might meet near the border. We several of these fighters at our disposal - there are three carried aboard each of our gunships. If you would provide the escort to the northwest corner of Voinian space, we'd be happy to finish the job and enter the depths of the nebula, and bring back a message from the refugees there and report on their current condition."
Thunder then noticed Rima, obviously deeply disappointed by the news that the Miranu core worlds had been devisated. He walked over to her. "I know things look bleak," he said to her, "but all is not lost. We have limited terraforming ability, and if we are ever able to drive the Ediens from our galaxy, we will all do what we can to help rebuild the Miranu worlds."

A few days later... A small Freightor convoy is passing through the NSI-0002 system when a Pirate fleet comes out of nowhere and descends onto the Couriers. The Pirates fire their turrets and SAD's, but then, the the pirate's suprise, the Couriers fire masses of glimmer missiles and a barrage of Silver turrets in return, and suddenly 10 aradas and a Silverwarship warp into the system, and immediately engage the pirates. Soon, the pirate ships are either destroyed or retreated, leaving an intact, disabled lazira behind. The couriers empty their cargo of marines into the disabled vessel, and capture the pirates alive, and also tow the Lazira back to the homeward system to study it's computer memory, and also repair to infiltrate the pirates.

OOC: Just remember, Thunder, that terraforming is different from the total reclamation of an entire planet, including all the water, and putting more lifeforms back on. Not to mention Leiton, which has had it's atmosphere burned off.
Thunder, also note that Edien Interceptors far outmaneuver the Kayan Firefly, and they also have a faster hyperspace engine than you do. However, the Ediens would be surprised to see the Firefly since they've never seen it before, and thus you would be able to escape.
------------
Carnotaur turned to Thunder. "The Ediens aren't the only problem; the Pirates have infested the lower portion of the Ji Nebula so much so that we can't send anything up there. Usually we would be able to however, with the Edien threat and all, we can't spare anyone for very long. There are also Edien mines in the middle portion left over from when the Ediens tried to capture the Ji Nebula. Though there aren't many, we've seemed to have some bad luck and the mines always seemed to hit us."
Then Carnotaur turned to Rima and put his arm around her. "Don't worry about Miranu space. Though it may take a while and a lot of effort, we'll get at least Mira fixed up. No matter how long it takes or what we have to do to get it done."
grunadulater flew through the igadzra system in the dark voyager when suddenly, he saw a mine on the screen wasnt energiesed.an intorcepter flew right past it and nothing happened.grunadulater flew the dark voyager 2 and got the bomb in the fighter bay.he flew back to the notil system to anylize the mine. ----------- 15 hours later, the scientists called grunadulater. "sir, this mine could be the key to our problems.we can crack it in about 3 weeks(5 posts) and then attach it to all new ships witch would take about 2 week(3 posts)." "then do that." ---------- dreadnaught=14 posts stations=4 posts vengence=5 posts anti mine installation=8 posts ------------------ I bet there darn tasty to.
Rima nods in agreement and smiles at Carnotaur and Thunder. "Thanks guys. I'm sure that with a little effort we can have Mira back to a mostly habitable status in no time." Or perhaps more than a little time. But they would get Mira back! "So the Ediens outnumber us do they. Well they seem used to winning. I think perhaps we should give them a surprise and have them lose a bit. It might do them good." She manages to grin. A very big surprise that would be. " A nice healthy little surprise." Then she remembered the ship design. Perhaps when her people were done fixing all the problems in the design they could build some here? Rima reminded herself to ask about that later.
"I'm truly impressed by the speed you say these Edien Interceptors have," Thunder said. "They outmaneuver our Fireflies by at least 20%! And thought we would probably be able to maneuver around our mines, it wouldn't be tactically sound to waste our element of surprise to try and contact the refugees within the Ji Nebula. No doubt the Kayans there have set up a minefield similar to those we used during the renegade wars, and no doubt the Igadzra have assembled a formidable space fleet. There's only one hyperspace entrance to the F-25 system, so they should have a major advantage there. I suggest we wait to contact the Ji Nebula refugees until later.
Right now, the Ediens have no idea we are here. As far as they know, all our races are either extinct or in hiding. The Federation has numerous shipbuilding facilities, and we have new ships that the Ediens have never seen before. Combine those two factors and we could give them the kind of "healthy surprise" Rima suggested."
Suddenly, a scientist came running into the room. "Prime Minister," she said, running up to Thunder, "We've just completed our scans of the rift zone on this side. Our projections show something disturbing - there won't be another subspace convergence on this side for at least a month and a half. It looks like we'll be on this side of the rift for quite a while."
"Thanks for the report, Lieutenant," Thunder said. He then turned to Carnotaur. "I know you sent a message to us through the gate. Would it be possible to send another report back to the other side, telling the New Galaxy when we might be able to re-open the gate from this side?"
Hawk awoke, his vision blury. All around him sparks flew as the Kisani sat up. Was this the Beyond? Or was he trapped in some sort of limbo. As his eyes focused, Hawk saw the slipfighter's cockpit some meters away. All around him sparks flew from one busted console or another. Wearily he stood up. Other then some cuts and bruises he was fine.
He made his way to the cockpit, expecting to see the ship floating, lost in slipstream. No ship lost in hyperspace or slipstream ever saw realspace again. If one's ship didn't run out of power, then they would live their lives in hyperspace. Slipstream caused insanty to those who stayed in for more then three years.
What Hawk saw shocked him. He was in realspace, facing empty space. He must have been thrusted back to known space, some distance from the North Tip. Perhaps Voinain space.
Wearily he tapped the air above him. For a second the light display didn't come, then it flared into veiw, showing data on damaged systems. The slipstream drive was damaged almost beyond repair and four of the six quantum cannons had been knocked offline. SAE and missile launchers were damaged as well as inship ramscoops. Everything else worked.
With a heavy sigh, Hawk said, "Saer, what is our location and star. And are we near any inhabited planet sympatheic to the Voinian Empire or Federation."
The computer's voice was staticy for a moment, then it solified. "Our location is unknown, Captain Kael. The star we are in is unknown. Locating through older charts. System found. Do you wish to know?" Hawk gave his answer and the computer continued. "The star is Kisa. There are five inhabited planets, around which orbit three habital moons each. All planets and moons bear close resemblance to Kisal. The five worlds are three times as large as Earth and four bear 2G gravity wells. The third world bears a well to that of Kisal. It appears, Captain, that our quest is complete."
Hawk uttered a prayer to the Fates and quickly tapped the display, bringing the slipfighter around 360 degrees. What he saw made him weep. There stood a planet, Kisan, planet of legend. He had made it. The display came to and showed many ships about the system, no signs of life aboard, but appearing operational, if silent. Hawk knealt down on his knees and shouted out his thanks to the Fates. The Milky Way fianlly had a chance to fight back with strenght...
MOD: Grundulator, you are liking I'm not loosing my temper at you this time. First, you would need a rather large explosion in sub-space, which would probably be caused by a massive explosion of 5 or more Edien battlecruisers simoltaneously.
Secondly, even if you did disable a mine, it would self-destruct immediately. However, I guess you can have it, BUT YOU CANNOT RESEARCH AN ANTI-MINE DEVICE IN JUST 15 HOURS!!! Make it 5 posts.
-----------
Carnotaur thought for a moment. "I suppose so. Thunder, you take all the designs and technologies that you have brought with you to the tech lab aboard South Tip Station II, which houses a large research lab as well as the transmitter which we used to send a message to you."

Message to:Kayan Command & RA HQ The enhanced Arada is now complete. Production has begun, but missle loads will not be possible until the new Glimmer missle is complete. Versions with the enhanced stealth field, 2 Sliver turrets, and a repulsor beam as standard are being constucted, with room being left for missle launchers and missles. A third of all the ships built have a thoron beam on. A sixth built have anti-plasma blasters built, in, but with reduced room for a missle load. A third built will have the ship version of our mines onboard when they are ready. The last sixth built will have a larger missle load.
Plans are availible at the join station.
Refitting of all ships will be finished soon, with enhanced stealth fields fitted. ------------- In the EVO galaxy: Speaking to Carnotaur, the Horoth reprentitive asks how they can help: "We have been informed that you use mines to protect your space. We would be able to help you enhance your mines to use kinetic energy, which we have learnt how to control. The explosive radius can be altered, as can the direction the force goes in. This allows them to literally punch holes through bigger ships. Sorry Grundulater, Haven't been able to spend a lot of time online lately. You're doing okay in command, just try not to anger Carnotaur too much. -------------------- After having spent over a week inspecting the Edien defenses against the Rarkyl attacks with General Kli'cyeg, Emperor Rigadaz was in no mood to be hounded with a constant wave of messages. His communications device had had several problems during the short week, and when he finally returned to Edien Prime, he found that the situation in the Milky Way had gone from marginally under control to a scene complete chaos.
Admiral Ly'rak was currently in the Azdgari system, along with Tach'usd. Both were now preparing for their missions into enemy territory. Unfortunately several systems in the former Igadzra area were conquerored by the Federation, not to mention that the Voinians had successfully attacked several Edien systems south of Miranu. Things were not looking up in the new galaxy, and something needed to be done about it.
With the Dreadnought research nearing it's halfway point, and new designs and more stations being constructed, Edien funds were starting to dwindle. Emperor Rigadaz realized that things were not proceeding well as of lately. The Federation and Voinians needed to learn the folly of attacking Edien space. ĀĀĀĀĀĀĀĀĀĀĀĀĀĀĀĀĀĀ "All systems are reporting ready, Admiral," the Weapons officer of the Preeminent informed Ly'rak. "Admiral Tach'usd and her team have entered hyperspace and their mission has begun."
"Very well, Ensign. We should begin ours as well. Begin the journey to the Voinian controlled Kelmoan system now.
