You should get 1.0.2. Many of the plugins will act weird with 1.0.1

The recruitment mission for the Zachit starts can be gotten at Outpost Zachit, not Hizdriar (that would be the NT Gade string). Make sure you have a deadly combat rating or better.

After the recruitment, keep checking Outpost Zachit's bar and you'll be able to continue the Zachit string. Note that there may be a specific legal rating required (I'm not sure), so if you're not getting it fly around blowing up Renegades for awile. Once you start the string, the Gunship is made available 2 or 3 missions in.

As for 1.0.1 vs. 1.0.2, the only real difference is that in 1.0.2 the enemy AI is a lot stronger.....a lot.

And, as Opalius said, a lot of plugs require 1.0.2 to work properly.

As for the Miran Gunship, you'd be much, much better off paying an extra million for a Lizara. It's faster and more manuverable, much tougher, and has almost as much weapon space. Although the Miran Gunship does have an awesome graphic... especially with MAGMA.

Wait a second...

1.0.2 also gives the AI ships infinite afterburner, of course, which makes the Attack The Rock mission (the finale of the Miranu Gunship missions) very hard, getting swamped by 30 odd Crescent Fighters is not too fun, and the mission is very hard in most ships - probably Voinian ones would be the best bet :).

But Voinian ships have slow guns and are really slow which would still mean getting wasted by ultrafast fighters.

So? Buy phase turrets. And I completed the mission in a neutron turret equipped UE cruiser with no diffuculty.

I see. I was taking about unupgraded Voinian ships.

Yeah it should be fine with Phase or Neutron Turrets, but I did manage to fail that mission a few times in a well souped-up Igazra. Also, a Cloaking Device really helps, but it's hard to still have one when you get too that point :).

The cloaking device would knock out all shields which may not be a good thing if you have a low armor ship.

Well in that mission your shields go pretty quickly to the CFs anyway, and as you will almost certainly have Dospect Armour on your ship at that point, the cloak will do wonders, allowing your armour to recharge, and you to get further away from the enemy.
