No, the Indenpent are the powerful alien race located south of UE space dedicated to killing Renegades in the plug-in: Indenpent Skies.
Personally, bad spelling doesn't bother me all that much. Can people be bothered to always proof-read their work? OK, yes, spelling "mean" M-E-E-N does make your teeth grind, but really...

Hmm, where have I seen this idea before ... At least you could have done it right , and copied forge's original post (it was him, right, about two months ago?) to get the spellings right. Probably would've been a better idea ...

I don't mean to pick on you, but don't you mean "People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones"?
To whom it may concern
I realize this thread was immature, and irresponsible, It was a joke that didn't go too well. I know it gets on people's nerves when people can't spell, but Some newbies come, and ask questions, and we can't understand a word they say! Not the one's I quoted tho, and I edited them out. I apologize, I was <gasp>.. wrong... Any newbies (or anyone) I offended, it was not meant to be offensive, Sorry.

PS. Martin: Sorry about the bad mood.

No... it all comes from an event many years in Earth's path, where the chief of an African tribe was about to be visited by a famous English explorer. The chief owned a magnificant throne, detailed with gold and diamonds, which were abundant in the region.
The chief's advisors knew the ways of the greedy British, and told him that if the white men got to see his throne, they would certainly come back with soldiers, to seize it and haul it away back to England, as a gift for Queen Victoria. The chief decided to hide his throne, and this was done by tying a rope around it and hauling it up into the rafters of his great hut.
The explorer's party visited the chief, and feasted with him. They never thought to look upwards, and so completely failed to notice the magnificent throne. All went well until the end of the evening... unfortunately, the hut was only made from sticks and grass; not the best building materials. With a creak, a groan and a snapping sound, the roof of the hut collapsed. The throne itself landed right on top of the chief, killing him instantly. (The explorers carted it off to England later.)
And the moral of this story is, of course... People who live in grass houses shouldn't stow thrones.
