Silver Dragon(Pladin, Esponer, and Sylver :)), you still are a newbie, you have to hang around the boards for 5 or 6 months, but thats just my opinion.

I don't know about that one; Cap'n Skyblade's not considered much of a newbie, and neither are people like Starkiller and Starstrafer. It's more of a state of mind than number of posts or something like that. When you have to look at someone's registration date to see how new they are, that means they aren't a newbie any longer. For you, Titan, until recently, your posts still had a newbie feel about them, although you'd been around for much longer than some other people I considered regulars. It's just a level of maturity thing, I think.

Hmmm...... I don't really like that. I have nearly 1000 posts with my different names, a karma raise, and know most people around here. The only person who I didn't know until recently was Oedipus, and other than that I know most people.
I know many people's personality, and I don't ask any stupid questions any longer. If I post it's mainly to answer questions (or on bars or webstories, I admit) and I like to think people around here know me.
Now, most of those points don't count, especially the first, but come to think of it, karma is a very good way to look at whether or not someone is a newbie.
So, people like OctoberFost and Begetimoke are the real "oldies", and Captain Skyblade is perhaps slightly more a "newbie", despite his post rate.

I guess I agree, I don't consider those people newbies. I thought I stoped acting like a newbie long ago.
P.S Who would have thought yelling death to Andrew would get you a karma point.

oooops i broke my own rule... changed the topic... oh well.....

Bunches of crap Titan posts in EVBB. Annoying it can be. Fun it can be also. Sometimes insightful Titan can be.

Actually, I got the karma point for an unrelated joke.
I'm not sure if thats a compliment or an insult.
Everybody is a newbie in one way or another. I really doubt that any one person here can be tops above everybody else in everything.
And for some reason my screen looks like it's on the ceiling right now, this is very weird.

What? Go read some of my posts on other boards. I don't spam more than anyone else does. Likely you have me confused with some other people that started posting around the same time I did -- since I really started to get involved in the boards last month.

I was just picking a name, Starkiller. Sorry, but I didn't mean anything. I've never seen you spam, or doubt you ever would. But it was the first name to come to my head, and because it's made up it (hopefully) won't upset anyone.

Oh... righty then. Sorry... everyone does spam a bit. Knowing where to draw the line is the difference between a spammer and a non-spammer.

Cool. I suspected I had gotten enough people to like or hate me by now to shed my newbie status, but thanks for backing me up. And I certainly don't consider Captain Skyblade or SK newbies, I think that, yes, it does depend on the person.

Hmmm. thats the best definition i've heard. I'll go by that. Do ya'll consider me well known? I know Oedipus is a newbie, but i still think this is a good definition. Also, whoever said when you stop asking and start answering is a big turning point, i think...

I think you're name is known by all of the moderators for some rather odd reason...

What odd reason?! hmmmm.... I don't do THAT much... and most people don't know about my Pax station bar.... hmm i dunno- WHY U SAY THAT. If im that well known, get a mod to change my karma! i want different karma. i hate being indifferent! there i go changing the subject again.... maybe that why,, <sigh>

:sigh: One thing you might do well to remember -- caps and the use of "u" for "you" always marks you as a sure newbie, and possibly even a permanent lamer. (And if you have to ask what that means, I pity you.)

:sigh: Don't ask for karma, thats another sign that your a newbie.
------------------ Bye Jude. In my opinion you were the best mod of the boards. I'll miss you.

I was referring to Pax Station and I was sort of being sarcastic. And those others are right: "u" and asking for karma generally aren't good ways to signify whatever it is (for lack of a better term, I'm tired).
I say, you're not a newbie anymore when you have a nickname under your member name
(Although this makes me a really big newbie...)
