Last night I was playing EVO on my powerbook and was aiding the Emalgha by getting the UE to join forces with them. I had already become a member of the UE Cargo mission group and was landing on Pax to fuel up. I went to the space bar and the shady Voinian talked to me :eek: ! I thought this was not possible if you did anything for the UE but obviously it is now because it worked. Just wanted to know if this happened to anyone else because everyone I have talked to said that this is not possible...

Yeah. I've done both mission sets for both races in 1.0.0. Strange it is...

That's interesting. I checked the Missionbits, and yes, you can do that mission. The real question however, is, did you betray the UE?

No, if you don't do the Rescue Defector mission, you can work for the Voinians. The UE Cargo missions don't matter. You can get the Rescue Defector mission after getting around an average combat rating anywhere in UE space.

I did the defector mission too though, so was there a glitch or wasn't there?
You can get it after you've done the rescue defector mission.. just not after you've accepted the next one I think :).

If in doubt, try pressing 'I' to list missions. Click on each to read what's expected of you, and if it doesn't make sense or has been made impossible, you can quit the mission. Sometimes that results in a fine or a lowering of your legal status, though.
Personally, I thought getting the Voinian defector aboard and then jettisoning my cargo above Luna was hilarious. Perhaps the next traitor will think twice before he betrays his people.
