What do you think is the worst ship in EVO? The worst weapon?
I don't like Kraits, they are too easy to kill, do they even have shields? All Renegade human ships seem weak (Helian, Turncoat) but I guess this reflects their nature.
I don't really think there is any weapon that is really bad, maybe the Needle Rockets.

Heh. Well I'd say the Krait is the suckiest ship in the game. Hardly any shields, and absolutely NO armor, and they're not even that fast really. My least favorite weapon would hafta be Emalgha 'Turrets' which aren't even turrets, just swivel cannons and THEY SUCK. They hardly do any damage!!

Don't the Emalgha guns do a lot of damage to armor on ships like Voinian ones?
Worst ship: the UE Freighter, outside of galactic core.
Worst weapon: the Hunter missile, anywhere outside of the UE-voinian frontier.

The worst ship from the player's point of view is the Krait - useless to fly, impossible to capture (no armor), annoying or even dangerous when they attack in large numbers. The worst ship from its government's point of view is the Voinian Supply Ship - slow, no shields, not much armor, and plenty of cargo for the player to steal. If war in EVO were more like real war, the UE could easily destroy the Voinian Empire simply by cutting off their supply lines.

Worst ship is the Emaghla Freighter and the worst weapon...I suppose I'd have to say the Emaghla cannon (except against vonian ships, its one of the few weapons that work well on their armor).
Actually, the Emalgha Frieghter can be pretty good if you upgrade it. But overral, it stinks. But the Krait stinks even more.
Worst ship is obviously the Krait. (The equivelent of the Defender in EV if you ask me ) Worst weapon is either the Emalgha cannon (turret) or the Persuit Missile.

The worst ship would have to be Voinian Supply Ship, at least from the Voinian point of view. Those things are sitting ducks to just about every other ship in the game. They kept me alive while I was doing some campaigning out in Voinian Space.
The worst weapon would be the Emalgha Turret. In my mind they don't offer any benefits over the regular Emalgha Canon, just cost more.

Only evil people use those ships (Voinian/Renegade). I would say that anything with Voinian written on it, I'd throw it out into the back yard with the other junk. Sorry if I'm disn' the Voinians but they are comparable to a gun with out a bullet.

I wouldn't say that about the Voinian supply ship. Sure, it stinks a lot, but it ain't THAT bad. The UE Frieghter doesn't have any weapons at all!
And I don't think the Pursuit Missile is that bad either.
UE freighter is the worst, that or the Carrier. They are both way to slow.

The krait has to be the worst ship - 2 jumps worth of fuel says it all.. and to think it costs 5x what the shuttle does, and the shuttle really rocks by comparison!
The worst weapon would be the SAD/SAE modules as they have no sense of where they're going, and are jammed far too easily in the places where they are intended to be used.
Pursuit Missles rule! They're quick, damaging, and go over asteroids. Needle missles suck though.
Worst ship in game: If you ask me, the worst ship is the shuttle. The krait may have weaker shields and no armor, but it can fire and run from the shuttle and repeat the process until the damn crap is destroyed.
Worst weapon: needle missles, at least emalpha turrets do damage...

Exactly right about the Pursuit missiles. However, I'd much rather be in a Shuttle than a Krait. And yes, I would have to say that Needle Missiles stink, but they are easy to carry.
P.S. I am now the person with the 3rd most amount of posts on the Ambrosia boards, not counting Andrew.
Sure, the Krait can almost always beat the shuttle in a firefight, but then again, the Krait is a combat ship and the shuttle isn't. The shuttle is extremely manouverable for a courier vessel, and makes nice quick jumps. The Krait is just crap no matter how you look at it, as any combat ship in the game will make short work of it. Besides, a Krait will rarely kill a shuttle alone. The shuttle can usually jump out of a system before it takes too much damage.
Kraits definitely suck more than shuttles, i've taken out 2 kraits in the very begining with no more than what you start out with.
Weapon: The forklift...
Yes I said it! if you're desperate enough to use one, now that's bad enough, but on top of that it never shoots straight so it's worthless anyway. You can't use it as your main weapon, as it will kill your ship too at close range (i know it won't kill all ships in one blow but if you're using it you should already have a sucky ship) and it's too unrelyable for emergencies.

The defender is far superior to the krait if you ask me. high rate of fire, high shield recharge, it looks cooler, and its from EV.

I agree. It's faster than the Krait, MUCH faster, so it makes it a superior dogfighter, except for the fact that the EV AI just flys straight at you. I don't know about shields, but I also do know that Lasers are just like blaze, except they are stronger and have a longer range. If you have lasers, then you can Monty Python just about everything in EVO.
