Those arent the engines, those are the main weapons - its a pirate fighter

Well, sure it looks nice from that view, but the real proof of whether it's good or not is the view from the top, which is what you see the most in the game. Would it be possible for you to post a top-down view of your ship? If you don't have one yet, please post it as soon as possible. Thanks.
P.S.: Make sure to add some good shadows in the top view.
P.P.S.: What plug will this ship be in? Aroound when will it be released?

You can never tell whether a model is going to make a good EV(O) graphic until you've rendered it from top-down, at final size. Remember that a fighter is probably going to be a 24 x 24 size... what will show up, and what is wasted? Fortunately, some details will show up in particular orientations, even though you can't make them out in the orthogonal views. Try rotating the ship through each ten degree increment, and see what you get. If you want to see what it looks like in flight, consider making this into an aniGIF.
