Disagree. There could be one alien race, or two, or none, or they could all be aliens. EV got along fairly well with only one non-human race, A number of fictional galaxies have been populated entirely by humans. This plug-in universe can be anything the designers care to make it, including one that has no humans at all.
My personal preference, given the way this plug seems to be shaping up, would be an all-human galaxy.

Pretty impressive! And most of it is thoughtful on-topic ideas, too.
I have a web-page up, for the 1000 worlds project. The URL is: (url="http://"http://pantheon.yale.edu/~aoe2/main.html")http://pantheon.yale...~aoe2/main.html(/url) This will be the source for information about the plug-in, the progress of our work, the ideas churning out of our busy minds, and the chaos of our disorganization.
Anyone who wants to work on the plug-in and isn't currently involved should contact one of the five main organizers listed on the "comm" page. There's also an e-mail link on the main page to send an message to our current administrator, Stormbringer. He can include you in our project and help us use your talents.

Good job, Bubbles. Not real pretty, but functional - I like that. There is the usual problem with trying to view images posted on Crosswinds, but stuff happens. The site is a real asset to the project.
I know this may be an odd thing to add, but I always thought it would make an interesting TC plug in which there are different species, but all of them are of human origins.
The human genome project will one day allow us to push our own evolution. Meaning we will be able to alter out DNA anyway we choose, an infinite possibility of human mutations and new species could be made.

i know! ok ok, there would be 5 races, 5 galaxies. 1 race would be human (duh). there would be one race that is just beginning its space age, in a secluded area of the galaxy. the next one up would be just behind the humans in technology. after that is the humans. then come a slightly advanced above humans race. and finally the super powerful super advanced race, with heavy and light capital ships and a combo of dense armour and heavy sheilds (i dont call the crescent very advanced without much armour). each race would have a shuttle type ship, a light courier, a medium frieghter, a heavy freighter and a selection of 6-8 warships. each race would have its own weapons and outfits (the low tech race wouldn't have a rascoop for example) and they would all have different amounts of space depending on their technological ability to advance. maybe this could be the base for EV3...hehehe
err oops, not 5 galaxies, just 5 races in one hella big galaxy.
Okay, I hope everyone is reading this.
I'd like to direct you to our new board on boardhost which is here: (url="http://"http://members2.boardhost.com/1000worlds/")http://members2.boar...com/1000worlds/(/url)
We'll be using this for a few days until Jericon can find Jos and get him to send us his script so we can have a really fine board.
Anyways, I posted a welcome message on the board, which "all" gov members must read.
Also, as you are reading this, I'm converting bubbles site over to mine, and bringing in all the people that signed up but aren't on the team members list.
You want this to work right? Then its imperative you listen to me now. Please go to this new board, and please do exactly what I said in that post.
Why? Well because all of you guys are bursting out with tons of new ideas, but all they are is that, ideas on this message board (which is hard enough to read as is). None of it is really being documented, or agreed on.
We'll get this all worked out, but I'm going to need everyone's full cooperation.
Alright, now lets get this thing moving!

Never really paid attention to the X-men. I've seen a few ads for it... seems a bit more sci-fi based (ie people..FLOATING?) rather than more 'sci' based.

Jeez, talk about ignorance of your cultural heritage
The X-men have been around in Marvel comics for about 40 years now. The whole point is that X-men are mutant humans who have unusual powers far beyond any normal human abilities. The science they are based on is as real and accurate as the science in Superman or any other comic.
