MODERATION: If the Kayans were making particle sweeps of the system (which they would if looking for a ship) they would discover the vessel. However this does take some time and would not be effective unless the cruiser was completely disabled (which it was). And besides the fact standard LBS restrictions (also appled here) appoint the ridiculous size-to-crew ratio for Voinians implausible, and thus we said on many occasions that the Voinian vessels be reduced to half their crew compliment (see the Oasan Conflict, LBS 1). You can either accept this, or Thunder can merely gas the insanely large crew and drag them off the damn ship. Nova, your numbers are absurd. We go by 20 warships to the inhabited system, and 75% to 25% upper ships (Cruisers) to lower class (Frigates). And if you do choose to leave your crews at 800 to the Cruiser instead of 400, you will only have 10 ships to the system.
CONTINUATION: Rooster: "Open a channel to Freeport." Kayan: "Yes, Rooster." He pressed several buttons and the transmitter interfaced. Renegade: "Do you have official business?" He at least has a source of money. First Daedalus went to freeport where he saw that the Voinians had done some serious damage to the Kayans. Daedalus sent a transmission to Hindrix. <Our spies have reported that the Kayans were angered by your refusel to join them. They are now preparing a fleet to force you into joining. I am willing to defend you if you join the RA. As an RA planet you will recieve all the benefits, you will not be attacked by RA ships, and you will get money from raids. It will cost you 1 million to enter the RA. It is your choice, do you want to be unwillingly aquired, or fight for your freedom.>
Daedalus then met with the other leaders of the RA. "Gentlemen, you have done well in my absence, or money has increased but the Kayans are still a threat. They may get allies to help soon. I will ask for more money from Nova6 to add to our 5 million. Perhaps he can cut some corners to help demolish the threat."
<Transmission to Nova6> <From Daedalus> Urgent, the Kayans have begun negotiating with powerfull allies. Send 20 million and we can finish them off before the negotiations can be complete. Rooster, what you are saying about crew compliments is absurd. If this story about EVO, then let comply with EVO standards, which says that Voinian cruisers have 800 crew aboard there ships. You have no basis for making this number of crew smaller. To me it seems that because Nova6 is your enemy (as Oasa was in the beginning of the original LBS) you are trying to make it so that you can capture his ships easier.

Total overral ships in my space (any sector): 100 Cruisers, 150 Frigates, 200 Heavy fighters, 175 Interceptors, 75 Supply ships.
Total ships in UE space (UE space alone, not total): (Now under control by the Voinains)(These ships are under Lonevoinians control) 10 Cruisers, (40 were sent to attack south tip station) 50 Frigates, 100 Heavy fighters, 75 Interceptors, 50 Supply ships.
Total ships in Voinain space (original Voinian space): (These ships are under my control) 50 Cruisers, 100 Frigates, 100 Heavy fighters, 100 Interceptors, 25 Supply ships.
P.S. Lonevoinian can use his ships freely, but he has to get my permission if he wants to use his ships to attack somewere.

Daedalus, the Emalgha were destroyed when Nova6 invaded Emalghion.
Also, I am in no way going bankrupt. Reason number one, I am not expanding very fast. I only have two planets, and both planets have only little tiny bases. I barely have any ships, and those scientists were former crew members on my ships. I also moderately tax all the colonists on my colonies on S-570 and the other small colony I have (I forget the system name).
Samurai, your post is totally unreal. A Lazira is a small vessel with a weak hull, and a dreadnaught is at least ten times the size of it with heavy armor. What you did would never happen.

When Buba awoke he found himself in a small, dark room. One light from above shown down apon him. Buba noticed two or three other men standing in the room, but the darkness covered their identity.
Man1: "Good, he's awake. We can begin the questioning." Man2: "Well, Bubaganoosh... is that it?" Buba: "Yes, where am I?" Man2: "You are in one of the Zachit's questioning facilities. Next to the prison, which is where you will be kept unless you cooperate." Buba: "What do you want from me?" Man1: "I think you very well know what we want, Mr. Ganoosh." Buba: "Maybe if you untie me I could be a little more help to you." Man2: "I'm afraid that is non-nagotiable. You will stay here, tied up, untill you tell us the information we want. And if you stay here too long we might just get too tired and send you to the prison." Buba: "Prison, eh? Is that the best you can do?" Man1: "Oh don't worry Buba, after a day in that hell whole you'll tell us more that you can imagine." Buba: "I doubt it." Man2: "Well, we will see. But first, tell us what equipment you were carrying." Buba: "I don't know." Man1: "I'm sure you do. Why would you be carrying cargo that you didn't even know about?" Buba: "I'm telling you, I don't know. If you are so interested why don't you check my ship and see for yourself?" Man2: "Do you think us to be that stupid? We already checked your ship, a few times. We know what cargo it is." Buba: "If you know than why are you asking me?" Man1: "The point is is that you were carrying cargo that was probably linked in someway to the Voinians. We need to know who put this cargo on your ship and why." Buba: "I don't know." Man2: "Thats unfortunate. It looks like you will be spending the night in our little prison."
The two men walked out of the door and in came a couple of large task force members.

I agree, Samurai's post is implausible. And Rene wouldn't be sent unless you had agreed, i'm not sure how that was unclear.

I cannot see in my mind an Emalghan crew than would oppose dying to strike against renegades and Voinians. Close channel." Thunder: "Have you forgotten the escorts? They might not be as resistant as the Emalgha on the Zodiac." Rooster nodded. "Yes, however i need to do something first. I'm sure for the moment this place will be safe for my captives." Rooster began to run for the bay. Thunder yells after him: "Where can we find you?!" Rooster turned his head, still running: "Zachit!"
After several days on the Pultaq, Rooster disappeared behind a large asteroid in the Human-Miranu deadzone. He landed, and met up with a similar ship, also with Corocijak ID. Rooster got out to meet his friend: "For Corocijak. Good to see you again, Diblio." A tall dark soldier rose from the darkness, a rare Half-Voinian. Diblio: "Yes, Rooster. I need not be told our mission, i have already read your ship data." Rooster simply smiled and both boarded the Pultaq. Soon enough the small ship arrived at Zachit station under Diblio's fake codes. The two walked aboard the station and crawled into an access port the Zachit used in the event of a boarding. Diblio: "Now we get our fellow Corocijak from the jaws of misarrest."

Carno, you say your colonies are small, yet on one you have a cloaking device facility and on the other you have a lab capable of designing a new dreadnaught. You also say that you have not expanded fast but in just a few weeks or two you have felt the need to get yet another uninhabited planet colonized. You now have 5 million credits, I only want to warn you how much you are spending. Expansion + War = expensive ------------------------------------ Continuation: Daedalus, overjoyed by the money from Nova6 arrived at F-25. He could see that the 17 million he had spent on Mira had paid off. The colony on the planet had grown a little and there were even some small businesses starting up from the many construction workers living on the planet. Some companies had begun mining and chopping lumber from the lush forest. Things were developing quite nicely. In orbit though, was were the money had gone. Traders were still arriving with the metal that Daedalus had ordered and the space contruction firm had begun building a structure in orbit. Daedalus saw that he would soon be making a little money from this new establishment. Daedalus touched down at the makeshift city and walked into the lab facility where Striker was busily working. Daedalus set down the cloaking device on Strikers desk. "I brought a little present for you. A high quality cloaking device, it is one of the originals from the UE. Not any of the Voinian cr@p they make nowadays."
"Cloaking device! I haven't been able to touch one of these for years! I won't even ask how you got it." Said Striker looking at Daedalus suspiciously.
"I assure you, I didn't kill anybody or steal it to get it. I have had it sitting in storage for many years. How do you like the improvements around here?"
"Actually, I have been so busy working I haven't been able to look around much. People have told me you are constructing a shipyard. It seems as if the colony is already self- sufficient."
Daedalus: "Yes it has exceeded my expectations greatly. I have received all of the money for it from the Voinians. Actually that is why I came to talk to you. I had just completed a deal with the Voinians when I had a dream. I saw people in Voinian concentration camps, they were screaming, at least the ones that had enough nurishment to do so. Many were so thin they couldn't stand, they looked like walking corpses. I think that we have to free humanity. I know others that will join me. I didn't know where to get the money to start so I asked Nova6, the Voinian empire. If you can believe it, he has given me 35 million already and every cent has gone into preparing for his destruction. The Voinians are in a depression, soon I will try to stop the Kayan war to join forces. I will need an outfit to make the crescent ships stronger against neutron pulses though. We need better sheilds or better armor. Begin work at once. I have placed 5 million credits into the lab account. That should be enough to give you a good start."
Striker looked stunned: "I.. I don't know what to say, I am shocked, you a lowly renegade trying to take on an empire. I will do my part though, my team will begin today. You should ask the Miranu for help, they were once friends with us humans. You might want to use a different identity though, they aren't to happy with you."
"Thank you for the advice, I will leave today."
At that, daedalus left on a transport to Mira sending the Wind Thief back to the RA.
Cloaking device facility? I don't have one. I am still in the process of building one. And they are not 'small'. S-570 is growing steadily, though rather slowly. Oh, and I'm not trying to build a new dreadnaught, just try to design one.
Oh, and I thought Rooster owned F-25.

Carnotaur set up a meeting with the other captains of S-570 (i.e. Captain Subterfuge, Captain LoneIgadzra, Captain Specter, and Captain Knight - a newly added captain). During the meeting, on Freeport, Carnotaur discussed the situation. "We can't give Rooster 10 million credits. We don't have that much. Besides, I don't want to pay him anything."
"What about the crews of the three ships that we captured?"
Carnotaur sighed. "I don't have the heart to kill them. Just bring them to the prison on S-570, it's high security, and will hold them. Captain Subterfuge, interrogate them. Find out any info you can on them. You're an Igadzra, you should be able to succeed."
Captain Subterfuge nodded.
"Now, back to the main point..."
Suddenly, another Renegade rushed into the room. "Captain, escape pod approaching in hyperspace."
"Escape pod? It must be Rene!" Carnotaur shouted, and he and Captain LoneIgadzra bolted for their ships.
By the time they were under way, the escape pod had just entered slipstream. As the Red October approached it, Carnotaur noticed it was singed and damaged in several places. Using a tractor beam, Carnotaur was able to pull it into his Voinian Heavy Fighter bay. Then Carnotaur went to the fighter bay, and opened up the escape pod using a fusion welder.
Looking inside, Carnotaur found Rene. Apparently the escape pod had been attacked, and Rene had gotten injured. The panel where Rene had been sitting had blown out, and Rene lay moaning on the floor, with blood bleeding from burn wounds on her arms, leg, and sides of her face. She also appeared to have a broken leg.
"Get a medic down here now!" Carnotaur yelled.
Soon, Rene was in the hospital on Freeport. She was tired and dehydrated, and her injuries were severe. The doctor on Freeport also reported that she had some internal injuries, and that she would have to stay in the hospital for at least one or two weeks.
Meanwhile, Captain LoneIgadzra retrevied the sensor logs from the escape pod. Apparently, a Crescent fighter had seen the escape pod, realized that Rene was on board, and fired on it. However, the escape pod entered hyperspace and avoided destruction. Carnotaur, furious at Rooster, met again with his fellow captains to discuss the current situation...
CONFORMATION: Okay, I edited my post. Just act like that never happened. Wishful thinking I guess.
CONTINUATION: Samurai's damaged fleet heads to Outpost Zachit to see if it can convince the Zacha to join the Kayan Alliance to battle the Renegades. Samurai is strolling around Outpost Zachit prison, when he spies a familiar face.
"Buba! What are you doing in here?" "I was doing a special cargo mission for the Voinians, and suddenly the Zacha grabbed me for questioning." "Well, come on, I'll get ya outta here."
Samurai slices the lock with a red-hot knife. He disguises Buba as one of his crewmates, and deposits him safely aboard the Gunslinger. Then he heads back to Outpost Zachit to speak with Verane. Verane is louging around the bar. Samurai tells him that he is here on behalf of the Kayan Alliance, with the offer of an alliance against the Renegades. Samurai and Verane sit down to discuss the matter...

The Corocijak clan have no stationery facilities. Samurai, i will assume you didn't notice that Diblio and i were preparing to save Buba. I guess i can edit my special mission to be me and Aeshek with Intimidator heading for F-25.
CONTINUATION: Rooster was immediately stopped by Daedalus' patrols. They were waiting for orders from Daedalus as they couldn't take the heavy fighter alone. Rooster: "Open channel. Tell Daedalus i know about his plans! Let me come aboard! Close channel." Of course Rooster was bluffing and only suspected a hidden turnaround by Daedalus. He was surely dead if Daedalus called his bluff; he was too far away from any safehaven.
Daedalus was just leaving F-25 when he heard the report from his patrols. He ordered his transport to turn around and radioed the patrol to escort Roostersw to Security Bay 5. Roostersw soon landed with the patrols, security guards watched as roostersw got off his ship and began walking with Daedalus toward a meeting room.
Daedalus: "I don't know what plans you would be referring to but please have a seat and tell me why you have come. I can assure you that any plans you have heard were probably just rumors, there are always rumors about governments, I thought you were smarter than that. However, I suspect that the so called plans were just an excuse to get my attention. You have it now so speak-up. I am a very busy man."
Rooster: "Rumors have origin, and you would not have brought me here in such friendly nature if you weren't even remotely evaluating turning to the righteous side. If you aren't, i am your captive and so is Intimidator. If you are, i'd like a partnership. I can't give you much, but my people are loyal fighters and i could help you gain the trust of the Kayans. It's your choice; which side are you with?"
Daedalus: "You are smarter than I thought. This will not surprise you when I say that I would appreciate your help in getting on good terms with the Kayans, I will send the ceise fire transmission shortly. If you wish me to tell you why the sudden change, you must first clear my name with the Miranu, unfortunately I need their help. Please go to them before the Kayans. I will get together some sort of politcal negotiations with the Kayans to buy a little time."
While Daedalus waits for Roostersw to finish talking with an Emphalgan that he brought, Daedalus takes out his powerbook G44 and prepares a transmission. <Transmission Source: F-25> <Target: RA and Kayans> <This is Daedalus, I am ordering a ciese fire. All ships return to home ports. RA, send diplomats to Kayia, I wish to end this war.> <End Transmission>
Daedalus: "Well that is taken care of, do you have an answer roostersw?"
Rooster: "Of course. I am at your service. My friend Diblio is on Zachit Station right now, he should be able to handle negotiations as he represents Corocijak clan. However, i have one last thing to deal with, hopefully before word gets to Carnotaur what has happened." Daedalus nodded. Rooster walked down to the comm room and established a channel with Freeport. This time Rooster was not close enough to wait for an answer from Carnotaur. Rooster: "I will accept your terms. Return my entire crew and my ships to me and i will give you Intimidator. We'll make the trade on Mira as i before suggested. We meet at the Trade Center. End channel." Rooster took a group of Daedalus' officers with him disguised as Corocijak clansmen. Aeshek boarded last with Intimidator in a stasispod. Aeshek: "I swear if you make me carry this frozen thing again, you'll be sorry." Rooster: "Don't worry, we'll be rid of it soon. I only hoped we could have gained something off of this endeavor." The Pultaq blasted off towards Mira, to arrive a half-hour before Carnotaur would.
